Avoid This Disgraceful Company
An absolutely appalling company.
I bought a used laptop from them a month ago. There was no OS on it. It was returned and they confirmed receipt. It then took over a week for them to "book it in" and nearly a week after that no one has looked at it.
I have demanded a refund many times and am continuously being fobbed off by overseas customer service agents who are paid to mislead. I have just been told I must wait another 24 to 72 hours before this unfair case manager will respond to me.
This company has caused me so much stress over the last month. I will never deal with them again.

Zero stars if I could.
Worst customer service I have ever received!
Bought a "refurbished" laptop that had fans the sounded like jet engines when just browsing with chrome.
After first restart it corrupted windows and never booted again.
I returned immediately.
They received the return over two weeks ago now and still no refund.
Customer service are worse than useless and can't tell me anything other than "it's waiting to be checked".
If it takes this long then you need to hire more staff.
Completely useless. Would never use them or any of their other companies under the buy it direct Ltd banner.
Do yourself a favour and but from someone else and STAY AWAY from the useless company.

Steer Well Clear! Faulty Laptop And Unhelpful Customer Servi
Ordered HP refurbished laptop. Worked fine except for the in-built camera which wasn't working.
Went back and forth with tech support for days - they were not at all helpful, suggested things I had already informed them I had done.
I finally spoke to their tech support on the phone. Went through everything again and was informed they had to arrange for the laptop to be collected so they could check it - they said it had not been checked before it was sold to me... when I questioned the sale of a refurbished laptop not being checked, they backtracked and said it had!!! After checking they would repair it or issue a refund, but the checking part would take 7-10 days.
I would not be able to get a refund or a replacement until after the 7-10 days.
Escalated the matter. Had another phone call and was told the exact same thing again. Very unhelpful, very unsympathetic.
Steer well clear!!!

???? URGENT WARNING: Beware of Samsung UK and Laptops Direct ????
Sharing my nightmare experience with Samsung UK and Laptops Direct to save you from a similar ordeal. ???? Read on and spread the word to protect others!
In January 2023, I invested a substantial £1290 with Laptops Direct for a Samsung TV. Just five months later, the TV started acting up – malfunctions and irregularities galore, making it utterly unusable. Upon inspection, it was clear that the screen was damaged beneath the glass, a blatant manufacturing defect.
My pleas for assistance from Laptops Direct were met with shocking indifference and apathy. They shrugged off their responsibility, citing a measly three-month warranty and passing the buck to both me and Samsung. This heartless evasion reflects a disregard for customer satisfaction and product quality that's simply unforgivable.
After enduring a convoluted process, an engineer was finally dispatched to replace the faulty screen. But guess what? The other problems were ignored, then after that the tv started playing up again and the engineers were called back and took the tv away for two weeks and then brought it back and told me there is nothing wrong with it .So the TV came back to me unchanged. I contacted laptops direct again and was told there was no point ring them and get in touch with Samsung.
Turning to Samsung UK for help, I was met with more disappointment. They insisted on further repairs despite my concerns about the product's integrity and post-warranty problems. Their suggestion of a 10% discount on a replacement TV was an insulting slap in the face – evidence of their lack of respect for customers' investments. I don’t think buying another tv after it lasting for 5 months for 10 percent off going to appeal to anyone.
And also why would I be without a TV for 2 weeks and have loads of emails and sending photos etc if the TV is fine, Surely nobody can be that bored!!!... I didn’t want my money back I wanted to replacement!... the same model or equivalent
I Have now given up and will buy another TV. This is just a warning because I thought by using laptops direct I would save money rather then using larger companies but that 100 pound I saved has now cost me far more..
Updated response...
Just had a phone call from Laptop direct and they once again laid the blame with samsung and want nothing to do with my claim.
so new tv today for me.
having to the use of a faulty tv for 5 months for a cost of nearly £1300 doesn't sound like a bargain thou..... Pennywise pound foolish. I have taken the hit now but will continue to make sure I warn as many people over social

Hide Behind The Small Print
Laptops direct are a banned word. I bought a laptop from them it was pictured in silver when it came it was black, they say it is not even made in silver. Silver is mentioned in the spec but this relates to something else. They later changed the listing images to black, they refuse to take it back and refund me , I have had the item for a month now and not used it. obviously trustpilot are sponsored by them and are selective about their reviews, other sites like this and watchdog are not and laptops direct get lots of bad reviews on them for poor service . Once laptops direct have had your money they do not want to know you, avoid at all costs.

