Aston Matthews Contemporary Bathroom Taps

Bleu Provence (BP) in Italy, is a manufacturer and supplier of beautiful bathrooms. Some of its products are promoted as own brand by Aston Matthews.

BP currently has a 30% promotional offer on all items in its catalogues. I contacted Aston Matthews to see if they could source a tap and price match. Ordering directly from BP by a non VAT registered buyer is not cost effective due to import VAT.

Aston Matthews confirmed that they could order the item from Italy. However, they do not pass on any discounts.

Contacted just now by BP who warned me that Aston Matthews had contacted them to say that I had posted a negative review because they would not sell me a tap at a discounted price. This is a blatant lie.

I have not left any reviews on this business. All my interactions with this business in respect of their price match policy is in writing so there is no ambiguity on context and their position.

BP, asked me to remove the review that we have both not seen because it does not exist. I have obviously requested a full and humble apology.

Data protection and libel issues aside this is extraordinarily nasty behaviour by Aston Matthews. Other retailers such as Archiproducts, Claybrook, Dyke & Dean, The Water Monopoly, West One Bathrooms etc do not charge more than BP - even when a promotion is not running. Aston Matthews does.

we were looking for some good quality contemporary bathroom taps and fixtures and were getting fed up of the standard websites which seemed very much a pile it high kind of approach. Then we found the Aston Matthews website which exudes quality and sophistication.

When we called the showroom, we were dealt with in a friendly and professional manner and there was no pressure to buy. Having been reassured, we bought online and were very pleased with the Strand range of bathroom taps. Yes, they are more expensive than much of what you will find elsewhere but they are made in the UK and are obviously very high quality. so if you want soemthing a bit different and are prepared to pay abit more then you will not be disapointed.
