What a brilliant service is provided by Thomas Exchange, 5 Market Place. Queues can be lengthy at peak times but the reason for this is that Thomas Exchange offer the best possible rates together with a quick and friendly service. I was originally recommended by a friend and have not hesitated in recommending them to many friends - who to my knowledge have all been incredibly happy.

Thomas don't always give the very best rates but I have always found them competitive. They are efficient but not pushy like some companies in this field, and I have found them to be reliable and helpful at all times. An email did take a bit of time to be answered recently, but Thomas stood by the verbal offer and I was happy with the rate I had from them. I appreciate this low-key approach and the fact that I am able to deal with a named person at all times.

They offer competitive exchange rates, a low transfer fee and full electronic service. Staff are helpful and responsive. Just a pity that weekend transactions need to wait till a Monday to be attended to which can delay things and result in the exchange rate changing, but this is only a very minor and quite understandable matter.

I've now used them to buy foreign currency and to transfer money overseas and been satisfied on each occasion. I also like the hassle free approach and personal service that is available when/if you need it.
