Complete And Utter Trash

Brand new 2018 piaggio Typhoon 50 floods if I sneeze and accidentally turn the throttle more than a third, that is of course if I can even get it to start.

I can forget taking off again if I come to a complete stop I may as well park when I see a red light and read a book for half an hour until it kicks over again.

I had issues straight off the lot but was told a "running in" period was required (1000km) which I understand but I also understand that, in order to run it in, it would need to be running.

2003, Piaggio Typhoon 50. I Made A Review On

2003, piaggio typhoon 50.

i made a review on december 26th too.

ive sold my typhoon now after 6000km of riding it. now have an rd125lc :)

the typhoon is a good moped. it is reliable, good value for money, and quite quick.

my particular typhoon ran up to around 55mph, (indicated speed) should be a genuine 50mph. I managed 70mph flat out, down a hill.

I had a sports exhaust, not the best but better than standard. I also had the spacer taken out of the variator, also an iridium spark plug, ngk(br9eix). these modifications helped increase speed.

if your typhoon tops out at around 40-45, you might have a variator restriction. the iridium plug also ads a genuine 5mph top speed, plus more acceleration.

make sure you dont snap the accelerator cable because there very hard to refit.

only bad points of this ped are, the looks, as they havent changed in the 17 years they have been running. also theknowbbly tyres aren't great in wet weather riding.

Ive Only Had My Piaggio Typhoon 50 2003' For 2 Day

ive only had my piaggio typhoon 50 2003' for 2 days now, but i can still confidently say its a great bike. It only cost £250 and its in perfect condition. It has standard air filter, carburettor and exhaust, but it has been de-restricted, so on the flat i hit 50 mph, even up steep banks it will pull all 11 stone of me to 35mph, i maxed it out down hill and hit 60mph with the exhaust rumbling. it will also do about 80 mpg. All i can say is wrong with the bike is the wheels. They arent very grippy so you have to take corners like an idiot to avoid potential sliding. the 2 stroke engine is quite lively once you get over 10mph, because theres a little powerband which helps you along to 50 mph quickly. the automatic gearbox is great for riding around town and geting out of junctions or lights because you can just rev it with the breaks on and get up to 20mph in seconds leaving most cars standing. Its also very light at the fron so you can pull wheelies easy enough, not that ive tried :)

hello m8 if you look at the exsorst from the side you will see it splitting off in two if you cut were it split off and cover the two holes it will put 10mph on your Typhoon.
