Shocking After Sale Service
Shocking after sale service
I had cupboards fitted in 2017 and wanted some pull out drawers added as the shelves they put in were not fit for purpose.
I visited the wednesbuy store to get a some solution to the storage problem. After speaking to the salesman who was really nice he quoted for 2 wire baskets and one shoe rack costing £435. This includes £150 installation charges. The installers fitted the drawers which were not equal distance and still not fit for purpose.
So the installers said to add another basket. When I called the office to order another basket the man there said one wire basked and installation will cost £550. I don’t understand his maths.
3 baskets and installation cost £435, one month later one basket and installation cost £550.
He then shouted at me and told me “ that’s the cost take it or leave it”
After literally shouting at me he then hung up!
He was so rude and said that we have paid them for the main installation and this minor changes is not cost effective so he is going to give me extortion charge
Shocking serve !!!
Stay away at any cost, there are many other bedroom and kitchen installers with good after sale service
When you look at their website this is what they say
“ we are still very much a family business who will always put the customer first”
What a load of rubbish !

Kitchen Issues
I got my kitchen design and fitted from starplan not great from start.
The side panel of one units is splitting and when I spoke to starplan.They came back with excuses not too fix it.
But would fix it if I paid them.
They just don't wish to do anything about it poor customer service at best
I would advise people too stay away from them.

Totally Awful Experience
I ordered wardrobes and was looking forward to getting them. They were installed then I noticed the cornice and plinth were a different colour than the doors. The paint and cornice were a taupe shade and the doors a grey shade. Also one of the doors bowed slightly. I went to the store in Boucher Road in Belfast expecting to be dealt with in a helpful and professional manner- how wrong was I. I then received a call from the “Customer Service” Department in Dungannon who alerted very rude and totally refused to help - oh but if I paid to have the problem fixed they could fix it!!!! Also were extremely rude and told me I didn’t have any rights! Now I am having to go to the Ombudsman and the small claims court to get a resolution and I will never be shopping at Starplan again. These bad reviews seem to be a trend off late unfortunately if you look at Trustpilot!

Avoid At All Cost
I purchased 2 built-in wardrobe. I paid a fair bit of money for both. Upon inspecting the slide robe that was installed I noted that there was a damage on one of the glass door. The Starplan shop in Portadown that I made my order with told me it has nothing to do with them and I had to liaise with a customer service manager who is no help. This person has been extremely unhelpful and promptly sent me two emails to say I will need to pay for a new door as I am only getting in touch 7 weeks after installation.
I am encouraging prospective buyers to go elsewhere. The money you will save will not compensate for the poor after-sales service that comes after. I have noted from other reviews that Starplan’s poor customer service is not unique to me. I spent in excess of four thousand pounds for a product that is damaged and to fix this damage I have been asked to pay more money. I am warning future potential customers please please please avoid Starplan. I would not recommend them and would give them zero stars if possible. In the current economy Starplan should take a look at the way they treat customers. Its horrid that they are so quick to take your money and once you have parted with your money thats the end of it. Do not be taken in by the shops that you initially contact. Once the items are installed the shop will tell you it has nothing to do with them and they pass you to a very unhelpful customer service manager. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid

Awful Office Work & Planning
If it wasn’t for the fitters who performed brilliantly our daughters bedroom would have been a complete botch up! We had a feeling after our first visit to the showroom in Warrington that we were not being listened to or understood despite several visits. Eventually when the fitting day arrived it was no surprise that the measurements taken by the man at their office were not correct and therefore we now have a bedside dressing table with just set one of drawers on the left instead of set either side because of those incorrect measurements. We were refunded just the minimal cost of the one set of drawers with no consideration for the way the bedroom now looks compared to who we envisaged it. We are also still waiting for replacement doors and surfaces as their finish from the factory were not to our liking. For what we spent on the bedroom I would definitely avoid the Warrington branch.
Only positive would be the guys that came out to fit the bedroom. They were first class and tried their best to overcome the hurdles their office gave them in regards to measurements and plans. I suspect they were used to it.
My recommendation would be that individuals with experience of the ‘fitting trade’ should be who the public speak to when they first visit the Warrington showroom. Their ideas, insight and experience would have been priceless at the start of our journey rather than just a sales person.

