Teokath, Wimbledon

My mom and I were met by Levi on arrival and the entire experience was just fantastic. Levi understood what we were looking for, made a few great suggestions and actually ended up picking out the dress I chose. The store had a great selection of dresses and was set up very well and made it easy to work with. Once I chose the dress, Levi suggested some accessories which worked great and we made the purchase on the spot. A nice glass of bubbly at the end made it the total experience I expected :)

The owner was incredibly rude, and had awful customer service. I would not go back there or buy my dress from there. Despite having to pay £50 for my appointment and getting that off a dress I wouldn't buy from her. Incredibly unprofessional.

I cannot recommend Paverley and Teokath of Wimbledon enough! Having booked appointments & been to seven bridal boutiques and shops, the sisters at these two stores set the standard- friendly, knowledgable, not pushy, with just the right level of guidance.. Teokath was fully booked on the day we would be in Wimbledon, so our initial appointment was with Paverley. However, having got a sense of the style my sister was looking for (& having tried several dresses at Paverley that were beautiful & almost hit the mark but were not quite 'the one') we were advised that in fact the Teokath store stocked a range of designers that would likely appeal to her ... & everything was then done to ensure that we could nip up the road to take a look & try the gowns there. The shops are both spacious, with plenty of changing room space. Being a family run business definitely shows & for all the right reasons; there is a good ethos and communication between the two boutiques. There was no sense of rushing through your appointment slot, there was no appointment fee, nothing was too much trouble; this is how it should be done! Relaxed, enjoyable and an attentive service. It is a shame that we are not to write staff members names in this review, however we would like especially to thank the owner of Paverley for all her help, advice & for making the experience an unpressured, positive one! Having been to five Wimbledon bridal boutiques and several in town, we will be back to Teokath to place an order. Thank you!

I booked to have my wedding dress altered in Chambers and then tried to cancel 4 months before my first appointment. They refused to give me my money back. They could have just filled my appointment with someone else and it was no loss to them. They profit even when they don't provide a service. Disgraceful

Yesterday I went to Teokath of Wimbledon and Elys Teokath store. I found that the staff were extremely attentive and friendly and helped me find the perfect time dress after being unsuccessful in many other shops. Being stressed out as only having 6 months until my wedding, i was reassured that they would get the the perfect dress in time. I would highly recommend Teokath to anyone! With their range of dresses, from vintage 20s styles, to modern sass, anyone woman would find a dress in their stores!

Great experience when I was buying the dress, but bad experience post this.

I had to deal with them after I had made the purchase and the experience was not personal at all. It was like the transcation had been made and that they were unhelpful from this point onwards.

I would recommend only because there is a good selection of dresses and good value although service lacks

I had a fantastic sales assistant that made me feel so at ease. I initially felt overwhelmed by trying to find a wedding dress, but it was easy. They had a great selection of dresses for all tastes. I wanted a lacy dress and they had plenty. My mum and sister were made to feel welcome as well, second appointment there were tissues standing by for my tearful mum! Well done teokath, happy bride to be!!!!

Had 2 appointments at Teokath, Wimbledon recently. On both occasions I felt rushed by the staff.

I tried on 4 or 5 dresses, and they already seemed to expect me to know the style of dress that I wanted. Whenever I asked to try something different, they snapped that I was "making it harder for myself"! I don't see how anyone could be expected to decide so quickly, especially given the price of the dresses.

I wasn't impressed with any of the dresses that I tried on, and the cubicles that you are given to change in are small and cramped. On both occasions I had to wait to be seen, despite arriving on time.

Overall I wouldn't recommend, both in terms of the products and customer service.

After visiting several bridal shops and being pushed into a sale, went to teokath, thinking it would be another bad experience but was really enjoyable, the assistant seemed to know exactly what I was looking for and did not push me into a sale at all, will be going back to confirm my dress choice x

Teokath was my first experience dress shopping and it was lovely.

A delightful lady helped me and was very knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with, she made me feel so comfortable.

I would recommend them highly and was made to feel very relaxed on my visit, nothing was too much trouble and a lovely place to have such a special moment.
