I Have Owned A Nokia 7610 For Over A Year Now And

I have owned a Nokia 7610 for over a year now and recently upgraded to a N70.

I'm now selling my N70 andgoing back to the 7610, that's how good a phone it is.

The 1 megapixel camera is sufficient and can produce some amazing results in good conditions.

The menus are all easy to use and if you install a 512 memory card (£30 off ebay) you can really utilise the phone to its full potential.

It may have a lower resolution camera compare to most nowadays, but it really is a great phone.

First Off, Let Me Just Say That I Don't Use Flip P

First off, let me just say that I don't use flip phones. I find it tedious to flip those things open and closed all the time, squeaky and loose hinges, and just an all-around annoying ritual. With that said, I chose the Nokia 7610 and haven't had any regrets since.

The media functions are awesome; pictures, music, even record your own MOVIES effortlessly and clearly. The mega pixel camera is second to none in my opinion. The clarity of the music and voices are crisp, I was most impressed by that. I also love the sleek and unique look of the phone, the colors and number key placements are attractive and striking.

The only thing that bothers me are the number keys, the 3 and the corner numbers are a bit small which makes it tedious for other people to dial my phone (although I personally don't have a problem). It could be thinner, but it's not heavy at all and easily and unnoticably slips in and out of the pocket.

Other than that, I was very impressed with this compact and aesthetically pleasing piece of equipment. I prefer non-flip phones over flip phones ANY DAY, and Nokia has come through for me!

I've Had The Nokia 7610 For Almost A Year Now And

I've had the Nokia 7610 for almost a year now and overall I've been prety pleased. The symbian operating system is easy to use and great for downloading applications onto. The email is fast and effective so you can really keep in touch. However this is a much more business oriantated phone. The picture quality is only just better than your standard vga and the movie is so poor it's laughable. However the pictures do come out well on a computer, if you can get them there. The 7610 does come with a cable for transfer but it is so confusing! If you were impressed by the idea of an mp3 player you will be very very annoyed, it can store about 8 and only plays them in mono sound. Bit of a let down there. However the memory for almost every other purpose is great! over 1,000 pictures can be stored! An a fair few videos to! In all a pretty good phone if your a high powered business person looking for a way to conduct high level talks with someone half the way across the globe, however hopeless if you're a teenager looking for a good picture phone.

This review is completley nonsense i have the nokia 7610 which i got as soon as it came out. this phone is easily the most sleek and sheek of design, the quality of this phone is unbelievable, the downside the mp3 player sound is a little poor, but if you get a larger memory card you can easily store a fair amount of mp3's. this nokia would please anyone. i would rate this phone to anyone.

I Have Owned A Nokia 7610 For About 7 Months Now.

I have owned a Nokia 7610 for about 7 months now. When I opened the box, I was very impressed with what's included like a USB cable, the CD rom for the software of the phone, however there wasn't a hands free like with most Nokias you get. At first I was irritated by the keypad layout as it is not at all good if you text a lot, and when you go into something for example messages to read a message, you have to exit every page individually, as with most phones you can push the red button to end a call to exit everything but with the 7610 it means you cannot access the rest of your menu, making it slow to operate. The menu and pictures also take a lot of time to load, and it does not operate like your classic Nokia. The reception I found quite good though, as well as it having the function to put a memory card in. I found the memory brilliant at first, until it started to get full and you don't realise how quickly it does. I would recommend this phone to someone who wanted a technical phone, but if you want a simple, easy to use phone I would not recommend it.

The Nokia 7610 Is A Great Phone To Be Used For Man

The Nokia 7610 is a great phone to be used for many purposes. Those who want almost everything from a handset, would be satisfied by just seeing this mobile phone. It is the first Nokia smartphone with a mega-pixel camera and also a newer version of Symbian 7.0 operating system.

At the same time, you would be able to upload several applications to your phone and use them all the time. There are enormous and various softwares for all your needs. For instance, softwares are available to see Word, Excel & Powerpoint, PDF, Flash & HTML files on your phone's screen. Or, you can easliy install softwares for editing your photos or automatic locking the keypad and so on.

Besides, you can upload Java games into your phone simultanously and play with them. A 5-way big joystick is too comfortable to play games with.

The camera is able to take pictures in 1152x864 pixels. The quality is acceptable for a phone. It mustn't be compared with a digital camera. Overall, it's a mobile phone and the main reason for equipping phones with camera is for sending them via MMS. The quality of the video is terrible. It's more like a toy, but the videos are not that bad on the phone's screen.

The TFT screen of the phone is a 65K display and is so vivid and bright. The information is readable in front of direct sun. The backlighting is so good and all in all, it's a superb display for a mobile phone.

The most strange thing about this phone is the keypad. Many people are satisfied when looking at the keypad. It has a round shape and the keys have a small rotate to the top-right. It's very good for left-handed people, but not bad for right-handed people. Totally, the keypad is not as good as the 6600's, but the joystick is bigger and much better, also the access to green and red keys (keys for starting and ending the calls) and also the Menu & Clear keys is better than 6600.

The phone's battery life is not so good. It can stay up to 3 days with minimal use and if you use the phone too much, specially by using Bluetooth, the battery will be empty by one day. It's typical for smartphones due to their large screen and complex processing schedules. Most of the time, it needs to be recharged after two ordinary days.

The bluetooth works well and it is compatible with most of the devices using bluetooth. I send some applications and files from my laptop to 7610 with Bluetooth and the speed was terrific. No error was found.

