Copa Cardiff Central

Copa is at the heart of Cardiff's busy pub / club / restaurant quarter. For several years it's had a good reputation for its excellent range of bottled and on tap lagers, ciders and beers featuring British, Italian, Belgian and assorted choices by tap.

The setting is gently refined with a mix of coffee n cakers on low leather setees to regulars supping (pricey) specialist beers and diners.

I've eaten fantastic mussels here in the past, presented in a steel, lidded terrine fresh from the oven with home made bread. Today it was a business lunch snack of 3 large, plump duck and springonion rolls with flacky crip pastry neither stodgy nor greasy. Think chinese take-away rolls - adn these are a million miles apart! Truly yummy with a side of dressed salad - a fine light lunch. Fellow diners were well dressed and a mix of business and pleasure, young and old. Well worth calling at!
