Jobs Are Irrelevant

Since the site was redesigned a few months ago it as become irrelevant to me. Most of the job alerts are outside my designated area some as far away as Scotland. The company said maybe there are no matching jobs in your area, so instead it decides to send me a load of rubbish. There are plenty jobs available on Indeed or CV Library within the same area, so perhaps the sales team is not doing as well as it should be doing. A previous review I left on another site it arranged to have taken down as it didn't like what I had said. Recently deleted my account as it was pretty much a white elephant!

ducked

Not one job is seemingly real. Never heard anything back in regard to any application I have made through the site, ever! It seems to me, the site is one to collect personal information from anyone foolish enough to sign-up. Avoid at all costs, signing up will return nothing of value to you but an inbox full of spam.

Awful. Contact The Companies Directly.

These sites do nothing but advertise vacancies. All I've ever had in response to applications is silence and Indian companies trying to take my C.V. to sell it on. If you apply via these sites, your application will be subjected to automated scoring, and left in a pile or put in the bin, if you're lucky. Trying to find work via these sites it's demeaning, destructive and pointless.

Don't Use - My Advice

My advice - do not use the caterer or Total Jobs. And do not listen to the sales guys when they cold call you. I was oversold to and the campaign under-delivered. The staff who applied were on the whole not catering related, unskilled in our industry and few and far between. I had advised the number of hires I needed to make in the first calls and I was told that going with the caterer was by far the best way to do this. We complained several times about the poor performance but we were locked into a contract! No flexibility on how we used the £420 we paid and all had to be used within a short time frame. The only solution they could offer was to move the job advert area to London which is daft since we're based near Brighton. When I came to dispute the invoice at the end, I wasn't given a chance to reply. I advised credit control that I was on paternity (my son had been born a couple of days before) and could they please hang on for me to gather the information. In the meantime could they please send the recordings of the original calls. The reply came straight in - we are now transferring this to the debt collection. This is no good - use a different service.

Confidence Tricksters

Interesting that other reviews refer to fake jobs. From an employer perspective they have a very opaque sytem of charges and offer no method of checking you had what you paid for. Also take care not to pay for any job listings " in bulk and front" because you loose them at the end of the period, unless you pay again. Soind bizzare ? Yes i thought so too. But it appears to be true.

Utter Rubbish, In Fact Total Rubbish

The change engine simply does not work - I cannot update my details, my CV or anything. I've tried 3 browsers over 2 PC's over many weeks.

Every time it makes me complete reams of update, only to send a fail message.

I am getting targeted adds for a completely different part of the country and cannot change it.

Pointless

Searched most recent jobs and seen a job had just been put up however when I read the job description the vacancy had ended 2 months ago. They constantly put up jobs that were originally put up months ago that you have no chance in getting. Useless.

Waste Of Time.

I will begin by saying that I moments ago did a simple search for bar work in the Manchester area. The first job that came up was for a mechanical engineer in Southampton. This website is a complete and utter joke. I signed up for emails to get bombarded with the most irrelevant job titles I had ever seen. After having my junk folder filled with useless information from this website on a daily basis, I decided enough was enough, but today has pushed me over the edge. My advice is to stay away, this website was clearly designed without a plan of action. I have never met a single person who has actually found a job using this website. Stay away.

Crap...and Their Other Websites

Appalling job board...lists fake jobs , and their sister sites are just as bad

I looked on salestarget their other site and saw loads of fake sales jobs from companies with the usual no experience , which means knocking on doors for commission only

As Bad As They Get

Not only is it a nightmare to register - and then re-login when you forget your ridiculously complicated password you forgot to write down - but the ads are so vague and "general" as to be useless. Who are you applying, where EXACTLY are they - I've no car, so exact location is important - "near Cambridge" or something is not enough detail.

Not only this but a number of agencies post false ads - ie only to attract new candidates, and are not real jobs at all. Multiple results on searching for a job can be either a) duplicates of one job or b) different agencies actually advertising the same position.

In the last 4 years, I've been offered ZERO jobs through applications on totaljobs, and if my memory serves correct, not even ONE interview...
