Great Price Of Equipment
I brought one of these when they first came out and I was at my slimmest. It tones parts of your body that you dont expect. The over hang on my tummy started to disappear.
You can spend 10 minutes a day to a hour each day or a few times a week and you will see results.
The good points about this peice of equipment is you can shove it under the bed.
The bad points are the squeak. But it bit of oil or wd40 will sort this.
I have brought a few of these over the years one lasted a long time another lasted months. Its luck of the draw.

Great Machines, Many Fakes On The Market
I bought my first LTT about ten years ago, bad experience like many bought mine off the internet cheaper than through main supplier, it was noisy dropped grease and the resistance mechanism disintegrated by day two, I was convinced it was a fake as even the LTT sticker was hanging off and from what I remember other details weren't right, I struggled to get my money back but bought a Reebok mini stepper with cords it was a much simpler mechanism basically an adjustable brake band, which does wear and drops dust but the principle proved a great exercise machine once motivated I found it easy to have a good workout and tone up. Today, I visited my local recycling centre and found they had 2 LTT's and a Reebok mini stepper I paid just £2 for a proper LateralThigh Trainer that has had little use I can see straight away that my first one was just a cheap fake, as this is quiet smooth and seems really well made, my guess is that all the reports here of major quality issues were those fake items which flooded into the U.K. As it seems some were fine yet many fell apart within days of purchase, I reckon older ones finding their way into recycling centres that work just like the ones the girl used to advertise are quality original Lateral Thigh Trainers.

Good Workout
I love to use this while blasting fast club tunes, if you get going you can get a good sweat on and it will make your body shape up. Yes the thing tends to squeek,it has been oiled and the computer is rubbish. I need a new one as the resistance control is broken so its feels a bit to easy for me. So im looking for a new one, this is the best gadget ive tried that has actually worked.

Possibly Good System But Poor Quality, Not Reliable
We brought this unit around 3 years ago, was not cheap. Due to circumstances at the time it did not get used so much. Started to use it again around 2 months ago as I gave up smoking, so wanted something to help combat the weight gain. Only started slowly to build up, so around 10 minutes/day. I felt and could see the difference but then bang! ....What looks like a rotating collar which is attached to the foot rests has shattered leaving a mass of broken alloy material bits and several large grease deposits on the carpet. So now, we have a ruined carpet and LTT . Also after looking for quite awhile, no chance of getting any spare parts. I feel very disappointed and ripped off.
Insult to injury, I now see they are around a third of the cost we paid, want some advice ......leave it alone and look for something built stronger that will take the use as intended.

I Have Had A Stepper For About A Year. I Could Tho
I have had a stepper for about a year. I could thoroughly recommend it because it is such an easy piece of workout machine with easy manouveres to do, with such great benefits of shaping the body.
I do around 10-20 minutes a day, every morning seven days a week. I use my bike for 20 minutes a day in the evening too. If you use the stepper with any other exercise machines, you will see the weight fly off.
Stick to it, and you will see results in the first week :)
Try and aim for atleast 10 minutes (1000 steps) in the morning and 20 minutes of your pref exercise machine at night.

I've Been Using A Ltt For Several Years Now And Ge
I've been using a LTT for several years now and get a really good home work out from it. But please, like anything, read the instructions before you use it - it's all very well throwing yourself enthusiatically at your new piece of work out machinery but you're just going to end up doing yourself an injury which could easily be avoided. Warm up first (not just saying it, it's really important that you warm up and stretch out before you use your LTT or you could do some real damage to yourself). Use in a suitable location with a balance aid to start off with and at a low-medium setting. Build up your workouts slowly, vary them, and don't use those power cords until you've got your balance. Generally, I do 1/2hr every other day on mine and it just helps keep areas tonned. Maintenance-wise, I've replaced the LTT computer once and had to clean/tighen the link chain underneath. My eldest son (16yrs) is now using it too to help improve him cc times.

I Did Used To Like The Latteral Thigh Trainer..if
I did used to like the Latteral thigh trainer..If you use everyday for 20 mins and build up a sweat..You can loose weight...
The problem is i have suspected for a while that the way in which your knee twists outwards everytime you step is not at all natural. It is not the same as skiing.rollerbooting etc as it twists your leg the other way.forcing more of the lower part of your leg to turn from the knee joint which isnt good.
Low and behold i have recently began using my machiene again for a bit of weight loss after having it a while and after just 2 weeks use 10 mins per day I have Knee pain.It has been 3 days now and i feel like ive been kicked in the knee. ( I had no privious knee problems at all) I also know that fixing any knee problem is almost impossible for doctors and can take years with no end result. So really ill have to throw this away and get a regular "up and Down stepper" I would be suprised if others dont suffer with the same problem now or in the future. Be careful.
How odd you suffered this problem because I have a very bad knee problem (since aged 17 when I dislocated it playing netball at school) and yet I have had a Lateral Thigh Trainer since the day they came out and use it all the time and it actually IMPROVES my knee condition because it builds the muscles around the ligaments and joint.

I've Recently Brought A Lateral Thigh Trainer, I T
I've recently brought a lateral thigh trainer, I try to do 20mins 4 times a week but my weight is still the same any suggestions????
Hi, thought i may aswell reply for people like me (still using this site) You are building muscle. Once you have what your body thinks the correct muscle for what you are doing-excersize wise- your fat will shed in weeks.
Q&A
After a few minutes the trainer develops a sticking sensation creating a jerking not smooth stepping motion. How domI fix this? It seems this happens after getting warm.
I had total knee replacement, any one think this is a good machine for people that had knee surgery? Do it really tone your thighs?
I have the Lateral Thigh Trainer Powerhouse Workout Video. It is in VHS. My new TV will not hook up to my old VCR. How can I get the Video in a CD? Or, can I have it transferred to CD as it is copyrighted.
I already have a Lateral Thigh Trainer, which i used to LOVE using. However, i had a total hip replacement op 3 months ago now, & really need to know if it's safe to start using my machine again? I'm wondering if the side/twisting movement of the machine is ok for a hip replacement? Doctors/consultant probably won't even know what a Lateral Thigh Trainer IS! So pointless asking!! Any physiotherapists/specialists out there that can confirm please?
