A Future Classic.
Had my Adiva 150cc for about 5 years or so. Compared to the Bmw C1's (125 and 200cc) It wins on every day practicality. It rides like a normal scooter. The Bmw's don't. Fuel economy is great considering I virtually wring it's neck trying to keep with traffic on motorways and fast A roads. Top speed is approx 62 to 65 mph. Done approx 50.000 + miles and it's stil going strong. Weather protection is very good for your top half but your lower legs tend to get a little damp mainly due to the faring design which alllows water to drip off and onto your trouser leg in heavy rain( not really a problem in light rain though. Very important point to make is that you need to be a bit of a mechanic if you own one of these because very few dealers would want to get involved with these scoots because of part supplies. You can easily do most of the basic jobs yourself. Word of warning...Don't ever use the wiper system on the screen unless it's well soaked before you switch them on as the screen is made of acrylic with an anti scratch coating....It will still mark up!! The best part of the bike is apart from the roof cover design is the engine..It is bomb proof!
Good points..
Design gets you notticed everywhere you go (Which makes it safer)
Engine is super reliable
Boot carrying capacity (a weeks shopping stuffed in there)
CD or radio can be fitted and doesn't get drowned out by wind noise.
Brakes stop you very well.
Cheap to insure and run.
You won't want to get rid of it once you see the benefits of using one.
Bad points.
If your going to cosider one..Make sure it's been treated kindly to start with.
Body panels are only available on ones that are breaking now.
Plastics are not up to the standard of Japanese quality.
Plastic window screen as opposed to glass (Scratches easily)
Parts like headlamps, rear lights, speedo drives, cables, clocks hard to get hold of.
Suited more to dual carriageways of urban roads because of limited speed.
Final coment.
Get a good one if you can..They are as rare as hen's teeth. Be mechanically sypathetic to it and it will give you years of enjoyment.
Fantastic When It Rains
I ride my Adiva into work every day and I can tell you the weather protection really works. The handling is good with roof up or down and I hardly ever bother riding with the roof down because its so comfortable with the roof up, even in the summer. The only downside is that the suspension isn't great over rough roads and I wouldn't recommend taking out at speed on windy roads as it does get blown about a bit. But if you are looking for a reliable commuter scooter for city use in all weathers its the best.

The Benelli Adiva Is A Great Every Day City Commut
The Benelli Adiva is a great every day city commuter bike. Comfortable, spacious, good instrumentation and easy to handle. I fitted a CD radio and it sounds great and also reminds other drivers and pedestrians that you are there. Achieves around 80mpg from the 150 version. Good disc brakes front and rear. No faults in 3000 miles always starts. The best weather protection. Pillion always feels secure although not the most roomy. Large boot in rear or stores fold away roof.
A great second hand buy as they are quite cheap. Good mechanically. I am fairly sure it is based on the Piaggio engine. An underrated future classic.

Fantastic In All Weathers, With Stereo System And
Fantastic in all weathers, with stereo system and widscreen wash and wipers, and a boot! Space for two! Easy to source parts.
You get grumpy looks from other bikers when it rains and you are dry listening to music.
I have an adiva scooter Australia where can i find a stereo system to suit the scooter thanks
Having A Bad Time Of Trying To Obtain Parts In Ord
Having a bad time of trying to obtain parts in order for the scooter to run. In the six months that I have owned this vehicle, I have had a total of three repair companies who have tried and failed miserably to get this scooter running.
Presently I know someone who is trying desperately to pirate parts from other makes to adapt and fit to the scooter. I still have not had the pleasure of even riding it as yet as it has not been mobile since I purchased it.
Originally I purchased the scooter to get from one project to the next as I currently run around six project simultaneously.
Q&A
How do I get the drive belt for this model and brake pad?
