A Massive Let Down
ordered and paid for a home delivery on 5th sept ,delivery didnt arrive i understand sometimes things go wrong i work for a leading supermarket but no phone call to say its delayed or wont be arriving after several phone calls to the store a email to customer servive with no response so today i rang customer service which were no help what so ever its now 2 days past my original delivery day and i still have no order all customer service said was no one is answering the phone so they will drop the store a email really bad customer service and will not be ordering from them again
Rude Aggressive Manager
Will not be shopping in Iceland again if they train their Managers to speak to customers like I was spoken to today, and it's not the first time I experienced this particular Manager speaking to customers in this way.
I am taking my custom elsewhere in future.

Charged Me Twice And Loads Of Items Did Not Arrive!
I ordered online and had a delivery on good Friday, apparently due to Iceland's error my order was duplicated and I was charged twice! I sent the duplicate order away. No Easter eggs that I ordered. I was charged twice. When I rang and complained I was told my refund would take 3-5 days. I explained I couldn't wait 3-5 days as this would leave me very short of money over Easter, I was informed that nothing could be done. I asked to speak to a manager and was told this was not possible. When I asked again I was told my call was being terminated and the person hung up! I rang again and asked to speak to a manager, eventually I spoke with a 'manager' and explained that I could not afford to be without the money they had taken, but was told there was nothing that could be done. So due to their error I was short of money for the whole of the bank holiday period, and I had to change the things I had planned to do with my children. I complained to Iceland who sent me a £5 coupon if I spend over £30. I won't be using it because I won't be shopping Iceland again. Disgusting way to treat their customers, totally ruined what should have been a nice family Easter.
This is 2020. Imagine our surprise when our order delivered by Iceland in Essex was NOT ONLY DUPLICATED BUT CHARGED TWICE. We're in COVID19 lockdown and vulnerable. Our small freezer unable to take that capacity. So much waste and over £230 taken from our account! We're on tiny pension. We're highly vulnerable. My hubby is my carer but we're not computer illiterate. Cannot make contact with supermarket. And they still couldn't find any toilet rolls for us! HELP!
Yes I agree. When I went there, their was a mucky picture sellotaped to the windows from some bird called Sara Bishop come dump, with a phone number, well my phone was tapping away at that number I can tell you missus !.
So, all in all, TOP DRAW for the Sara Bishop flyer, MAN THAT GIRL TAKES IT IN ALL HOLES ! and, go Iceland for having the bottle to keep it up !.

My Best Discovery Ever!
I hadn't realised until a few months ago how diverse the grocery stock is in Iceland, not just frozen stuff.
Good prices.
My local Loughborough store staff are very helpful as I have arthritis and limited movement so can't always reach items. They also check with in store customers if they would like home delivery, (when there's room on truck), just before the driver leaves.
The online order delivery people are so pleasant and patient.
Sometimes there may be an online ordered item out of stock but lets face it that happens now and again if you do an instore shop anywhere .
Being able to amend an online order up to 10pm eve of delivery is so useful. I often get home from shopping elsewhere and remember something I needed but couldn't face the trek back to the store.
The only downside is the way they have recently changed how you pay for an online order. Its not always convenient to have to pay on ordering when you're choosing a delivery date a few days ahead.
For those on limited income, pensions, benefits etc, it means you cannot order earlier than your payday.
Overall a very easy and cost effective way to shop for majority of household items.

Disgusting Customer Service
Booked a delivery, it didn't arrive on time. Telephoned customer services who checked and confirmed order was out for delivery and just running late. Said the store would call to confirm time. Peterborough store called and said delivery would possibly arrive Saturday. Nonsense especially as I had an email confirming delivery date and time today, plus the money for the shopping had been taken out of my account. No manager to deal with the call and resolve issue/mistakes. Incredibly rude staff don't listen to customers but always wanting to talk over them with insincere apologies, laughing and winding customers up saying, "there's nothing they can do" and nobody available to help resolve the problem. Absolutely disgusting, low-level service. Best advice, shop somewhere else where your custom is appreciated and customers are treated with respect. Don't touch this store! Terrible experience - they expect customers to take delivery of food over 24 hours late that have been sat on a van.

Xmas Shop
Important items missing from list ordered a week before xmas was promised a full refund but was instead refunded a fraction of the cost. Customer service agent rude. Caused undue stress at Xmas not happy will not be using Iceland again they couldn't of cared less.

I've now had 4 online shopping orders from Iceland and every time items were missing - marked out of stock - despite being marked in-stock on the website.
Strangely it was always items that were heavy or bulky that were missing from each delivery.
Today - after my normal delivery with out of stock items I went into the local store and low and behold - all the out of stock items were available to buy!
On quizzing a member of staff I was told that quite often they take items off the online orders as sometimes they are too heavy for the van and it means they can cover more orders in a single day if some items are taken off orders to allow more space in the van.
Iceland - Is this really any way to run a business???
I won't be ordering from Iceland ever again!!!

Disgusting tasted of nothing but fat & salt very similar to cheap supermarket burgers , a complete waste of money.

Overall ok supermarket, but can be challenging at times.
It is better to say nothing, than come out with OTT jokey conversation-which is tiresome for the customer, who will laugh at the lame joke just to be polite and remain calm if the comment was meant to hint at something less than positive.

Has anyone been having problems making a card payment on the online shopping site for Iceland? I have spent hours trying to make payments and usually I get it through in the end, but this week it would not take it and I had to just leave the site and forget about the online service.
