Read Beyond Trust Pilot

Ever wondered why a company doesn't have reviews on their page from customers? Service Stop hides behind what I can only imagine are fictitious reviews on Trust Pilot that still bring in business. I was charged for a full service and MOT, but when I challenged the "service advisor" who was trying to get me to part with a grand and constantly contradicting himself, he terminated the call with "have an amazing day" as he realised his tactics of persuasion wouldn't work with me.

My car was returned with no paperwork, and multiple chasers to the garage directly and Service Stop to provide the failed MOT and alleged full service ignored. Reported to Trading Standards & CAB and am recovering the funds for both through my bank as had to arrange another service and MOT today so I'm not driving illegally/have evidence that the vehicle is fully serviced.

I'll be sending a case to Trust Pilot with all the reviews i've found from customers who've found themselves in a similar position to mine and worse to understand how their reviews are in such contrast to the thousands of other reviews and customers groups set up on the back of their underhand dealings with this company. Sadly, I trusted Trust Pilot as I was up against it time wise.

Totally Incompetent

Total waste of time. Booked with them weeks before my mot was due. 2 days before my appointment they emailed to say they cancelled as they had failed to find a garage. By this time all local garages were booked. Totally screwed me and didn’t try to do anything to fix their massive screw up.

Ridiculously Charging High Price

I used Servicing Stop for Full Service & MOT on 15th January and paid £187.35. After carrying out 100 point check and MOT, I had a call from Servicing Stop to say that the car failed MOT due to require new passenger side viper. Then the price was quoted £86 to replace new viper. This is where I didn't agree to pay for the new viper. He was so pushing me to agree to their price and get the job done. I asked him whether he would pay that price for his own car and he said NO. Even then he was trying to convince me to pay. The price quoted for the viper was ridiculously high. The company should relook to their strategy when it comes to pricing and stop looting the loyal consumers and tax payers. I have audio recording for this call.

Avoid At All Costs!!

They won't tell you where your car is being serviced, or the phone number. They try and sell you things you don't need, and charge you for 'special oil'. The inflate the prices of any parts, the garage does not get what they are charging you. They lie, make up things that you need, when you don't, and things that were not even recommended by the gargage. I have reported them to Trading Standards - I am not intimidated but I can imagine that a lot of people wasted a lot of money paying for things they didn't need. This company should be closed down, they are no different than the companies that call and try and sell you stuff you don't need.

Absolutely Ridiculous, They Find Things Wrong With

Absolutely ridiculous, they find things wrong with your vehicle that don't need addressing/fixing and then charge you double. Our vehicle was delivered in a worse state, than when it was picked up. Customer service takes between 5 and 7 days to respond, so we haven't had a working vehicle for over a week (over the Christmas period). We ended up taking it to a reputable garage and paying even more money out. Please read all the other negative reviews of this company, before making the same mistake we did.

Do Not Use! They Force You To Leave A 5* Review To

Do not use!

They force you to leave a 5* review to be able to do the payment before even been able to see or try the car. First off, I booked my full service on a wednesday for the friday. They called me on Thursday evening to change the appointment to Monday, wich already was inconvenient but kept going as ive got a full service for £120 and the car was needing to look at. The garage people who took the car were very lovely, although stop servicing were a completely rip off. They called and a sales man try to sell us a Bill of 2.5k (same value as the car). It ended been £500 for changing the break fuel, engine flash (who knows what that is) and an oil surchage. Those Jobs shouldnt be more than £200 although they over charge quite a lot. The problem will end there but the car still exactly the same, with the same errors and the same problem in the engine.Tried to contact them to give me a solution and they dont want to be responsable. Again, cheap things ending costing to much.

Do not use, you are much better off going directly to the garage. Dont deal with this people.

Do Not Use.

