Northern Rock Mini Cash ISA

tranfered my existing isa to northern rock 5 year fixed rate isa in late 2008 .the interest rate was very good but one month later the isa was withdrawn. since then i have been unable to add funds to my so called isa. this product should not have been advertised as an isa. if you cannot put additional funds into it , it becomes a savings bond. i feel this high rate was offered to bring badly needed cash from other banks and building societies to the by then government owned bank. why is it called an isa if i cant add my annual cash limit

So far ok apart from not being able to use up my tax free amounts for this year! No sooner had I received a letter advising me that the transfer went through and confirming my account number it was withdrawn. I will now lose my tax free amount that I was going to put in there for this year plus next years ( £7,200). Bad timing I guess but annoying.
