I agree with most of the other recent comments here: the quality of service from TSOHOST has collapsed recently.

In addition to this, I've discovered a serious flaw with their email mailbox password security: it appears that only the first 8 digits of any password are checked!

My Dad's email account was repeatedly hacked by spammers despite numerous, complex password changes. However, I was only changing the last digits of his password, the first 8 remained the same and so the spammers could carry on logging into his account!

TSO support have confirmed my findings but despite asking them to fix it almost two weeks ago, the flaw is still present.

Since their user forums have been shut down, I'm posting this review here to try and warn their other long-suffering customers.

Please spread the word to anyone else you know who might be using TSOHOST!

I've been hosting with TSO for about 5 years. In the early days they were fantastic. Servers were very fast, the tech support was amazing and they went the extra mile. The cloud platform was continually developed and an excellent service.

Then the owners sold out to HEG. The support was outsourced to another country, support became slow and poor quality, the cloud platform has not been developed in the last 2 years, no new functionality. The servers are notably slower and downtime is a regular occurrence.

Its as if the new owners have just starved it of any money and nothing is being developed and whats left is rotting away.

Right now I could not recommend TSO Host.

Where do I start- floorless. Having ran a start up SMB that now has a collection of fast growing Wordpress sites, consuming more and more traffic / data, with not a huge amount of technical background myself, these guys are absolutely 10/10.

I don't know how on earth they have picked up any poor reviews, because the service we've had with them has been second to none.

Initially switched our shared hosting to them as our old host was very poor, slow and overloaded. Instantly found site performance more than triple, and we've been using their shared reseller hosting for over a year now - really, so happy and even with large, heavy loaded Wordpress sites it manages OK.

Support are fast to respond and more importantly, genuinely know what they're talking about (which is a nice change to my current host for another project).

Having massive problems with another hosting provider for our VPS, so this morning have started the ball rolling to get TSOhost to support us there now too. They might not be the cheapest on the market (although I feel it's reasonably priced), but with hosting you get what you pay for, and I really can't recommend them enough.

If you want a site for £1.00 p/m and don't mind having it drop out every minute, with poor support and overloaded servers then try those types of hosts. If your website being online is important to you, and you want to build your site with a host that actually knows how to look after you, and isn't just reselling hosting from elsewhere, then TSO host are definitely the right ones for you.

What a joke TSO Host has become. Not only are the support staff inept at answering simple basic questions relating to custom DNS settings but today their support website displayed the following:

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.

What a joke! When a hosting company doesn't pay it's own hosting bills, the above is what happens! Bandwidth exceeded.

Whilst the speed of the service itself is pretty good, it is let down badly by the support centre staff and dreadful support channels including the forum and YouTube channel which only hosts a handful of support videos.

Had a complaint/issue with server and hosting, called and complained and rectified situation. Spoke to manager as agent was unable to resolve himself. Outcome was satisfactory but manager was very rude at times, even flippant and disprespectful. I was happy with the outcome but not the manner in which I was spoken to.

We switched our business hosting and reseller account (comprising of 15 websites, so really busy and some non-built) to TSOHost after some really poor service with Streamline.net and Unlimited Web Hosting and we've never looked back.

The price we pay for TSOHost's reseller hosting is a little more pricy than before, but you really get what you pay for.

The include site migrations, which was absolutely critical for our business as we didn't have the resources to switch huge websites with loads of different software ourselves.

The migration of 14/15 sites was done within a couple of days. The remaining site was massive & we did expect a delay. The migration team were excellent and very professional. We were very anxious about the switch as it's our main business website but they didn't push ahead without checking - it took around 3 weeks but was worth the wait, site switched absolutely perfectly, including around 14 subdomains!!

Site speed is amazing - even with busy Wordpress installations. Brilliant support, even after 11PM which is great for our web guys.

Great control panel, reseller panel can be easily rebranded and is very, very easy to work with. The only complaint I would have about the reseller platform is you can't really customise price plans that much - it's just really bandwidth and diskspace so not that customisable. You also don't have full control over the domain in the same was as an un-restricted cPanel account, but the extra stability, no down-time, lightening fast speed and reliability of their site, service easily out-ways this.

Absolutely brilliant. Now we're with TSO, provided nothing drastic goes wrong, we will never switch and look forwards to scaling our site and services up to VPS's and larger reseller accounts in the future.

If you're with Streamline.net or Unlimited Web Hosting - or any other big names and you're sick and tired with rubbish support, slow sites and poor servers just make the switch - you won't regret it.

You get what you pay for, and with TSO the extra couple of quid a month really makes a huge difference.

After having moved around from one US based web hosting company to another over the last few years, I think I may have found a permanent home with TSO. I like the fact that they do not promote "Unlimited" bandwidth or storage. There is NO SUCH animal in today's market. Their prices are very competitive and when I delivered my request to migrate my sites, they jumped right on it. All I had to do was to point my DNS to their servers and I was neatly tucked away in my new home. My page load times are a lot quicker now. If you are looking for a new home for your site(s), you need look no further than TSOHOST. A great bunch indeed!

So many great reviews/satisfied users, it seemed a no-brainer to go for TSOHost when I wanted to change web hosters.

Phoned and spoke to a sales person, who assured me that migrating my site was all part of the deal, easy-peasy etc etc - just sign-up and we'll take care of it.

Wrong.

Tickets I opened to explain what I wanted from them were dealt with selectively, meaning that many crucial areas were either ignored, or glossed-over. And there's not much point TSOHost banging-on that their support is entirely UK-based if some of the people they employ clearly don't have written English as a first language. It made for some confusing, contradictory and ambiguous info.

In the end, it turned out that the 3rd party reseller hosting deal I currently have - which I'd painstakingly explained - made it impossible for TSOHost to migrate me.

What was worse was the snitty email implying this was all my fault.

Oh really ? A grudging "sorry if we implied we could help you, when in fact we couldn't" was the sum total of their profound regret.

I could go also to mention that for reasons only TSOHost can explain (but didn't) how they registered my own name as my domain name.

Waste of space basically. Maybe starting to believe their own publicity how great they are.

Don't doubt they're capable of providing a fine service, but on this occasion, they were more concerned with signing-up new business without bothering to find out anything about it. And when the task at hand proved beyond them, they couldn't give a flying finagle and couldn't wait to bail out.

Put simply, I've moved from an 'unlimited' supplier based in the US, which was down at least once a month. After moving to TSO Host I've had zero downtime and the support are excellent, I don't think I've waited more than 20 minutes for a reply to a query. The prices are affordable and for me offer great value for money.

I have always looked for reliable web hosting, having been a previous customer of Unlimited Web Hosting, I was not satisfied with the constant server outages and disconnections. My clients were not satisfied with this service and it was beginning to have an impact on my sales.

After deciding to choose Tsohost, I would never look back, I get super quick server speeds and 100% uptime. The customer service is also second to none! They don't oversell but instead offer fair packages that are guaranteed and will not lead to unfair suspension!
