The site removed all contacts from the person that contacted me.

I sent at 7.00pm EST 7/11/2014 to the sites “contact us” process “ I am concerned Samantha, 64 from Canterbury, VIC is a site hoax you have in place to get me to sign up and spend money. If this is the case I will pass it onto the Ombudsman ”.

They responded as you will see below and I believe the response is a cover up for a hoax they used to lure me into spending money on a subscription. I certainly had everything in place and including photo’s of me.

We have a security system to prevent these people from joining. This system ensures that all profiles are moderated and screened before going live on the site. This is something that we were keen to bring in to prevent our members from being contacted by 'Cam Girls' or 'Scammers'.

I got tricked into joining this rip-off granny dating site. I was really annoyed to find that I hadn't joined the original one, but just some knock off, crappy competitor. It's got hardly any members in my area, and the tools available are so dated, they might as well not even bother having them.

The worst part is I paid around £35 quid for this terrible experience. It was only by chance after joining dateagranny.com that I stumbled across the site I intended to join, grannydating.co.uk.

All I will say to any guys, just watch out for fake copy cat sites like this one, they are not going to do you any favours! Stick to the original sites, they are better value and have been around much longer, so have a huge community of members.

I just wish I could get my money back :(

Joining this site for the first time i accidentally set the wrong membership option . Intending to take out a one month subscription i pressed the button and within seconds had purchased a 6month package at substantially more .

A genuine mistake i wrote to the customer service and explained what happened and asked them to refund the difference between the two packages . A reasonable compromise i thought .

Result : Total refusal to refund and i am left fighting the issue with visa .

Be very careful .

Of course the other issue is that they create the illusion that there are dozens of members near you and then having paid the membership you find out most members haven't been on the site for over a month or longer . Doesn't say much for your chances .

Poor customer relations . Would like to know how many active members exist that are close enough to meet.

I came across this web site via a search on google, and the reason I am writing this is because this is in my opinion the best of a number of similar sites serving this growing market. It is just very easy to navigate and there is a wide selection of interesting people online, some of whom are just right for me. I have not been disappointed and I feel that the web site just represents truly good value for money for me. Its a bargain.

Crikey - this is an interesting site. I have been a member for six months now. The first three months or so nothing happened, and I nearly cancelled a couple of times, but matters have picked up tremendously recently. I am now a happy bunny. My only wish is there were less men competing with me. Overall though this is a minor complaint. Great site.
