I Gave One Star As They Do Not Have Any Minus Stars
I joined on 3 month offer, they sent me one set of matches in two months so I asked for refund. I will paste their response below but basically they asked me to change my religious belief, ethnic choice, distance, age and pretty much everything about who I am looking for so they can send me matches. Useless and no refund
my responses to them are the caps locks

I have already responded twice to this so not sure why you are sending it again and by the way the first time I left feedback on the site was one week after joining but you didn't bother to respond

Dear ,
Thank you for contacting eharmony Customer Care.
I am
sorry to hear that you wish to leave our service, and I would like to provide you with some clarification regarding the number of matches that you are receiving. I would like to let you know that we deliver new matches to you as soon as we find them once our daily search is complete. The number of
matches you receive at any given time can be a reflection of changes to your Match Preferences as well as the number of eharmony members who are not only compatible with you, but who also fit your selection of
personal preferences. There are times when you may receive many matches but there are also times when you may not receive enough matches. I HAVE ONLY BEEN SENT ONE NEW MATCH IN OVER A MONTH THE OTHERS ACTUALY DONT MEET MY CRITERIA AT ALL
With this in mind, I would like to provide you with some
suggestions which will help to increase your matching pool. I would recommend keeping an open mind regarding distance. For example, if you are willing to receive matches from 35 miles away, it is better to
choose a 60 mile radius rather than a 30 mile radius. With a 60 mile radius, you can always close any matches between 35 and 60 miles, but a 30 mile radius would prevent you from receiving anything over 30 miles, even if it was just 31 or 32 miles away. We have many successful couples that have met the
love of their life from distances they might never have considered before. Of course, this is entirely a personal decision, and if you feel a match is too far away, you may certainly close the
communication. THE MATCHES YOU ARE SENDING ARE A MINIMUM OF 20 MILES AWAY MOST ARE OVER 60 MILES AWAY WHICH IS TOO FAR FOR ME IN ANY CASE
Moreover, I see that you have selected to receive matches who are White, non-Hispanic and Christian matches. I certainly do respect your choices and we do not wish you to
compromise with them. However, in order to open your matching pool, I would suggest that you please consider expanding this setting by selecting other or more ethnicities and religions that we
have. WHY WOULD I CHANGE THIS I FOLLOW THE CHRISTIAN FAITH ANY OTHER WOULD NOT MATCH MY LIFESTYLE AND WHY WOULD I BE MATCHED WITH SOMEONE I WOULD NOT BE ATTRACTED TO
If you wish to change these settings, you can follow the directions provided below:
1. Log in to your
eharmony account
2. Click the “Match Preferences” button at the top of the page from the dropdown menu on top
3. Click the left or right arrows to highlight the “Distance” tile
4. Click on your current distance selection displayed under the line “How far should we search for your matches?”
5. Click on the selection that indicates your distance preference
(b)
3. Click the left or right arrows to highlight the “Ethnicity” tile
4. Click on your current Ethnicity
selection
5. Click on the selection that indicates your Ethnicity preference
Be sure to select "Save"
We completely understand that these settings are personal to you and would never ask you to
compromise your beliefs or preferences. We only want to make suggestions that could potentially help increase your matching pool. WELL THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE ASKING ME TO DO AT 51 YEARS OLD YOU ARE ASKING ME TO COMPROISE MY BELIEFS AND PREFERENCES SO THAT YOU CAN SCRAPE THE BARREL AND FIND SOMEONE WHO
YOU COULD CALL A MATCH AND I WOULD NEVER BE ATTRACTED TO
In the meantime that the system sends you more matches, I would suggest that you communicate with those that you have under your account.
THOSE YOU HAVE SENT ARE EITHER NOT ON THE SITE, OLD, UGLY OR LIVE TOO FAR AWAY, THEY ARE NOT THE TYPE OF PERSON I WOULD BE ATTRACTED TO LIKE YOUR ADVERT I WOULD FEEL I WAS STUCK ON A DATE WITH A PIG OR AN OWL HAVE YOU SEEN THOSE MATCHES YOU SENT ME, YOU ARE HAVING A LAUGH
Also, our goal is to find matches for
you that are compatible with your unique personality in deep and important ways as well as those who fit your Match Preferences too. Your compatible matches are sent out to you based on the 29
Dimensions ™ of Compatibility. What we ’ re looking for are matches that have answered the questionnaire in a similar manner as you. Additionally, you can access the compatibility section under the profile of your Compatible matches and see why we paired you.
We understand that you won ’ t feel a connection
with all of your matches. Although we put a lot of emphasis here in the early stages of being matched with someone, establishing chemistry only accounts for a portion of what makes a
relationship last and is only something you can determine once you get to know someone. We caution you from trying to make such an early assessment from just the match detail information. THIS IS RUBBISH, IF YOU HAD SOMEONE WHO IS COMPATIBLE, IE FITS MY CRITERIA , WHO I MIGHT BE ATTRACTED TO AND THEN ANSWERS THE QUESTIONS TO BE
COMPATABLE WHICH IS WHAT YOU ADVERTISE
With this being said, so that we can best assist you, please reply to this email with the reasons why you are not happy with your
matches. PLEASE SEE ABOVE AND IF YOU DO NOT REFUND ME I AM GOING TO PUBLISH YOUR RESPONSE ON ALL THE REVIEW SITES SO THEY ALL KNOW THAT FOR YOU TO FIND THEM A MATCH THEY HAVE TO CHANGE EVERYTHIGN THEY WANT IN A MATCH SO YOU CAN FIND SOMEONE HUNDRED OF MILES AWAY THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ATTRACTED TO SO THAT JUST BECAUSE THEY ANSWERED THE
QUESTIONS IN A SIMILAR WAY
Unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request for a refund, as you are outside the eligibility period as stated in our Terms and
Conditions. UNDER THE SALES OF GOODS AND SERVICES ACT YOU HAVE TO PROVIDE A SERVICE THAT IS FIT FOR PURPOSE NOT JUST TAKE PEOPLES MONEY AND DO NOTHING THEN SUGGEST THEY CHANGE THEIR ETHNIC AND RELIGIOUS PREFERENCES, ACCEPT OVERWEIGHT OR AGED MATCHES WHO LIVE HUNDREDS OF MILES AWAY AND CHANGE EVERYTHING ABOUT WHAT THEY WANT IN A MATCH SO THAT YOU
CAN FIND SOMEONE WHO HAS PAID YOUR FEES TO MEET SOMEONE WHICH YOUR EMAIL SEEMS TO SUGGEST SHOULD BE SOMEONE YOU CHOOSE RATHER THAN WHO I MIGHT BE ATTRACTED TO ETC

