A Total Disappointment From Start To Finish (samsung Qn85c)

I ordered a £1300 Samsung TV via their eBay shop and the 2-3 day delivery turned into 6 as soon as I paid, then a day or so later added another day on just out of spite!

When the extended delivery day came, with no communication I decided to call to see what time it would arrive.

I was given a rather lame sounding excuse that it was out for ‘redelivery’ when Both myself and Wife are retired and hadn’t seen any sign of attempted delivery (3 days earlier allegedly!!) nor been advised of it.

I asked him to contact me as nobody seemed to be any help, but he failed repeatedly over 6 hours and several reminder calls from me.

I had suggested to them that they either assure me it would arrive, or I would cancel it. They just cancelled it and said nothing, only one guy bothered calling back after I called late in the day but with bad news, and I’m still waiting for a refund.

The tracking details they supplied were nonsense and didn’t work.

So from tracking, lack of delivery, useless help, the repeated failure to return my calls, the cheap useless lying courier and the as yet failure to refund me had turned into a nightmare.

I went to Curry’s and collected the same TV within an hour and I’ll never use these useless clowns again.

The Person I Spoke To from Peter Tysons Came Round

The person I spoke to from peter tysons came round to check my settings on the speaker system and do some troubleshooting with my amp/ hdmi connections after some picture quality issues.

Very knowledgeable and informative and has given me a far better insight into the equipment I have. Tweaked setting on my sky setup and speaker calibration/subwoofer and just did a very thorough professional visit.

It’s the kind of customer service that separates a excellent family ran business from the competition

Great Purchase, Good Price, Great Customer Service

Peter Tyson have been great. I recently purchased some AV kit from them. Firstly the kit is great .. very happy.

Secondly Peter Tyson have proved have excellent customer service combined with competitive pricing.

The proof of the pudding is always how a vendor deals with issues. My first delivery had a few small assembly problems with a couple of items when I opened the box. A couple of quick calls to Tysons and action was very promptly taken to resolve to my satisfaction.. repack and replace .. no hesitation!

There was also a bonus item as part of the package that was not available at the time of the original delivery. This was a supply chain issue that meant a delay of several weeks however the communications with Peter Tyson were Generally excellent and eventually the items turned up as expected.

Summary: one Happy Customer! + Peter Tyson very highly recommended. (I will definitely consider Peter Tyson right at the top of my go to list for the future)

Very Bad Return Policy & Customer Service

Very bad return customer service.

I've purchased Naim Muso speaker for £1300. The quality of the sound is not great. when I try to call them few times. they don't answer the return option in the phone. eventually I get through. They want to post back the good on my own cost which I agreed until I found out it will cost me £92 to secure post it. I've email them and of course NO REPLY.

Excellent

I knew of Peter Tyson through seeing their ads in What HiFi S&V magazine. I purchased an ex display amplifier and it came in as new condition. I'm really pleased. If, like me, you usually buy your Hifi gear from a dealer in your area, don't be put off ordering over the Internet from this "local" dealer instead.

Blast From The Past - E-commerce 80's Style

Charged my CC and than said that my "international" moneys are not good enough for them. Took forever to process the refund. Friendly but useless. Too bad for them - found better deal elsewhere.

Could Do Better

I have been a customer of Peter Tyson for over 10 years and have spent over £50k across a range of projectors, tv's and hi-fi goods. 10 years ago their service was attentive, reliable and first class.

But although they have expanded through being successful and competitive I think they are much less reliable especially towards their loyal customers and are perhaps taking them for granted.

I have just spent another £2k on items having had an initial discussion some weeks ago - I was promised a call back (never received) and an email detailing their advice (never received). Having chased a response I was promised a call back (never received) to discuss my order. In the end I purchased some items elsewhere, but carried through a purchase through Tysons because they were cheap and perhaps out of mistaken loyalty.

So in the end I was happy enough with what was a transactional relationship, but if i was looking for bespoke service and advice, then I'm afraid you'd better look elsewhere. A real shame, because I think they can do so much better.
