I Purchased The Viewsonic A70 A While Back For An
I purchased the Viewsonic A70 a while back for an outrageous price of $40.00. Since that time when I bought this display used, I have put it through the test playing thousands of hours of 3-d gaming while changing the refresh rates from high and low sometimes 50 times a day!!! It seemed like this only made the display stronger.
I think this is an excellent all-around display and I would buy another!!
I FOUND A GREAT 22 INCH MONITOR DUMPSTER DIVING. PRICE = 0.50$ FOR GAS.
Well the date is June 11, 2005 and I'm proud to say this monitor has no sign of wearing out and dying.
Whats really amazing is that this CRT has been used for fast 3-D games at least 20 hours a week like clockwork.
There are still companies out there making oustanding products.

The Image Quality And Sharpness Was Very Good On T
The image quality and sharpness was very good on this Viewsonic A70 monitor, but had some multiple distortions on the screen that had no way of adjusting them. Every powerup gave a slightly different distortion, and I was tired of continually adjusting it. Viewsonic claimed I had problems with my settings and video card, but the problems existed at all resolutions and on other computers. I am a viewsonic fan, but they seem to have dropped the ball with this monitor.

It's A Nice Monitor, It Was The Best I Found For T
It's a nice monitor, it was the best I found for the price. It was this or the more expensive Hitachi which was very much comparable, not a whole lot better, you really had to look closely to notice any difference in picture quality. Seems to be pretty reliable like I could have it on high resolution indefinately without worrying about the high voltage circuit going out on me. So far it seems like a very good choice for the money.
A Viewsonic is a 'name brand' part. As I understand they are more popular in Europe than in the US. In Australia for years, they have been known as the sony you can afford. These days there is some pretty stiff competition, but I wouldn't rule them out on this basis.