Having booked a service and MOT I was tricked into paying £1700 for work that was not undertaken on the car. I was told my car was too dangerous to drive back from the garage until work was carried out...the prices are at least 3 times that of a local garage (even though they use local garages) and you are basically blackmailed into paying. I paid and put my experience down as a learning curve...only to get a knocking noise the following day. I took it to my local garage who sorted it and nearly fainted at the bill I had paid for work. They quoted me £280 for the same work...and actually checked what had been done. My new brake disks and caliper were fictional. The garage has written me a formal statement and took photos to support my case for a refund. Trading standards have been informed. They just rip you off...from the "special" oil to unnecessary work that won't be carried out, but charged to you. Just don't bother, go to your local garage and forget these London wide boys without morals.

How I Recover My Lost Funds

I feel devastated and betrayed after someone i trusted took $753,000 from me though a transaction we did and I feel so disappointed and hurt knowing that someone can snatch from you without remorse after trusting them, so I started searching for help legally to recover my funds and came across a lot of Testimonials about Mrs Naomi Trader who helps in recovery lost funds, which I can tell has helped so many people who had contacted her regarding such issues and without a questionable doubt their funds was returned back to their wallet in a very short space of time, it took her 21 hours to help me recover my funds and the best part of it all was that the person was actually located and arrested by local authorities in his region which was very relieving. Hope this helps as many people who have lost their hard earn money to sham artists out of trust, you can reach her through her emails for help to recover your lost funds and thank me later.

Unfortunately, I Was Lied To Over The Phone By The

Unfortunately, I was lied to over the phone by the sales people what are obviously got targets to hit by telling me that the garage recommended stuff and they actually didn’t need and telling me that they could only get BMW parts when the garage used Japanese imports on my car and charge me three times the price on work what was not necessary I feel like this company should be fully investigated into the way they deal with customers and the things they are saying to them over the phone. I had to chase an invoice off them and that was difficult enough to be able to print that off, they phoned me at 3 o’clock by 5 o’clock my Car was ready with over £1000 worth of work done to it in two hours. This is impossible. I have no issues with the garage itself but the people on the phones because they have obviously got targets to hit.

Never Again!

PLEASE believe me that you are heading for hidden prices and stress if you deal with this company. Here is a summary of my experience today.

1/ A charge of £5.99 +vat for a "fluid top-up" that was not needed or carried out.

2/ An aggressive phone call telling me that £300 of extra work was needed, an "engine flush" and a "brake fluid change". This was a complete sham, the engine had done 3000 miles since the last change a year ago AND the brake fluid was changed a few months ago. The agent put as much pressure on me that he possibly could but I stood firm and refused.

3/ You WILL be charged an extra £30 for "manufacturer recommended oil". All manufacturers recommend an oil but the garage simply use their standard oil that meets recommendations. You WILL pay an "environmental" charge" as well.

4/ Their "Full Service" is ONLY an oil and filter change (plus some checks), at other garages it includes air and cabin filters and new spark plugs. You will pay an arm and a leg EXTRA for these.

5/ If there's a problem or complaint they cannot be contacted, you are referred to their on line "chat" that isn't available if you try it, just a "virtual assistant".

6/ It's no good complaining anyway, their agents are instructed to try any tactics to get you to part with ever more money. Presumably they earn commission.

7/ This company will not save you money, you will find as good a price if you shop around local garages. In my case I ended up paying £120 when a local garage would have charged £65 for an oil and filter change (which is all I got).

Q&A

Sue142

I have booked my car in for an MOT and there are no pre existing problems that I am aware of. However, if they find something that needs doing, but I would rather get it done elsewhere, please confirm that if I find a cheaper quote and they will return the car, then that they will carry out the MOT once its done?

Ajam1212

You only pay for the MOT test. The MOT test centre is independent of garage it is situated at.If it is a fail you have a time period of 10 days I believe (will say on the fail sheet how long). To get the work done wherever you wish and then return the vehicle to the same test centre for a retest at no extra charge as long as it's within the stated time on the fail sheet. MOT centres are essentially government regulated as are the testers.

Where are they based in Telford?

DEastham

Unsure where they are based but I would avoid at all cost. Prices will rise when your car is already in, they attempted to charge me 5 times main dealer price for low ash oil (over and above the oil price already paid), they do not follow manufacturer service guideline as advertised and to top it off car returned late. Look over the Internet for many poor reviews
