Stereotyped

Went into store to look at earrings wife asked if we could look at three the lady asked one of the staff to help us he proceed to walk over to us and look myself & wife up and down and ask what we wanted to look at. We told him the selection we was interested in he then looked us up and down again and went to get the items I then walked off and said I’m not here to be treated like this. I then walked up to the sales person and said don’t bother and asked what his problem was for then I’m guessing the manager came over all guns blazing we don’t like your type of attitude and pushed her hands towards me and got us out the shop.

We then went up to beverbrooks upstairs where you get served and they are happy to take your money. I’m glad at this day in age that a store can stereotype people and let sales go with all these big stores going into admission. I’ve always wondered why there’s never any customers in the store and now I know why.

Don’t bother going there shocking customer service.

Shoddy Goods

Seems there is not much eternal about my wife's £900 eternity ring. After only 3 years the diamonds have come loose from their setting, with 2 being lost. Somehow this is deemed as "customer fault" with no further detail. They now want £140 to repair their shoddy workmanship. The ring was always removed for situations damage may occur and all my wife's other rings have no damage. Looking at other reviews it is a common occurrence with Leslie Davis workmanship.

Avoid this store unless you can afford £900 throwaway costume jewellery.

Terrible And Illegal Practice

Bought a ring from the lakeside branch and then had to get it resized. After collecting the resized ring we noticed that it hadn't been hallmarked!!! An absolute legal requirement for any jeweller!! Only noticed the lack of a hallmark a week before I'm supposed to get married. When I spoke to their head office they informed me it would talk 4 weeks for them to get it hallmarked. LIE. I spoke to the assay office who actually do the hallmarking and they informed me it takes a maximum of 6 working days but they also do same day and next day services. They also informed me that it is an offence to sell a ring without a hallmark something which the company can be taken to court over. I then called the head office back and informed them of the different costs of the hallmarking... After much debate and getting me to run back and forth to lakeside to sign some documents, they then only agreed to reimburse me the cost of just the hallmarking not the travel costs it would incur to get up to London to drop it off and to pick it up. I find this service absolutely atrocious. They've committed a felony by not hallmarking the original item they sold me and then they're brushing it off as if it's a little mistake. It's not a little mistake. When I went into the store they didn't even have the brain to understand the level of their mistake or the decency to apologise for it. I could have taken them to court and got them fined but instead all I asked for was a small charge to be paid for the travelling fees. Big company like leslie davis can't even afford that? I would never recommend this store or this company to anyone buying jewellery. The amount of stress and hassle I've had over them the week before my wedding is ridiculous. Wish I could go back and stop myself from ever walking into their store. Awful customer service awful cooperation.

After Sales Unacceptable

Purchased a ring that had to be resized. Sales person took my measurement and wrote it wrong as 17 days later, when my ring came back, it was a full size too big!.

Never mind, sent it again, being promised it would be back on time for a wedding i am going to this weekend.

after 20 days i called the shop to be told the manager would chase the ring and call me back. No call back.

I called 4 times that same afternoon, never an answer.

Following day i managed to speak to someone who said there had been a confusion as per who should pay for the repair ( fortunattely, i wasnt to pay, as their sales person wrote the wrong information on the repair documents to their repairers) so it has been delayed and i will not have it on time, they can understand i am not happy but there is nothing they can do, the ring will be there next week.

So it will have taken 6 weeks (!!!!!!) to have a ring re-sized, i do not call that good customer service at all in this day and age where everything is fast, it is totally unacceptable to wait 6 weeks for a simple re-sizing!! i will definitively not recommend!

Using Non Precious Metal

After purchasing a sapphire and diamond ring from Leslie Davis the ring broke at the bottom. As my partner wears the ring every day I accepted that it should be fixed. Therefore I took the ring back to be repaired via Leslie Davis to keep a track of all works.

However after 2weeks the band broke again in the same place. I took the ring back in store to get them to repair it again. This time Leslie Davis called me up to say that a non precious metal had been used to repair the ring. As I had used them before to repair the ring I asked that it either gets re done or the jewels reset as only the band was ruined.

I had to chase Leslie Davis for answer/ outcome that still after 4 weeks have not happened.

I have had the ring privately tested and the platinum ring that I had bought is actually white gold with a very high level of silver. Do not buy a ring from Leslie Davis. It's not worth the hassle and the days and weeks of chasing.

Customer Care Policy Is Shambolic.

Today 5/10/2014 My Wife and I visited two Leslie Davis stores and the response we got was shambolic.

The ruby ring my Wife had worn only several times since December 2013 has three stones missing and she has been blamed for the damage!!! However the other rings on her fingers have not lost any stones in the 20 something years she has had them!!

When we asked for a refund we were informed that the damage was not down to manufacture issues but from misuse on her part!!!! This is clearly not the case.

It seems to me that Leslie Davis is happy to help you when your credit card or hard earned cash is about to given to them but when a problem is handed to them they clearly just don't want to know you.

My credit card company is being notified first thing in the morning. PLEASE take note and think very hard before your credit card or hard earned cash is exchanged for the Shambolic service we have encountered today.

Watch Out For Trouble From Leslie Davis Jewellers

Leslie Davis the jewellers in Milton Keynes took my Breitling watch for service, kept me waiting for 7 weeks (received by Breitling on 19 July) and sent me an SMS saying it was ready for collection. When I went to collect it today 9 August, they said " you know it has not been repaired?" What a stupid company who thinks a customer would take it for repair and not want it repaired. I asked for the repair and had an cost estimate for the repair but they just returned the watch unrepaired. If they lie to you about service , what else are they lying about? Are the diamonds they sell really diamonds, or are they paste?

Do they have any intelligence? If I were you , I would stay well away from them and find another jeweller. Leslie Davis: Trash company and trash service.

And Breitling make poor quality products. My expensive watch has had 3 x repairs in 8 years. I'll get rid of it on ebay and buy a cheap chinese watch. It might work better…..

Horrible Service

Me and my fiancé was looking for an engagement ring in silver and with a citrine. When we came to the store we realised the window didn't have what we were after, but a very friendly woman invited us to sit and explained that we could have a ring custom made and that there would be no problem finding a setting that would suit our budget. We came in a week later and the friendly woman wasn't there, instead there was this horrible woman who looked down on us and basically said unless we paid more than 450 pounds there was no way they could make anything for us. She wouldn't sit us down, but had us standing at the counter and shooting down any idea we presented. We stood our ground and said that we had been told we could make a ring for our budget. She told us she would look into it, told us to leave and phoned me up 30 minutes later to say they weren't going to help us unless we spent 500 pounds. For silver... and a citrine... I was ruined, I have never felt so cheap and unwelcome in my life, I have never been refused custom before.. I felt like they were taking my proposal from me. We went to Ernest Jones instead and received a completely different treatment, they were open, attentive and very friendly and really made a very good job in assisting us. We walked off very happy and with a beautiful engagement ring in silver, white topaz and diamonds. I will never go to Leslie Davies, horrible experience!

Terrible Service

I took a watch to be serviced 5 months ago and am still waiting to get it back. I paid £250 up front (which I have since found out is about £100 more than it would have cost elsewhere) and was told it would be back in 4 weeks. After two months I phoned to chase it as I had not heard anything and was told it had been dispatched and would be back within a week. 6 weeks later I chased them and was told the same, after arguing my case I was told they would look into it (how good of them) they have since come back and told me it needs a repair and will be back in 6 weeks. Almost 6 months after taking it in and five months after they said. If I had not chased them I am in no doubt I still wouldn't have heard anything and would never see my watch again. Would I recommend? No
