City Moves Removal Company

First used the company 2 years ago and received an excellent service. Used them again in Aug 2016 - terrible service all around - Feels like a different company.

Our experience- Van turned up 2 hours later than expected, without pre-arranged wardrobe boxes resulting in us having to pack best clothing into bin bags. Sofa and cupboard scratched upon loading into van and internal hall wall damaged. Rang the company next day, terrible customer service. Was told "as far as we're concerned the job was completed yesterday". If things don't go to plan don't expect a sympathetic ear. They were a good company sadly it seems they aren't anymore

The service I received was very helpful right from the start. The gentleman who arranged it for me was very polite and professional. The 2 removal men took care of everything and moved my daughters belongings safely from Barry to London. The price was the best from several removal companies. I would recommend their service to anyone.

Company staff never once moaned about changes in move date - and there were lots!. Chap who surveyed house professional and informative. 3 Guys who moved us on the day could have had their own stand up comedy slot and really took the stress out of the move - would definitely recommend them . PS they were one of the most reasonably priced

I WAS DREADING MOVING BUT FOUND THE GUYS VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL AND COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST THEY EMPTIED MY HOUSE - EVEN TOOK ALL MY GARDEN POTS ! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND HAVE NO NEGATIVE POINTS AT ALL - THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Stressful long distance move made less of a problem by City Moves. From the first assessment to them driving away all went well. So far only a single martini glass broken! That's a result from all our "stuff". Thank you

Extremely impressed with the entire service, from initial meeting with City Moves staff upon visiting our old property to determine what volume of items required moving etc, the telephone staff being helpful and understanding with our move date changing constantly, right up to the removal team on the day.

Entirely professional, many laughs on the day which helped to relieve what can easily be a stressful situation. The team arrived on the day as stated, they worked quickly and efficiently in loading everything, transporting and also unloading. The removal team on the day really are a credit to the business and I would definitely highly recommend them to anyone.

So in summary a hardworking team that are professional and experienced, you will not be disappointed using City Moves.

Staff were organised and polite, would recommend to family and friends. Throughout the process from initial contact to the removal of the packing boxes was professional, very efficient and could not be faulted. We look forward to using them again when we secure our next property.

We were really impressed with the service we got from City Moves, from the communication with HQ before the move to moving day itself. We found them to be very competitively priced too, and they actually seemed to have a fair pricing system (some quotes we got from other companies were one price when we enquired online,and another when we called up). It was the first time we had used a removal company- until now, we have always rented a van and done it ourselves. We were so glad we chose City Moves as they made everything easy. They packed our belongings efficiently and quickly and kept us explained every step in the process (like how things were packed, how it would be unpacked, and how long things would take). They took great care of everything, but took special steps to protect the items we told them were particularly important to us. We actually think they went above and beyond, as they spent a good 30 mins (or more, come to think of it) trying to get our awkwardly-shaped sofa into our new flat and not wanting to give up, even when we told them to! (We always suspected it might not fit!) the guys I dealt with  were lovely to deal with, very helpful and couldn't have made things easier for us. In general, we can't recommend them enough. We had a very good experience of using this company.

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to the entire City Moves team, the surveyor was great and very professional/knowledgable/experienced and friendly and the staff that turned up to do the move were exactly the same. Nothing was too much and we all had a giggle, but by heck they worked their socks off!! Very impressed and just thought you all should know.

I would recommend them to any one and the fact that they are a long standing FAMILY RUN company but are able to compete against the bigger (national) companies is a major bonus for me and I had them recommended by my friend who had them move her (and family) to Australia last year.

Fantastic service and experience.

Service provided what exactly as was described.No hidden costs whatsoever.The men were punctual,polite,friendly and did the job never changing their attitude for the whole day.

Our move was certainly not the easiest.A 3rd floor flat with a very small lift.They have used the lift only for the boxes as the bigger furniture was too big so they had to use the stairs and manage a few tight turns.I guess they are used to this kind if situation.Also their fitness levels are extraordinary.

Once at our new place we showed them around and they got in with it.Everything was also placed where we wanted.

We could not have asked for more.
