Mira Monobloc Basin Mixer Tap

Very nice looking but poorly designed and engineered. The operating lever very often doesn't close the tap off properly so leaves a very small trickle of water which runs down the underside of the main body of the tap onto the flat surface of the sink. On my sink the water found its way into the sink cabinet and onto the floor causing damage to the ceiling of the room below.

I don't think this is a manufacturing fault, rather, an inherent flaw in the design.

mira fluency, look very nice, but on using the tap a screw comes out and you can't turn it on or off. miras customer service not good.would not recommend mira or this product.

Having purchased this tap we were initially delighted. The appearance of the tap is great and it complements the bath taps .

However our delight was short lived! The tap allows water to run through the plug lever, at the back of the tap, directly into the cabinet below. This makes it impossible to clean without having a basin to catch the water placed in the under sink cupboard . Communication with Mira team resulted in being told that there was nothing that could be done about this and that the tap should be cleaned using only a damp cloth - not ideal when you have small children! Even when washing hands the residual water from just turning the tap off runs down the back into the cupboard. Not a good buy!

This is a well made product that is easy to keep clean,operates consistently smoothly and unlike some other mixer taps does expose the workings below whenever the lever is raised. The only downside is - after use the tap retains an amount of water (approx 20ml) which is released 30 secs later into the basin - rather spooky and annoying after cleaning the basin.Nonetheless a nice product.
