Horrible
I ordered my glasses on February 7th and was promised, satisfaction guaranteed, delivery in 7-10 days. Upon payment, I received a confirmation email and on February 13th, a notice that the glasses had been shipped.
That was not true, they did not ship on the 13th. When I contacted your company, I was told to wait until the 25th, as that would be the tenth business day.
I contacted your company again, when the shipping information remained unchanged and was told... well, you can read the transcripts, they are attached.
As the contact person changes with each message, the impersonal approach is the type of service you provide.
Now, February 26th, when I should be wearing my new glasses, I am still dealing with glasses that never shipped.
I have attached the "new estimated delivery date" of March 1st.
March 1st, glasses are not here. Shipping info shows Raleigh NC and I don't live in NC !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bitter Regret
I was badly misled into thinking I'd have great results but was undercorrected, left with poor night vision, halos, starbursts, glare, floaters, dry eye etc. They couldn't give me further treatment as my corneas were too thin. My mistake too, but when I think about their actions, I think of what a terrible thing it was to do to a young person.

Avoid This Lot If You Do Not Want Your Life Ruined
Stay well clear of Optimax. They lie and mislead to get your money and deliberately withhold vital information. From the moment I had the surgery years ago, I have been in pain and with poor sight. On one of my visits to them afterwards, it was suggested that it was a coincidence. I was then asked to leave. Every moment of my life is now misery and I feel I have nothing to live for. I cannot do any of the things I used to enjoy, find it hard to go out and rarely see friends or family. With any luck I might get knocked down by a bus. This is not an exaggeration. Avoid this company. Do not go through their door. They are a danger to the public.

Bad Refund Policy Attitude.
I booked an appointment for a consultation in good faith and paid a deposit of £30 that I was assured i would get refunded if I could not make the appointment or refunded on the day of the appointment. I called today to cancel my appointment as since making the appointment I had spoken with 2 people who have had bead experiences with the company. I was told I could not have my money back as I hadn't allowed 5 working days to cancel, as yesterday was a Bank Holiday they made no allowance for this. After the reviews I have had from people this came as know surprise. There is absolutely no reason for then to not give me my deposit back it takes 2 minutes on a PDQ machine. Lousy company with Lousy attitudes. Thank god I'm not trusting them with my eyesight!!!!
Their "£1000" Discount Was Meaningless
I received an email from Optimax offering me a £1000 discount off eye treatment, so I phoned up to arrange my free consultation, and was charged a £10 fee.
I spent 2 hours in their Leeds centre being assessed, and at the end was told that they could treat me with lens replacement costing £5995. When I queried the £1000 discount offer, I was told that it didn't apply to lens replacement.
Needless to say, I refused to sign up.
I was fooled, but I won't get fooled again.

Prior To My Consultation I Was Advised I Would Be
Prior to my consultation I was advised I would be given my results. Following my consultation the receptionist advised that these would be posted to me within the next 5-7 days. These were not received. On chasing them I was then advised that I would need to out this request in writing. After doing this I was then advised that I would need to pay a £10 administration fee. I am now being informed that this fee is £50!! My results have therefore gone from being freely disclosed to £50. BEWARE!!!!
My Life Has Been Ruined By Optimax
I had LASIK surgery at Optimax and my life has changed dramatically. I am in constant pain and have poor vision. I can do none of the things I used to enjoy. I am in constant misery.
This is an incredibly risky procedure. However, Optimax keep this from you.
If anyone is thinking of visiting Optimax, just remember to not believe anything they tell you. Frankly, it would seem they just make it up as they go along to get your money.
Apparently around 30% have some kind of problems afterwards. And it might be a lot higher. They seem to keep quite about that.
I would give no stars in this review but that doesn't seem to be an option so I will reluctantly give them a star but they certainly don't deserve it. In fact they should get negative stars. I cannot stress how dangerous it is stepping through their door.
Which clinic was this
This has happened to so many people. You cannot trust Optimax. Stay well clear.
Charge For Change Of Appointment
Generally I am very happy with the results after the laser surgery and the treatment I have had from the staff. However, I find very disappointing that they charged me £15 for cancelling one of my aftercare appointments. I have been ill and I could not make it to the appointment, I called before the appointment to let them know that I would not make it and they said that I would have to pay... What should I have done? Get out of my bed and drive 40 miles to the appointment with a fever of 39 C?
I am very disappointed and let down as this shows that money is what they focus on after all. I have never missed any appointment, they should consider to allow clients to cancel appointment without charge in case of illness. This situation has unfortunately changed my experience with Optimax Birmingham. I was a very happy client, however this little silly thing has really upset me.

Eyesight Reborn
Despite slight trepidation, having lens replacement surgery has transformed my life. The process was quick, painless and recovery amazingly fast. The staff in the clinics were very professional and listened to my concerns and offered reassuring words of confident comfort throughout.
I would recommend this to those who like me wore glasses all the time as it really will feel like you've broken free.
I am having the same treatment on Friday and am nervous about the recovery and when I will be able to drive and return to work.
could you please give me advise on your experience?
thanks

Ruined My Eyesight, Read The Small Print Before You Sign
Had lasik eye surgery at newcastle, it's the worst experience of my life. My eyes still hurting, blurry and cloudy vision after 9 years of having the surgery done. I was back to wearing glasses after only 4 years. Customer services, what is that?? they don't want to know. They only ever put good reviews on there own website. If you don't mind wasting your money or risking permanent eyesight damage to your eyes then go ahead, me I wouldn't recommend to anyone, ever. Please read the small print before you you sign to have it done as there is no liability or guarantees from optimax if they cause permenent damage or make you blind, it's at your own risk. And for any optimax privacy policy they don't have any, or data protection. My personal details with my own phone number can be found on there website and they won't remove it after 5 years of requests, they still haven't removed it. shocking, avoid