Simply Outstanding At Every Stage
From the initial showroom contact, which was welcoming and informative, to the very helpful and professional home planning stage and the installation of the final fitted bedroom furniture we’d struggle to praise starplan any higher. Communication throughout the process was faultless.
On the day the fitters did an outstandingly fine job, nothing was too much trouble and the finish is of a very high standard. Small touches weren’t missed and the final product is exactly as planned. No mess was left and we were even left with three spare shelves.
The huge smile on our son’s face when he saw the finished bedroom will stay with us, and him, for a very long time!

This is the second time we have used Starplan and we are once again delighted with our new wardrobes. From start to finish it’s been a fantastic service. From Abbi who we initially dealt with, she spent lots of time helping us make our choices and designed our wardrobes to the fitting by the guys who were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, They were extremely professional and went that extra mile to make sure we were very happy with the finished product, Thanks again starplan, exceptional customer service. We would definitely recommend.

I have free standing starplan furniture and I am moving shortly. I am extremely concerned that I will not be able to dismantle the wardrobes myself. They are very heavy, and I foresee difficulties getting them up and down stairs unless they're dismantled.
If you could please advise.
We bought a fitted Starplan bedroom suite for our daughter and had to move the free standing StarPlan furniture out. My husband did not actually dismantle it, but managed to move it to another room with his brothers' help. There was no damage done to it and it now resides in our spare bedroom. The wardrobe was a double one with drawers in the middle. Hope this helps.
Can I change my fitting date?
I purchased a King's size bed and mattress from Star Plan in Coleraine in April 2016. I had problems with the mattress i.e.bad back and not being able to sleep. I've turned the mattress and it feels like I'm lying on a sack of potatoes and not able to get up out of bed to after 3pm each day in misery. I visited the shop and was met with a negative/cross response that I should have turned the mattress every two weeks and I have wrecked it because of this. I had to have help from two other people to turn the mattress every time. The lady in the shop recommended the mattress and she knew about my condition. The shop told me someone would investigate the mattress in a couple of weeks time and I am left suffering. does anyone have any help as too what I should do next? The base was guaranteed for 10 years and the mattress 5 years. I was not told that the mattress was to be turned every 2 weeks and it is a heavy beast I could not physically do this. I am gutted and severely disappointed with this firms attitude.
Best of luck. I had problem with 2nd rate fitted wardrobes. Not told at time that it was not wood. It is actually cheap planks with a plastic film all over. This is now peeling. I had same very bad service when ringing, very ignorant woman. Was a few months out of guarantee. She said "why have you rung if you know guarantee out of date". Was not cheap and would not have bought if known how it was made. We are pensioners and did not expect to have to renew or live with rubbish, it will be difficult to afford to replace. Cannot understand problems with beds as there were photos in store of vono beds which was a very old and well known bed manufacturer. Their customer service is the worst I have encountered, you cannot get past the bad mannered woman. On checking reviews I found we are ones of very many others who have had trouble with company and that woman. They give answers to complaints with possible solutions online but that flies out of the window when speaking with that woman.
Could someone tell me how long Starplan 10 year guarantee has been running?
I remember my daughter going to Starplan for a new bedroom about three years ago and they offered a 10 year guarantee then. Not too sure how long it was going before that.
How much room do the delivery team need to build a wardrobe? Does the entire room need to be clear?
Our Fitting teams are highly experienced and are instructed to treat your home and furnishings with respect. To avoid any possibility of damage to your property and provide the fitter with a safe working environment we request that the room where the furniture is to be fitted is completely emptied of your personal belongings, room dressings and furniture.
Although every possible care is taken, due to the close fitting nature of fitted furniture some markings on walls, floorboards and ceilings may occur. The room is therefore best decorated after installation takes place.
