Montego Bay, The Ritz-Carlton, Rose Hall

The Ritz-Carlton, Montego Bay, is supposed to be a "high class" hotel but they way they treated me was low class all the way. I had my cell phone stolen out of my room from the Ritz in Jamaica and the thief racked up a $4,000 bill. Corporate office at the Ritz keeps telling me they will do right by me but it's been almost two months and I have to stalk them down with e-mails. Its not nice to have your belongings stolen out of your room and it is worse when the Hotel appears not care about the incident.

I thought many of the staff members at the The Ritz-Carlton, Rose Hall, had poor attitudes and were extremely complacent about serving us. Not only was the service bad in my view, I thought the food was mediocre at best and I found the prices were outrageous. On top of all of this, we came back to erroneous charges of several hundred dollars on our credit card. So if you decide to take a chance and stay at the Ritz, I'd suggest cash transactions only.

Montego Bay, The Ritz-Carlton, Rose Hall - The rooms are absolutely wonderul! The beds are soft and fluffy and the bathrooms are exquisite with separate bath and shower. The overall resort is not only beautiful but absolutely spotless. Service is prompt, professional and charming. The food is delicious! (All inclusive is the way to go here!!) The restaurants are great...loved the one on the property of Rose Hall for that extra special touch. The beach is great and you don't even have to move from your chair to get service.

My family and I have visited the Ritz on MB twice and will probably be heading back. We've traveled to various islands but nothing to date has compared with the overall Ritz experience in Jamaica. Wish they'd build one in Negril!
