Simoniz Original Wax

This is probably the best products Simoniz do! It gives great shine to the surface and lasts forever. Makes washing a lot easier.

It takes a lot of effort to apply, so treating a whole car might take a while. I use it on my motorbike, so that doesn't bother me.

Somebody mentioned three cloths, that is indeed the best way to do it however two will do just fine.

I would recommend this to anyone. Liquid waxes are great, very convenient but if you want to do something, do it right and go for the best protection. No liquid wax will give you the same long lasting protection as the original wax will.

Like Tommy, I found it so difficult to get hold of Simoniz Original Fine Wax that I abandoned it in favour of inferior but obtainable products eg Mc Guiars. However, I recently discovered it had recently been re-launched (maybe to coincide with Simoniz's centenary year). I bought a couple of tins. First thoughts were that it appeared a lot paler in colour than previous and a lot less rich in Carnauba content, (the two are probably connected), harder to apply and a lot harder to buff. Up to this stage I have to say I was rather disappointed, but the resulting shine appears as good as ever. I have yet to assess its longevity. So, for the moment, I have mixed feelings about it. Maybe my technique needs reviewing!!

I am finding Simoniz Original Wax increasingly hard to buy as very few car accessory shops in Northern Ireland stock it now. The original wax provides a deep, long lasting polished coating which preserves the original colour of the car. It lasts for months. I am rapidly running out of polish and cannot trace a supplier. Help!!

Compared with Turtle wax, I found that the Simoniz polish lasted for longer and gave a deeper shine. It was easily applied and it seemed much easier to buff to a shine than Turtle wax. Only downside is that it was slightly too fluid so care was needed when pouring onto a cleaning rag.

Do not apply Simoniz Original Wax in direct sunlight; always in shade, or dawn, or dusk. Use 3 cloths: small applicator, wiper cloth, and polishing cloth. Apply in 12"-16" (.3-.4m) areas, smaller if air is hot and dry. Rub well all around. Wait 30 seconds after rub-on. Wipe smooth with wiper cloth. Polish well with polish cloth. View disant objects by reflection from surface to verify applied wax is now uniform and shiny. Go to next adjacent surface. Repeat til auto is completely polished.

I have always used Simoniz Original Wax and find it wonderfully effective for lasting deep shine. Resists the weather and makes car washing an easy task.
