Canon DM XM2

A Fantastic Camcorder sad no HD but still great

This is a Very good Camera for a old SD model.It has done almost everything that I wanted from it !It would be great if it filmed in 0 lux and had a larger LCD.I have only had this camera a short time and am using most ofit's functions from first time use as a beginner. The manual is a bitsteep at first but a bit of practice with the Camera things start work.Nice Manual size, with writing easy to read for older people, with lots of pictures locating parts and descriptions.Anyone happy with staying with a Standard Definition camera , this is a fantastic solution well worth the money if found second hand.

The Canon DM XM2 is one of the best camera I've ever seen in my life. This is entry level broadcast quality. Discovery Channel use this camera beacuse its high quality but small. I've only had this camera for only 5 months and I have been well impressed! This camera outbeats all cameras up to the £2,000 value.

Everything on the Canon DM XM2 digital camcorder is great and very easy to use. The XM2 is very forgiving and quite rugged as I found out on a trip to Albania & Macedonia! I have found the audio adapter very useful but do buy some good mics as with all camcorders the built-in mic gives some motor noise. I use Beyer shotgun mics and Sennheiser hand held and clip on mics. (I spent about another £1,000 on mics for this camera) Much of what I film is shown on dataprojection systems in large lecture theaters so good sound is very important and the XM2 delivers very good sound and vision.