About the ring signals and sound quality, it's better to say that the quality of the ringing tones is not that good. It's not as strong as Korean phones, but the ring signals are elegant and beautiful. Also, you can upload an MP3 file to your phone and use it as a ring or message signal, but the quality is not as same as the MP3 file, because the phone's speaker plays the MP3 files in mono type. That's one of the bad points of this phone. The phone is equipped with an MP3 player, but the output is not stereo. It's a funny thing. The vibrating alert is medium, so sometimes it's possible to miss calls in streets, but otherwise the phone had a good job.

The aerial of the phone works well. Also with an additional application, you can use the phone as a radio. The quality of the incoming and outgoing sound is good and well-heard. The speakerphone is good to be used in a room, but not in a noisy place. It works similar to ordinary Nokia phones.

Finally, it's a good choice for people who would like to have a fashion smartphone, but for those who currently have other smartphones like 6600, it's not necessary to upgraded their phone. Also, people who want to use it just for mobile communication and also taking some photos or gaming, Nokia 6230 is a better choice. It's smaller, lighter, has more battery ?life and also the ability to play stereo MP3 files, but the camera's quality is worse. Nokia did a great job on 7610. It'll satisfy it's owners.

What A Great Phone! I Had A Nokia 3650 For 20 Mont

What a great phone! I had a Nokia 3650 for 20 months. When it had finally had it I replaced it with an awful Siemens SL65. I returned the Simens and got this 7610.

The menu system is exactly the same as the 3650 so there was nothing new for me to learn there. The screen, camera, infact everything is fantastic. Everything is improved over the 3650 and its smaller and great looking to boot.

The USB cable is fantastic as is the PC Suite (the new PC Suite on the Nokia site is more stable). The only ommision from the suite is the ability to convert your video's to avi to email someone forcing me to 'aquire' some other software.

The camera's night mode could be better. It seems to take while to process a picture and can result in blurred images if your subject moves too early.

All in all, it's a stunner.

Nokia 7610 - I Had An O2 X3 When I Never Really Ne

Nokia 7610 - I had an O2 X3 when I never really new about phones, it was okay but didn't have Bluetooth. I got quite a bit of stick for having a phone made by a network "O2." I sold that and waited 4 months for the 6260 but finally when it came it was a let down. So I waited and reviewed phones time and time again. Then finally I got a magnificent deal. £180.00 for a Nokia 7610 brand new boxed and sealed. I bought it and now am the man and I'm not receiving any stick at all and on top of that, it's an amazing handset! Totally recommended.

First Of All The Nokia 7610 Is An Excellent Phone.

First of all the Nokia 7610 IS an excellent phone.

It is tempting to compare the useability with a PC or a PDA, but this is not really fair.

This phone uses the latest generation of symbian operating system and does so to the full. There may be the odd crash or inconsistency in accessibility or functionality, but it does a good job of most things. Remember how long it has taken Microsoft to get Windows to the level it is now with XP? This is a phone and therefore has no mouse and therefore no 'arrow' cursor. It can't be an easy task to replicate the kind of useability you get with a PC, but it does a damn good job in my book!

Bluetooth connects fast and is totally reliable.

It loads Apps very quickly compared to its rivals.

Applications like the Kodak/Life Blog are inspired.

The PC connectivity via the Nokia PC suite is extremely versatile and fast.

Phone calls, clarity and in-call functions are all top class - like I said; a great phone!

Bad points are that the light keeps going out and cannot be set to extended timeout periods. However, this is easily fixed via an application download. That's the beauty of this phone - if you want it, you can sort it. There are more applications available all the time!

Niggles like not being able to access wallpaper files not initially saved to a folder are a pain, but it's not really a problem. How many phones out there have had you nearly in tears with their totally closed systems?!

The only other dodgy thing is the video function on night vision - basically a waste of time. Yes the screen gets brighter but the frame rate is worse than a Harold Lloyd film. In normal mode though it is credible and good fun. The camera quality on screen is good and printed on photo paper is perfectly acceptable for a home album.

All in all it is a fine piece of kit. No worries with wishing I had bought a different one. Lots more to get to grips with that I have not tried yet. As a phone it is typical Nokia quality and the texting/messaging side of things is improved even more over older models. It always pays to remember that with Nokias!

I Have Access To A Couple Of Phones At Present (ch

I have access to a couple of phones at present (changing contracts). The 7610 has by far the best screen resolution out of the following phones :- Sharp GX10, Samsung E800, Nokia 7250, Nokia 3220. Admittedly the GX10 & 7250 are older phones, but are still available to buy.

The keypad layout is great for texting.

Photo quality is good (for a mobile phone ! - why do people try to compare them to digital cameras ??)

Video quality - poor. ( I think video on all phones at present is just a gimmick).

Inclusion of a mm card, cable and software is very good. (No longer need to pay rip-off prices for ringtones or pictures - just copy from the pc.) The phone will accept MP3 or Midi files for music and the supplied software will resample jpgs suitable for displaying on the phone.

Call clarity is very good, battery life seems good. I received the phone on Thursday and it's still going strong the following Monday (Mainly on standby).

It Just Happened That My Old Samsung V200 Was On I

It just happened that my old Samsung v200 was on its way out, and so I popped along to my local phone shop to sort out a contract phone - this is the one I chose - and I can't fault it at all. The amount of features the phone has is incredible. After four days I was still diving into the menus to see what I could find!

The camera is excellent quality, and crysal clear as is the video camera function. The ability to use MP3 as ringtones is a nice touch.

Only downsides are poor built in ringtones and no games. That's all I could find wrong!

Higly recomended.
