This was my fourth order from Henry Herbert over the years and I must say that the quality and service seems to get better and better. This time around I purchased two suits - a grey flannel one and a navy one. Alongside the undoubted quality of the English cloth and the way it has been cut and made, what I particularly like about HH is his can-do attitude and willingness to have any small alterations carried out with zero fuss and in double-quick time.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Henry Herbert to anyone considering having a suit made.

Having had consultations with 5 other Savile Row tailors, I opted for Henry Herbert based on my confidence in them after our first chat, and the materials and options on offer. First of all, it's worth pointing out that I approached HH and lead with the very short time-frame I had as a constraint. Keeping in mind that this suit is for my wedding, it had to be perfect on the day. HH confidently told me that they would work to accommodate this, while leaving enough time for additional fittings and adjustments.

While I'm prohibited from mentioning names, 'The Staff' were utterly brilliant. Talkative, engaging and full of suggestions and ideas. I'm not often to be found in a bespoke tailoring establishment but I was made to feel welcome - no question was too stupid, no idea too outlandish. Creativity and suggestions were offered were appropriate to stop me committing any crimes against fashion. The experience in the room was palpable.

Due to my compressed and unforgiving time-scales, two more brief fittings followed. At the final consultation, there was one aspect with which I wasn't quite happy that would require (I thought) a lot of alteration. I was travelling to the wedding venue in 2 days, meaning the suit would have to be altered and in my possession by the following day. Before I could fly into any sort of panic, I was told 'not a problem at all, we'll do the alterations tonight and courier the suit to you tomorrow'.

Long story short - it was done, it arrived on time, and it was utter perfection.

Nothing fazes these guys. Having a bespoke suit made is not just about the end product, it's about the journey and experience. With HH, both aspects were more than I could have hoped for.

I received some bespoke shirts as a birthday present, which were a real treat. After receiving a voucher as a present, Henry Herbert came to my office and measured me and let me choose the design and fabric. A few weeks later the shirts arrived at my house and did not disappoint.

I already have one suit and a few shirts from Henry Herbert and they are both a great fit and a different quality to the other shirts and suits that I own.

Also, not being a great shopper myself, the convenient service was much appreciated!

Henry Herbert have now made me two suits. The first, in linen, was last Spring in time for the warmer weather. I am too old to look 'cool' but it was good to both well dressed and cool in the old fashioned sense. The second, which has just been completed, is a 'broken' suit, a brown tweed jacket with blue trousers. Something which can be dressed up or dressed down. Both suits are beautifully cut and fitted. Charlie and his colleague were great on advice on both fabrics and styling and were invariably courteous and helpful, without over-influencing my choices.

Every stage of the process of getting my men's wedding suit tailored expertly by Henry Herbert was executed brilliantly by the friendly, polite, flexible, highly skilful and ultra professional Henry Herbert staff. It could have been complicated and stressful but Henry Herbert went out of their way to make things work for me. I'm absolutely delighted with the suit, will be recommending the service to my friends and will be returning myself to fulfill my future suiting needs.

Through entirely my own fault, I left my wedding suit rather late in the day. Every tailor I called replied, ‘No,’ ‘No way’, ‘Not possible.” Not the words I wanted to hear when I was six weeks away from my wedding. I asked friends if they had any recommendations (something I should have done from the start) and I was met with an immediate reply: “Henry Herbert!” I have never left a review before, but I am leaving this because without doubt they went beyond what all other tailors were prepared to do and the end result is my wedding suit: something I will cherish forever. They have me as a customer for life now. They told me they could make a suit within six weeks, but I mentioned it was difficult to get out of work for a fitting. Not a problem they said! They met me at my City desk with their Savile Row scooter service and two weeks later the baste fitting was ready. I elected to have this on Savile Row. The craftsmanship was exquisite – I normally have my suits made by another firm further down the Row and this was as good, if not better, than anything I have had before. Ahead of schedule, two weeks after that and what looked like a lot of hard work, we had my subsequent fitting, again in a basted state. I was extremely happy with it and decided no further fittings were necessary. Great cloth, great suit and unbelievably great service. I would whole heartedly recommend Henry Herbert Tailors.

I ordered three suits and three shirts from Henry Herbert. It took several weeks from start to finish and I found the service as good as the suits and shirts they made for me. We had three fittings in all, although as far as I could see everything seemed absolutely fine on the first fitting. I was travelling extensively during the two months but they kept me politely updated with their progress, which I found re-assuring. I actually put on a little weight because of constantly eating airline meals and I asked on the second fitting that everything be let out little. The finishing on all the suits and shirts is second to none and the fabric quality is the best I have seen in my twenty years of buying bespoke suits and shirts. I received a thoroughly professional and bespoke service – right up until delivery. I asked that the garments be sent to me and I was expecting to be told to wait in all day for the delivery. Instead, they asked the precise time and day I wanted it all delivering – I specified 5pm on a Friday afternoon (a bit mean of me, but the most conveneient time for me) and it was all delivered then and there on the dot. This really summed up the extraordinary lengths they went to with me: utterly professional and tremendously service orientated to the customer. Ten out of ten for Henry Herbert Tailors. I will be back again!

Henry Herbert - great, round the clock service and a great investment in suits for me. I ordered two suits and they met me at home with their Savile Row by Scooter service. They showed me a range of fabrics and four weeks later I wanted to see them on Savile Row for the subsequent fitting. The fittings were pain free and the cut of the suits slim but elegant. The second fitting took place four weeks later and now the suits have finally arrived – dropped off at the precise time and day that I asked for. The suits are as good as their service – top marks for a small firm showing how things should be done.

My first experience with a bespoke suitmaker - decided to see if there was any difference as am usually not that fussy. Henry Herbert Tailors was recommended by a work acquaintance and I decided to go for one suit to start.

Enjoyed the whole process, from the personalised consultation and helpful advice, and convenience - tailor came to meet me at my office between my meetings etc. Learned a lot about the different options and in the end, they helped me choose something that worked for me.

The whole process does take quite a few weeks, with fittings in between, but was told the expected timeline up front and they delivered ahead of time actually, which was a pleasant surprise. In the end, received a quality product that is noticeably sharper than other stuff I own. Really pleased. They definitely know what they're doing and I will be ordering up other suits and possibly a coat. Well worth the wait and the money spent.

Great service and great product. I normally find buying suits a chore but using Henry Herbert's was a real pleasure from start to finish. The advice I received was great, everything was completed on time and the end product was excellent quality and all for a very reasonable price.
