These Are Great Shoes And I Have Been Buying Them

These are great shoes and I have been buying them since they came out years ago. Not much good for skating in though. They get trashed very quickly.

Fantastic comfortable and eaconomical shoe for chillin or going to work, whatever just not skating.

I Like The Look, The Board Feel Sorta, And I Think

I like the look, the board feel sorta, and I think they look pretty cool on girls.. LOL. I liked the look of the show, and I like the colors they come in. I also have a pair of sheckler etnie, which i prefer more, but only comfort-wise. I like the overall look, and they have the same board feel as the DCSHOECOUSA court graffiks. I don;t like how they wear out easily. I had mine for a week and a half or two weeks, and already wore down to the mesh on my ollie foot's toe. I really like the Etnies Callicut skate shoes

The Etnies Callicut Maybe A Nice Looking, But It I

The Etnies Callicut maybe a nice looking, but it isn't the best skate shoe.

I'll start with the good points of the shoe. First, it looks good. It's simple and clean, and isn't bulky like some other shoes. Next, it's comfortable, the insoles are good at shaping to your foot, and are soft. Finally, it's fairly cheap, around $55, a good price for anyone who needs a shoe in a bind. But there are some drawbacks. First, it tears easy, especially in the toe. The toe is a shell toe, it has only one layer. Normally this kind of toe is kind of thick, and boxed for rigidness, making it stronger, but this shell toe is thin and isn't boxed, so it can tear easy. Second, the grip is really grip, which is good and bad, good because it's grippy, bad because the grippiness makes it wear down faster. In about a month of skating, the grip was bald.

Third and final, it doesn't absorb shock well. The insoles, being thin, don't do much to protect your feet, and the sole, while having EVA, doesn't help out as much as it should. All in all, I don't recommend this shoe for skaters unless you desperately need a skate shoe. Just use this one for casual purposes.

Etnies Callicut - These Are The Worst Shoes Etnies

Etnies Callicut - These are the worst shoes etnies ever put out in my opinion, unstylish and uncreative are 2 words to describe this shoe.

Hell an adidas superstar with a rubber toe would live longer than this rubbish and yes, a lot of posers and wannabes wear this rubbish, so avoid it at all costs.

I disagree with this review because...It's pretty obvious that any shoe of this style is not going to be much good for skating given the lack of ollie and lace protection. You would have to be real stupid to think these shoes would stand up to the rigors of skating. Etnies have other shoes much better suited to skating. These shoes however are fantastic and cheep for just chillin.

The Etnies Callicut Are Fashionable But They Just

The Etnies Callicut are fashionable but they just do not do for skateboarding unless you have enough money to get a new pair every couple of days! Worth the money if you don't skate!

The Etnies Callicut Skate Shoes Look Cool When You

The Etnies Callicut skate shoes look cool when you first buy them, but it's when you start to skate in them that they get trashed, so I don't think this is a good skate shoe. It may be a good poser shoe, but definitely not a good skate shoe.

The Etnies Callicut Were My First Skate Shoes I Bo

The Etnies Callicut were my first skate shoes I bought and I bought them before I knew very many other kinds of shoes, these were the only ones I recognized because everyone has them, they are cheap but thats the only good thing about them. The toecap is way too thin and I wore a hole right to my sock in 2 months because it only has one layer of fabric!!! There is no lace protection so I went through many pairs of laces. These shoes look cool when you buy them but after about a week or two you start to think their ugly, especially with the suede ones because they wear down quickly, I would not recomend these shoes to anyone unless you are a poser who only wants skateboarding shoes just so you can think your cool. I would suggest goin out and buying a pair of good quality shoes like Emerica's or Fallen's.

I Had Mine For About 3/4 Of A Month And I Could St

I had mine for about 3/4 of a month and I could stick my finger right through to the inside of the shoe. The laces break really easily too, but it's the same with other shoes.

The Etnies Callicutt Was My First Skate Shoe - Gra

The Etnies Callicutt was my first skate shoe - granted I bought the girls' model in suede, which may account for their general suckiness; but being conned into this purchase was unforgiveable.

I could barely ollie, but I ripped off the entire side of the shoe in less than two months. The soles wear down incredibly quickly. There's no lace protection so I was cycling through new laces every couple of weeks. In short the durability could use some work - okay, a lot of work. They weren't even that comfortable.

On the plus side they looked great when they were new and are simple and light. Synthetic leather I am sure holds up better, but I imagine I'd have the same problem with the soles!
