Bt Digital Cordless Phones

I have had a BT digital cordless phone for 5 years. It still works, but the digital display has all but disappeared. The BT helpline told me it was mass produced, and that 5 years was a long time to have a phone and it was probably time to replace it. Our old fashioned push button phone is still going strong - caller display - looks great. Pity BT can't produce phones that live up to those we had when we were growing up.

I wouldn't recommend any of BT's cordless phones - they're not built to last!

We won't be buying BT again.

Setting Up The Bt Synergy 3105 Dect Cordless Telep

Setting up the BT Synergy 3105 DECT Cordless Telephone is a bit complex but lack of reliability in handsets ie one has lost display all together; another cuts itself off when you go to hands free and doesn't show caller display; the third hands free is very muted. now having to but new handsets or a complete new system - not good after just four years of relatively little use..

BT equipment was fine all the time it worked. When it didn't, support was badly lacking.

I Have Had This Bt Synergy 3105 Dect Cordless Tele

I have had this BT Synergy 3105 DECT Cordless Telephone for coming up to 3 years now and, touch wood, it's never let me down. I remember when I first bought it, it was easy to set up, very user friendly, in fact i have never read the manual and i know how to use ALL of its feature. I can only say that now I've had it a few years it looks a little dated but still, not really on the stone age side of design. As I have said, the only real let down is, when compared to most new models, it doesn't have a sim card reader or sms facility, but seeing as I have my mobile for the sms its not all bad. I am in fact so impressed, I'm currently looking on ebay to purchase another set for a friend and my oh my they're a lot cheaper than they were when i bought mine? Around £25 for the Quad (4x) handset system with answer phone facility, I'm also told you can use anywhere up to 10 handsets on one base unit, possibly more. We shall see. All in all, a very good phone for the home.

Initial Purchase Was For The Bt Synergy 3505t: Th

Initial purchase was for the BT Synergy 3505T: that is the 3 phone package with answering machine. We tried it for a month and then returned it because of poor audio quality and signal drop out. The replacement performed in the same way so this has been returned aswell after a further month of use. The audio quality at low volume was good, but it became distorted and unreadable at the highest volumes and you sounded as if you were talking down a pipe. The most annoying occurences were the 'low signal' beeps indicating interruptions in reception, occasionally within a few meters of the base unit. This DECT only managed 80 meters (in a straight, 'line of sight' trial) outside and only 22 meters inside on the same floor. The answer machine was fine, but setting the time on the TAM menu was a bit of a fiddle when it is difficult to hear what is being said on the audio instructions. In case you are wondering my hearing is tested annually for work in aviation!

Why Aren't The Bt Synergy 3105 Dect Cordless Telep

Why aren't The BT Synergy 3105 Dect cordless telephones hand-friendly. Our hands like to feel things that have shape and edges. Fingers like to pick up things with weight, not lightweight slippery sausages.

The display seems to be a weakness, which is disappointing as its display is the reason I bought it.

Out of a Quad set, one display is now completely unintelligible, one has two lines missing and a third is beginning to go. Only just out of warranty. Not much good when you want to see the caller's number. Without the display you can't use most of the handset's functions.

Cost of repair exceeds the cost of a new phone, so I have to consider this item as a throw-away item of limited life.