One Of The Worst Sites In Internet History
I joined eHarmony (the UK version) as part of a 3-month subscription in the anticipation that like its glossy adverts promised, I would meet some genuine people who were interested in forming lasting friendships and/or relationships, based on its famously touted 'scientific' compatibility approach. How wrong was I?!
Its drab design and restrictive matching method aside [one can't search for people – instead, eHarmony sends 'suitable' people to your inbox], there are a few key glaring problems with the service:
1. eHarmony claims to find the 'right' people for you based on your chosen criteria, yet should you be specific, suddenly there aren't any matches. I fail to believe there are absolutely NO matches for criteria that frankly, aren't like asking for a glittery unicorn with luminescent hair that vomits up bottomless money. It also seems to interchange 'Somewhat Important' and 'Not Important', so all and unsuitably sundry get 'matched' with you. I even had one person from Queensland, Australia in my 'What If?' section, not to mention theists and people years younger than me. That's how bad it is.
2. A vast majority of profiles are either dummy, inactive or on free subscription, so should you try making contact, you won't get a response. The very few active people on there are usually time-wasters. I only had three contacts: one never messaged unless I did (and didn't bother showing any interest for a prospective meet-up that *he* suggested), another claimed to be an enthusiastic 'conversationalist' but once outside the site, was little more than a one-trick, one-line serial Whatsapper who was evasive with personal information, not interested in finding out more about me and eschewed phone calls, while the last one appeared as some robot that sent an icebreaker question then immediately demanded I added him on my Whatsapp. Er... no, thanks.
3. For the amount of money you pay for subscription, the site is woefully lacking in features or any appeal thanks to its very rigid, staid style. It doesn't foster an environment that feels organic nor one where you sense you're actually interacting with people. Seriously, it's as if you're in a beta-testing environment for a prototype and encountering bots.
Overall, I'm heavily disillusioned with this site and have had to take my online curiosity elsewhere. I've heard about the success stories on eHarmony which, while I wouldn't totally rule out, make me question the actual percentage of them. Either way, I will never venture into eHarmony again. It's a ghost town.

Worst Dating Site Ever
A complete rip off and waste of money. When your 14 day cooling period is up you suddenly get no matches and the "what if" section is blank!! Considering I live in London the biggest city in the U.K. And they only send me 1 match if that a day how are you supposed to meet people!!! This is clearly not a dating site but a means to rip people off with there money.
This site is an embarrassment and should not be allowed to take people's money when they are clearly not offering you matches!!

