Worst gym I ve ever been to.

Most of the facilities outdated or not working...

Pool is closed very often and they can not be botheres to notify customers by text or...

You can go in and out hardly ever be noticed let alone greeted by any members of staff.

They re usually in two's chatting to each other, its a challenge to get their attention.

Duty managers can not deal with anything, I do not know why they have them there anyway...

I would never recommend this to anybody...

Just to comment that the staff at Bromley are very friendly and helpful. In particular Salif who is always full of energy and ready to help.

Salif is the cleaner at Bromley gym.

If you are considering a membership at Nuffield Harrogate, please reconsider as they simply don’t deliver & issues are simply brushed under the carpet.

Milton Keynes city centre Nuffield.

Customer service, front of house is atrocious. Never experienced such cattiness. Anyone that covers at the front are bullies and they laugh with them. Very gang handed and prejudice. Getting past those doors at reception has turned into a dictatorship style reception. I wouldn't recommend joining here. The staff have been trained to torture and bully members. Senior staff are fully responsible for this and enable this behaviour. Mk community warned me about them.

I have been a member of Nuffield Gym St Albans for over 10 years . It is now a shadow of itself and needs a complete re boot.

Here is the snag list:

Dirty

The whole place especially the weights and fitness machines are filthy dirty. I have never seen them being cleaned. They provide bacterial wipes but more recently they have stopped replacing them.

The toilets and men’s sauna are disgusting too.

The fitness machines

Often broken, old and many have disappeared leading to queues at peak times

Staff

Ignore you at reception and do not check people are working out safely . They also bully you off machines when they have a session with a paid client.

PT trainers are only driven to talk to you if you are likely to pay them.

Staff take and giggle amongst themselves and ignore people in the gym.

Opening hours and amenities

Opening times have been cut in the evenings on the weekend.

There are no free towels to use now

The cafe is hardly open

Cafe furniture is dated old and totally uninviting

No newspapers

Staff seem to keep the cafe floor clean but why when the changing rooms are totally disgusting

Leaking roof

When it rains hard the roof leak and water pours through the lighting outside the squash courts

Aggressive kids

More recently aggressive boys have come into the gym. They sit on machines and text, swear and shout in the changing rooms and sauna creating an intimidating place where members should be relaxing

Air conditioning

This is non existent making it very uncomfortable to train there

Fees

These have gone up a lot and with the list above, Nuffield are not value for money or competitive

It would be great if Nuffield sold the club to someone who cared to invest in the club properly

The facilities are alright not worth £120 plus per month fee:

Worn carpets,ladies sauna is often not at temperature and lacks an insauna temperature guage.In my experience complaints are not addressed, forcing one to seek redress from head office. Overall the front of house management lacks attentiveness and responsiveness.The GM appears to only take into consideration the views of his staff. Don't expect him to respond to complaints with any sense of urgency,if at all. The leatherhead team in comparison are a cut above in terms of service.

Disappointing experience for a "tier one gym/flagship."

Avoid using their mental health services as their therapists are inadequate and of low quality. This company can negatively impact your mental health. Their mental health liaisons lack empathy, and they show no concern for your well-being or the quality of the service they provide. Feedback and concerns are handled by a robotic team without empathy, who believe leaving you without mental health services is a solution. "Providing feedback" to the services team is treated as a legitimate response. Their staff is not abreast with current company procedures and I was incorrectly provided information from an outdated policy from 2020.

I have experienced issues with two therapists in their service. One therapist wrongly billed me for sessions I did not attend and failed to inform me of the remaining sessions until the billing issue arose. The second therapist kept confusing the number of sessions I had left, neglecting her responsibility to manage administrative details. An hour and a half before a scheduled session, she canceled because she was unsure of my session count. This level of unprofessionalism is unprecedented in my experience. Nuffield allows it.

I refuse to tolerate further mistreatment by this company, its incompetent therapists, and liaisons who show no concern for individuals. Unfortunately, they have not addressed the issue nor do they care. For the second time in a year, I found myself without a therapist due to their unacceptable service. They cause harm to people and evade accountability. If you raise concerns they just quickly discharge you from their service.

Upon requesting a DSAR, I discovered that Nuffield does not provide their therapists access to a portal or system to track the number of sessions clients have or have left. This highlights a significant oversight on the part of Nuffield. Their mental health services will make your mental health worse.

They do not comply with their complaints procedure and ask what you would like as an outcome but won't provide you with a refund or compensation. They essentially are forcing people to continue to be harmed by their service. Their Relationship Coordinators are charlatans and have stated the only way I can get redress is to take them to court. This place deserves to be shut down

Nuffield hull

Would I recommend this gym defiantly not it’s clear they don’t value any of there members and are out for money above all else if your to make any kind of Complaint they don’t like it and threaten you and brush problems under the carpet hoping it will all go away.

There personal training staff are completely unprofessional and are only there to have a laugh with each other you sometimes over hear them talking about members behind there backs it’s disgusting considering there suppose to be there to help people not judge them

My advice to anyone would be to avoid this gym at all costs there are better gyms around with better facility’s and better staff you won’t be welcome in there unless your face fits this company needs shutting down and there charity status should be removed
