Appalling - Avoid!!!!!

Beyond awful customer service. We are told different lies each time we call the store to chase our order (from 7weeks ago!), no call backs when promised (time after time) and no sense of decency.

Avoid at all costs they take you for a ride. We need the carpet for a specific reason/date (new baby) and they have been aware of this from day 1. Doesn't make any difference, they do not have any scruples.

Allied Carpets - Terrible

I bought some flooring for my kitchen and 6 weeks later it still hadn't arrived. They kept making excuse after excuse and making promises they just couldn't keep. In the end we had to get a refund. They aren't the cheapest and their service is apauling. The manager of Leeds branch was actually quite rude. Avoid!!

Faulty Carpet. Help?

We carpeted our new bungalow with carpet from Allied Carpets in Spalding. Black marks started appearing in every room even the spare bedroom. By now Allied in Spalding had closed. Contacted Allied and the manager came to have a look and said it was wax and a fault with the carpet. He said he would report back to Head Office and come back to us. We have never heard back from anyone. We have sent letters recorded delivery but still no answer. The marks are getting more prolific. Very disappointed with Allied. Have moved over 10 times and have always used them. Never again. Does anyone know how to make contact with them so we can get this sorted?

Terrible Company ( Hull East Yorkshire)

They do not turn up when they are supposed to...there is NO Communication between fitters and sales staff. Pushy to get a sale but as soon as they have got your money they don't want to know! They all blame each other for mistakes and do not take responsibility. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR A DECENT COMPANY!

One Star Is Too Good.

What a shockingly bad company. Do not waste your time or money as a previous review has said. I paid in full and was told my carpet for the hall, stairs and landing would be delivered between 09.30 and 10.00. At 11.00 there was still no fitters, I called into the shop and they said they would be there in the morning but arrived in the afternoon.

Once arrived the carpet was too short for the area which the company had measured, obviously incorrectly, and there was a slash in it and therefore my carpet was damaged goods.

I contacted them several times and asked for a refund but each time I was assured they would refund me they did not. I still have no carpet and no refund.

They have had my card details several times to no effect and also gave incorrect details when I asked for the head office number.

Do not pay until all goods are received.

Disgruntled in Manchester, Stretford.

Do Not Waste Your Time Or Money

We ordered our carpets in March 2013 and we are still waiting for them to be fitted! when we ordered the carpets we were told they would be fitted in 2 weeks!! The service has been very disorganised with them forgetting to come out and measure the carpet and to date they have only ever returned one of our calls. We have been told differrent things by different staff and are still unaware of why are carpets have taken so long.

At our last call we were promised that we would be contacted last friday and the carpets would be fitted early this week and that they "have the fitters on stand by". My partner called them today as again they failed to contact us on friday to be told that the carpets will be fitted in a weeks time and they can still not confirm when the laminate will be fitted.

The whole experience has been full of empty promises. The staff have been very unappologetic about their service and always seem to want to get us of the phone quickly (probably so other customers don't here). I have advised them of how we need the carpets quickly so we can put our house on the market. If it wasnt so frustrating the company would be comical.

I never normally comment on bad service but feel I need to warn people considering using Allied Carpets in Hedge End. Please dont! we have paid for carpets and laminate flooring to be fitted in everyroom of the house and you woudl think they would value us a customers. A very very poor service and we are still waiting for them to provide the service that they told us would take 2 weeks in March!

Terrible Company

It's been nearly 2 months we ordered a carpet from Allied carpets great

Western road Glasgow and there is no sign of the carpet.

After 4 weeks I phone them and they say there is a problem

With it's production! Then they say it will now be sorted

And they would phone me to update but not received any updates.

They would not allow you to cancel even they cannot produce the carpet

2 months after ordering it. Allied carpets is a disgrace and I am

Not surprised when companies such as these go bust.

It's a way one gets punished for years of cheating people.

Consumer really has v little protection because of their

Unfair terms and conditions. Never buy from this place.

Wish I Had Taken My Parents Advice And Used Local

Wish I had taken my parents advice and used local independant carpet shop. Will list problems in bullet points to keep things brief.

Fitters rolled carpet flat. face down on the road outside with no protection resulting in one oil spot noticed once carpet was fitted.

Both joins were awfull and had carpet pile stuck in the adhesive making them glaringly obvious.

Carpet fraying at various points around edges and poorly fixed to grippers

Was told I "Did not have a leg to stand on" by Dunfermline store assistant when requesting a removal and refund for carpets.

Awfull company a hard lesson learned by me.

After Moving House, We Decided To Fit New Carpets

After moving house, we decided to fit new carpets in the majority of the rooms. We mistakenly went with Allied Carpets who took three attempts to fit carpet in both the master bedroom and hall way, despite separate vists to measure-up. On each fitting attempt, new carpet was delivered that was too small. After a suitable size carpet was brought and finally fitted, we have found a bald patch appear on an area that is not even walked over very ofter (near skirting board, end of the hall). Calls to the shop were anwsered by some form of animal who could communicate at best using grunts, sighs and 'we'll call you back mate', of course they never did. All in all, a thoroughly poor service. We would never use them again.
