Worth Loving Gems
I really enjoyed them for years, untill 2 years ago the left side did not work anymore. I probably played to much on the buttons i.e.trebble/bass & the extra speakers button, on the HK 3270 RDS reciever. Then I did put them on a Rotel BX 820 amp.(straight connection & no extra buttons to play on, `great amp`.) & they did work again for some months, so I tried them again on the HK RECIEVER & they also worked there again.
Now after a week of not beeing able to keep my hands away from the buttons... the left side does not work anymore again.
It is hard for me to find the real problem & I don`t know what further, but I love these speakers & do not want to loose them, so i`ll try the Rotel again in the coming days & hope that they do work again.
If I do fail I really will have to look for another pair that will match the HK-reciever, the Rotel-amp. & now another has come along Marants PM 4001 which I allready have for a year & have not tried out as I was busy elsewhere.
I have a feeling that the Marants will do good with these lovely speakers, so i do hope they work again.

These Mission 700 Speakers Are Truly A Bargain At
These Mission 700 speakers are truly a bargain at the original retail price, and with proper placement and set up they give much more than a hint of high end sound. The mid range is glorious and soundstage is appears to have project well above the speaker. I am convinced both the inverted placement of the tweeter and it being a soft dome type adds to the lush and smooth presentation that some might confuse for laid back or dull. Having spent a lot of time listening to metal dome tweeters which have become the "norm" over the past several years it's a relief to listen to movie and television audio without the high frequency tizziness...........place them well away from walls on 24 inch stands with at least 50 clean watts and unless you need way deep bass or want your system to scream at you...these are true high fidelity speakers...

Mission 700 Are Very Good Speakers, I Have Them In
Mission 700 are very good speakers, i have them in light wood and that looks very neat with the black front and white bass driver. It has a big tuneful bass. Treble is clear and has detail. Midrange is smooth and has detail " but not as much as some, lets say kef Q15" but then the 700 do not sound short of detail that much it will make you like more. I like the front firing ports as can be put right up to the wall as long as you have a amp you can turn the bass down on.I have had tannoy M1, kef cresta 1, and the mission 700 i own now and my kef Q15 in the bedroom and the 700 are the best yet with a big sound full of life, yes the tannoys had a bit more in the mid and crests 1 where great with vocals and my Q15 have good detail but the 700 make me happy" if i have rock, pop, dance or jazz, on the mission 700 will put a smile on my face and yours.
Just to add to my review on the mission 700 that include my Q15 that you can still get your hands on these speakers for a good price. But if after new a pair the mission 79 series is a good place to start and if a kef fan the lQ10 or lQ30 are very good i hear.

I Use The 700's In My Studio And The Sound's What
I use the 700's in my studio and the sound's what come out of them are mint. If your looking for a good pair of speakers and if you can still get a pair then just get them.
I have them now some years & simply love them; they work good on the H.K 3270 RDS(reciever). They even work good with the Rotel Amp.BX 820(difficult to partner).
But now there is a problem i wish to solve; one speaker did`t work 2 years ago, so I placed them on the Rotel amp. & they did work again, after some months they also worked again on the HK-reciever & after a week stopped working again(only the right side).
I would not want another pair, as I am difficult with choice & that may be the result even that I have this problem now, namely As I have indeed played alot with the buttons & knobs on the- HK reciever & to mention the Rotel is a straight amp.(great)& has no buttons, What to do now frustrates me as i have ultimately fallen for these apeakers. They are small & great & do fit in well in a flat invirement.

I've Had A Pair Of Black Mission 700's For About T
I've had a pair of black Mission 700's for about three years and they're fantastic. I use them as part of my home cinema system, and they provide fantastic treble and clear bass. The covers muffle sound slightly, and you get the clearest treble with them off. All this aside, these speakers perform fantastically and are excellent value for money.

Mission 700's If Your Looking For An Af
Mission 700's
If your looking for an affordable stand mounted speaker that can easily fill a small room with sound.
I bought my set from richer sounds for 60 quid 'in beach' which in my opinion looks a lot smarter an black.
Then deliver 75 watts of power which is surprising considering their size. They perform very well that all frequency within their range, granted the bass end cuts off at about 50Hz .The striking white bass cone takes advantage of mission technology, this means that the mission 700 deliver bass far more than rivals within this price range. The performance does depend on the amp you run them off. I have a sony micro system cmt cp1 which delivers 25 watts. Which runs fine and quite loud, however I have it in a small room? Which these speaker fill easily with bass, If you have a larger room I would expect these speaker to be fine, however a more powerful amp maybe needed.
I listen to a range of music with these speakers. Anything from the bass riffs of leftfield 'rhythm and stealth', to the high pitch guitars of the red hot chili's. In both extremes these speakers perform.
In all these speakers are great for the price. They well perform!
Ps .. a descent set of stands doesn't go a miss

I Listened To A Very Wide Range Of Speaker Package
I listened to a very wide range of speaker packages in this price group and the winner of my test are Mission 700s.
In this price band there is no speaker with such good definition of sound in wide bandwith. Tannoy M1 have better control but worse lower frequency responce, Eltax Liberty doesn't sound good at all, JPW Millennium are very good speakers but they lose compared with the advantages of Mission`s technology (contruction of mid/bass cone). Acoustic Energy Aegis One and ALR Entry 2 have bad characteristics and requires specific amplifier.
After long hours of listening i choose Mision 700s.
System made with 2 pairs Mission 701 , 700c2 and additional LFE speaker is the best solution for great quality home cinema.
