The Bingham Richmond, Surrey

I've visited the Bingham Hotel before, but never ate at the restaurant.

So, I thought as a bit of a treat I'd give it a go. As you'd expect from a Michelin star restaurant, the food is extremely well presented and clearly a lot of love and attention has gone into it.

The menu was good and varied - a bit of something for everyone, including one or two adventurous dishes that you might not get at other restaurants.

My starter was exceptional in taste and appearance, my main course was good (but not amazing) and my dessert was also good (but again not stunning).

So, overall, really nice, definitely worth going, but it wont stick in my mind forever as the best place I've ever eaten. Had the quality of the starter been evident in the other two courses I suspect it would have achieved that extra level that would have stuck in my mind for a very long term.

I'd go again though.
