Under 16 Using Jacuzzi
Jacuzzi I. The ladies cloak room is constantly used by children under 16 years old. Today a parent made an excuse he only has his legs in the hot tub and didn’t ask him to leave the jacuzzi. The cleaner told her son could not sit in the hot tub and she became very defensive. The cleaner spoke in a professional manner and replied if you don’t comply I will have to call management. This particular member showed very aggressive behaviour and made me feel very uncomfortable whilst I sat in the hot tub. I have a prosthetic foot and she accused me of intentionally stepping on her foot. This is not the first time this member has allowed her son to sit in the hot tub it has happened before. DL need to be a bit more strict in placing signs and warning related to age restriction.

Worst Management Ever
Applied for a role in Sales at the Heston branch. Got an invite to recruitment evening, it was a long way away but my girlfriend got me an Uber as she was worried about delays on the Elisabeth Line. Arrived @ 18.20 at reception was directed to the same area where all the rest, invited were waiting, @ 18.30 we were taken to one of their meeting rooms that could sit up to 50 ppl, I believe we were 45 ppl, presentation started by sales manager for Heston and sales manager for Kingston. They went around each table asking us to introduce ourselves. Then they gave us a 5 min break after which the two managers came in holding paper cups, which they randomly placed in front of a few a each table, those with cups in front of them were instructed to leave the room for the room next door. Then both the annoying managers came back to us saying very brutally that we didn’t quite make the cut so we’re free to go home. I’m speechless at the way the entire recruitment evening was conducted, it was bloody awful.
The two sales managers need to be trained in human relations as they behaved like robots, without a shred or an ounce of empathy.
Bottom line is do not ever apply for a role in sales with David Lloyd because you would be treated like sales, just another number!!!

She shows great leadership skill and has a very fair mind set when dealing with minor issues in the spa/pool area.

Hygiene Concerns
I registered for a Diamond membership with David Lloyd's and was told that I had 14 days to cancel for free. However, my experience there was nothing short of distressing.
On our very first day, we encountered an uncomfortable situation where male patrons were behaving inappropriately, making lewd advances towards women. To our shock, we discovered that two other women were discussing the same issue. This kind of sexual harassment is completely unacceptable.
We decided to leave immediately and canceled our membership on the very same day. The receptionist informed us that other women had also decided to leave due to similar reasons, which raised serious concerns about the spa's safety.
Additionally, there were hygiene issues as well, with people spitting in the ice that was meant for use after the sauna. This is not only unsanitary but also poses health risks.
I reached out to David Lloyd's via email, and they canceled my membership as requested, charging me only for the day I used their services. However, to my astonishment, a month later, they charged my bank card £150 without any prior notice or explanation. This is a clear case of deceptive practices and fraud.
Despite my attempts to contact them, no one responded to my emails, and the phone calls went unanswered. It's deeply disappointing and unprofessional for a business to ignore customer concerns and engage in such practices.
I have taken the necessary steps to have my bank refund the unauthorized charges. My advice to anyone considering David Lloyd's is simple: Do not go there. Your safety, well-being, and financial security should always be a top priority, and this establishment does not seem to value any of those things.

Great When Signing Up, But Ignored Once They Have Your Bank
It is with great regret I am having to write this negative review. There are many great things about the club and staff effort to ensure you are looked after especially when you are signing up is second to none. Unfortunately the same cannot be said with regards to the aftercare.
I have been trying to amend my family platinum account for over a month now as myself and my family are unable to make it to the club on time. We were turned away at 20:30 as the staff stated they needed 30 mins cleaning time in order to close at 21:00. Multiple messages left at the Heston club membership voice message and all have been ignored. All emails are responded in the first instance with a question but never then followed up.- This has caused the biggest issue as membership team "do not take calls during Covid". Head Office are particularly apologetic but seem to be ineffective. I was told last week they would contact the General Manager at Heston to return my ignored calls. I have called Heston every day only to be told the General Manager is in a meeting or she is not on site. It has been over a month of calls, messages, apologies and I still have not spoken to the correct department. If you want added stress to your life you know what to do!

No Social Distancing At David Lloyd Heston!
NO SOCIAL DISTANCING AT DAVID LLOYD HESTON!
Members are constantly hugging and gathering in large groups. Equipment has NOT been spaced 2m apart. In the spin room the cycles are less than 1m apart. Have reported to management who refuse to do anything. Please don’t join this club if you value your health and/or those around you! This club is a disgrace and will hopefully be shut down soon!

David Lloyd’s Heston Contracts Need Reviewing
I have had a membership with David Lloyd’s in Heston for 2 - 3 yrs now and had my 2 children under the same membership as under18. As soon as one child became over 18, they were tied in a new separate contract and extra money for that is taken out from my account. The membership is not being used much as child is at uni, therefore got in touch soon as the new contract started and explained the situation as did not wish to pay £150 approx a month for something that is not used.
Concerns were not dealt with in a timely manner and doesn’t seem like a clear formal complaints process for customer feedback and improvement is followed or that anyone cares.
Rolling contacts need to be received as customers get tied in for 12 months and it is extremely hard to get out and have any refund from them out of courtesy, or as an outcome of a complaint. No compassion or empathy. All is okay until you have a problem which should be seen as an opportunity to make the club better.
Heston David LLoyds is very unhygienic even after the publicity and seeing it for myself were a customer had left faeces in the swimming area and the same naked man seen in that area. Not good for anyone to see and especially Holstein. It was disgusting.
I still continued my membership and wish I had not now.
I would not recommend David Lloyd’s especially Heston branch - go somewhere else where you have flexibility and customers are looked after and listened to. Also save loads as expensive here - they keep putting prices up with no improvements made.

Poor Customer Service
I have worked in customer service for over 4 years. And I have never experienced such bad customer service from this branch in particular. I wanted to cancel my contact for the last 6 months; sent emails, phone calls, spoken to managers and over 10 members of staff who claim. They will get back to you.
They never give you a straight answer and always say we will get back to you. The David Lloyds scheme is just to make money off you. 3 months of payment before you can leave? Which is fair enough but connoting me for 6+ months membership is disgusting.
I would assume all the branches operate the same way. I would highly recommend for no-one to use their services as they are an complete joke.

Indifferent Staff
This branch has to be the worst I have frequented and its down to totally disinterested staff - I am paying £180 per month for a couple but we were charged right at the end with an extra £40 each admin charges when all of our details were on their system from four years back and they did not ask for any proof of address or anything so what were we charged £80 for? 2 plastic cards and to input our details onto a screen?
I informed them my partner was on holiday for two weeks and I was told no problem by the girl who got me to sign the contract with the manager alongside her . However every time I go in I can't just swipe and go in and then when I go to the desk I am told we have to let you in as the contract is not signed!!
I am a vantage customer but never offered a towel- you have to ask.
The staff just seem disinterested and never smile. They just appear surly.
I ordered poached egg with soldiers for my little one but it arrived as whole pieces of toast.
The sitting down bar area is already looking dopey and you can't relax there because of the way they have placed the sofas and chairs so that everyone has to go through you yo get to the gym,classes and courts.
The whole atmosphere is terrible.
If I could I would leave but they tie you in and make you pay through the nose.
This branch really needs a change of staff and new bright motivated smiley management to make the experience more pleasant.

Empty Building
The club used to be a full of members but now days all activities gone down badly especially tennis. There are no more tennis for children, adult social club and the tennis league is gone since the new manager took place. There are no more fun and I would not recommend to anyone to join this club .