Avoid Like The Plague
Screen started bleeding after just 5 months of use. Laptops Direct have refused to replace, repair or even send an engineer to have a look at the item, they have fobbed me off saying it user damage. Their managers shout and talk over me on the phone. No customer service skills whatsoever just take the money and run. Total disregard for the Consumer Rights Act. I have reported them to the Trading Standards Ombudsman as I believe them to be a rogue business selling goods not fit for purpose. STAY WELL AWAY!

Do Not Use This Company.
Do not under any circumstances use this sorry excuse for a company. I sent my laptop in after receiving an online offer of £145, I clearly stated that the battery was faulty and didn’t hold a charge, but the offer was still £145.
I heard nothing from them so I sent an email asking if they had received my laptop, because they state that once received they send an email to confirm receipt. They asked for proof of postage which I gave, then came back and said yes we do have it, we received it on the 30-07-2021. That means it took six days to get to them, but also they didn’t even know they had it.
They said it would be tested and they would be in contact. Five days later they contacted me to say “ the battery is faulty “ yes I already told you that, and they found scratches on the lid, not so, because I always look after my laptops, and they are always kept in a soft case. They have revised their offer, it was £145 and they were now offering £10.
It is very clear that once the goods are received they will say anything to lower the price, in the hope you will be stupid enough to say yes, you keep it I can’t be bothered having it back.
PLEASE DON’T BE STUPID LIKE ME,DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, I CAN GUARANTEE YOU WILL( LIKE ME )DEEPLY REGRET IT. DO NOT USE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Nightmare Dealing With The Aftermath Of False Promises
It seems like LaptopsDirect is doing everything they can to not send me an item I ordered. An item that is seemingly in stock according to both the LD website and sales reps.
In short:
Very time consuming and poor experience. I would recommend if you like to waste time and money, be mocked and condescended, but I am taking my business elsewhere and so should you.
On June 26th, I ordered quite a specific monitor from LD to use for working from home. I was glad to find it on their site and all seemed fine when I received the product on the day promised.
Unfortunately, my troubles with LaptopsDirect began when I discovered that my order wasn't functioning on arrival. I contacted LD and arranged to send the monitor back for an exchange. Although that was agreed upon at first, soon after receiving the returned item, they tell me that they cannot ship me the product I had already paid for anymore. Through both phone calls and email I was 'urged' to settle for a refund or alternative product, but was never given a clear answer on future availability. I declined and made clear that I would be fine with waiting because of my specific professional necessity for this item. After several exchanges of emails, I finally get a mocking (purposefully getting my name wrong) hush email, telling me a new order of the item had been put through.
Sorted, right? Not quite. The first redelivery was promised on July 13th, three weeks after my first order. Mind you that within this entire process of nearly a month trying to get something sorted, this product has not gone out of stock once. It always showed on their site as available for next day delivery. Even when I called a sales representative directly, they told me that this product can be delivered the same week. Yet, multiple times now, I've received emails that my order has been delayed. I feel exhausted dealing with this, being constantly brushed off and kept on a line with false promises.
I cannot wrap my head around the manner of operation at LD, but no one I've contacted could give me a straight answer as to why they cannot fulfil my order of the product that they claim to have in stock. As a web business, how is their website not up to date with their inventory? I could understand if both the website and the sales representatives say that this item wasn't available, but in reality it doesn't match up. So, here I am, still waiting for an item I paid them over £450 for.
Very time consuming and poor experience. I would recommend if you like to waste time and money, be mocked and condescended, but I am taking my business elsewhere and so should you.

Absolutely Awful Service
Absolutely awful service. Paid for extended guarantee and never received documentation. Hinge on laptop broke having barely been used. I was told it was "wear and tear" and disagreed so sent it back for analysis. I was then phoned and told that I had "tampered with it" and they would keep it for 90 days and then dispose or they "could" send it back to me if I wanted. Note in package I received back said it had been "damaged by customer." It 100% was not damaged by customer and I am furious. If I could give zero stars I would.

Terrible Service & Charge U To Chase Them Up
Bought a 4k monoitor with next day delivery. Arrived faulty, manufacturer went through tests with me said it needed replacing go via laptops direct as itd be quicker. On the phone which i didnt realise was being charged at a premium rate they said theyd exchange 'super quick' they didnt though instead i had to chase them up many times all adding up £58 in total. I eventually got the money back for my monitor but not my £58 and had to order a monitor elsewhere. Lost two weeks of use and £58 because of this company. If theres problems they look after themselves only not the customer.
Q&A
I was thinking about buying a laptop from laptops direct but on looking at the reviews I am having second thoughts. Has anyone had trouble with them?