Senior Dating?
I signed up my dad to eHarmony to see if this site works for seniors and apparently it doesn't (at least not for him due to lack of members from his town).
I spent some time on looking for a better alternative for him and I found one: PrimeTimeLove.com. He's chatting with few charming ladies already and looks quite happy :D
Judgemental, Out Of Touch . No Understanding
e harmony time you out if they do not like you (your profile) they are a bunch of bigoted judgemental idiots ... do not have any thing to do with these self appointed people!!!!

Absolute Rubbish
I have been on eharmony for about 6 or 7 months (paid for a year's subscription due to it being relatively cheap). I get about 2 profile views per month if I'm lucky, from men who don't meet my specification (age, location, etc.). The only contacts I have had have been from dating tricksters- had about 10 of those. The customer service is non-existant and appalling. This has to be the worst dating web-site on the net. I say this on the basis that I have dabbled with several other dating sites. On match, for instance, I was getting upwards of 30 profile views per day and had plenty of dates, some of them really good. Please do not waste your money on eharmony - e-bollocks more like.

E-harmony A Waste Of Time And Money
Wish I had read all the reviews before joining E-Harmony. This site is a waste of time and money. I though I was joining for a £98 special offer, turned out it was 3 instalments for 2 years. I did not realise until it was too late to cancel as they only give you 3 days. I have been on it 9 months and not 1 message or any ice breakers. They advertise that they have lots of male members but I cannot see this is true. When I clicked on to a few of them it turned out they were no longer members, so why are they still being shown? Am looking for a male and they sent me a female so obviously a man put on a photo of a woman......I thought they vetted the photos, clearly not, I complained but did not hear from them. I sent ice breakers to a few people but did not hear back perhaps I was not these peoples cup gf tea but not sure if my icebreakers actually went through, for all I know sending these ice breakers might not actually be sent even if they show they were. The site is also difficult to use. All they want is your cash and not interested in matching you up with someone. I have turned off the renewal function and would not recommend this site to anyone. I see there has been hundreds of complaints so we all can't be wrong. There is definately something odd about this company.

Only Sent One Match A Month!
This e Harmony membership was a rip-off, I do not recommend to anyone. They do not let you browse the members, and although they advertise this as what makes them better than the other dating sites, the truth is that, if you do not live in a big city, you're not getting any matches! They were sending me matches located thousands of miles away! When I changed the settings to only 500 miles distance, I stopped receiving matches. They would send me maybe one every month, and this was either someone without a photo, and that had not been active for over a month, or someone much older than me. Weeks would go by, and I would not have absolutely no activity whatsoever! I called them to cancel - I had paid for a yearly membership which was extremely expensive. But nothing was happening! When I called, they were very rude to me, horrible customer service. They said that they do not refund anyone. When I explained that I was not getting the service I paid for - potential matches! They told me that it was not their fault that nobody was interested in someone like me! wow. Extremely rude. And I answered, fair enough! you don't have anyone interested in me, I get that. But then give me back my money, if you cant provide the service to me! And they just insisted that their policy is NO REFUNDS for any reason.
Horrible company, and the matching does not exist! I was looking at their success videos and stories, and if you notice, they are ALL from 2004, 2005 and I saw a single one from 2006. Presently, they are not successful at all. They don't have enough members! You pay your membership and then nothing is going to happen! They might send you a match here and there to keep you interested, but it's going to be profiles with no pictures, or no activity in a long time (they are not looking anymore, they might even not be paying members anymore), or much older than what you are looking for, and the only ones that seem like a potential match will be located thousands of miles away! which is useless if you want to have someone in your area that you can see and spend time with!
I ended up calling my credit card and explaining to them that I did not receive the service I paid for, and my credit card reversed the charge and only that way I got my money back. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, because it should be illegal to have this business running just to extort money from people, and providing them with absolutely nothing. Do not use eHarmony.
A great review. I agree that once they might have been successful in terms of pairing people but in truth it's more likely that the success they go on about refers to the USA version. Clearly, I don't think this is being replicated at all in the UK.

Not Enough Suitable Matches
I joined the site after using Plenty of Fish and finding that was full of men just wanting a fling. Due to the advertising and the fact you pay, I was expecting serious daters looking for a relationship on EHarmony. As I live in Inverness in northern Scotland I said I would meet people up to 120 miles away which would cover Perth and Aberdeen and the places in between, but I was sent matches from the north of England and Northern Ireland. I was also age specific, up to 5 years younger or 5 years older but loads of the matches were 10 or more years older. As others say a lot of the matches have not used the site for over a month so are obviously not looking. Of the 50 or 60 matches I get per week fewer than 10% are in my 120 mile search area and 50% have no photo. This site may work for someone living in a large city like London but for anyone out in the sticks there are insufficient members to have a realistic chance of meeting Mr Right.
