We'd Planned To Eat At The Boucherie For Our First
We'd planned to eat at the Boucherie for our first meal of our honeymoon in Paris but sadly they close no Mondays so we booked for our second night instead. Meat is the restaurant's obvious theme so we knew what we were in for.
The staff were AMAZING! So friendly and couldn't have done more. We really felt special.
Our shared starter of Fruits de la mere came with a herby, fresh from the garden, salad and teased our palettes for what was to come. My wife bravely order stake tartar which came a little to reminiscent of a huge, fat, raw hamburger but tasted good though the texture was a little too fine and frankly the portion was too large. I had half a chiken that appeared to have been hacked up on the bone after cooking. The gravy was delicious and the meat tender, but again a huge portion. The accompnying seasonal vegetables were tasty and were very fresh. We failed on deserts but after finishing a decent bottle of wine we lumbered back to our room just short fo 80euros lighter. Not amazine but good and worth a visit just to meet the delightful front of house staff. Just as long as you eat meat of course!
