An Excruciating Experience With Poor Management.
This is primarily about the Wisbech Super Store. Believe me it isn't very super.
The management shuts the pizza counter before 5pm. The stock levels of fresh pizza are inadequate to begin with. This is just plain stupidity.
The shelves have more stock holes in them than product it seems. There are also very few staff members filling the shelves. Most seen to be plugged into their phones, wandering around in a mindless fashion, doing other people's shopping.
The stock levels in the fridges are scarce to negligible. If you want a decent microwave curry, go to Tesco. You'll have a hell of a job finding one in ASDA. The two they had were Massala Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh. Neither of which cans with rice.
It's plain to see where money is being skimped and management don't care.
Offer Unavailability And Attitude Of Customer Services
These are my experiences of my problems trying to use the ASDA offer of soup and unlimited tea or coffee for over 60s until the end of March; also the reaction of customer services and ASDA CEO's office to me informing them about this.
On 18 January I went to the ASDA, Isle of Dogs, London store to shop and use the above offer. I was told this was not possible because one of the microwaves was faulty and no soup would be available. It seems the other microwave would be reserved for making the lunchtime hot dishes. I wrote to customer services telling them that this situation needed to be rectified and was amazed to receive a reply that seemed to show they had no interest in this and that I should take it up with the manager of the store. Therefore I wrote to them again telling them that as customer services, comments from customers should actually be of interest to them, they wrote back asking me questions about the store, the answers to which I had already put in to my first message - showing they had not even bothered to read the first message before sending me a standard reply to get rid of me.
On 31 January I went to the ASDA, Barking store to and try again use the offer. This time I was told that there were no hot drinks or meals available at all and there was no indication given as to when the problem might be fixed. I wrote to customer services again and have yet to receive any reply.
I will not be going out of my way to try and use the offer a third time.
Finally I wrote to the ASDA CEO. The response I got from someone, presumably delegated to handle my query, was that they were having an issue with the hot water and a store manager would keep me informed directly about what was going on. I thought this response was as glib as the one from customer services as it did not attempt to address: which of the two stores had the issue (presumably Barking but that does not explain what happened at the Isle of Dogs); why it was taking almost a month to solve the problem; customer services' original attitude.
People might be forgiven for thinking that, although this and similar offers generate favourable headlines for ASDA when launched, in practice it is not possible to use them. I note that I have heard about similar experiences from other people trying to use the offer e.g. no hot water was available for the offer but conveniently other hot food was still available.

Brick Wall
Disability discrimination experienced in store due to lack of training and awareness. Escalated twice in store and no further forward. Escalated to Area Manager in Leeds who also was not able to direct his subordinates into resolving the issue. The discrimination is indirect discrimination but there is no question about it.
It's impossible to progress the complaint to a resolution to any of Asda's given online support channels, so i have been left with one option. I have to sue them. Currently seeking advice.

Asda Cafe Blantyre
I am a regular asda shopper and no complaints about the store but the cafe is terrible and the staff dont have a clue about customer service and are very slow at serving customers. They spend most of their time standing doing nothing and if i worked as slow as them i would be fired. You need older qualified staff and not teens that dont want to work. The cafe also needs a deep clean. I live outside this area and wont be going back to this cafe.
Little Concern Over Security
Hi. This is a review of my experience with ASDA customer services at headquarters in relation to a security concern. In a nutcshell, there is a blind-spot in the forecourt part of the retail building where anti-social behaviour occurs from time-to-time. The solution is to put up a camera in a prominent view to deter this ant-social behaviour and to enable the provision of video evidence if and when anti-social behavior occurs.
It might cost (say) £500 to install a security camera, to, not least, provide some comfort (for want of a better word) to shoppers, knowing that there is a camera watching. But, it seems that ASDA will not act in any way to improve the security at the store. I find this lack of action a sure sign of ineffective and weak leadership. But sadly very typical of today's organisations.

Click & Collect At Ferring
Used click & collect for the first time and what a waste of time it is. We could have gone around the entire store in the time we had to wait for our order. It took 5 attempts to get them to answer the phone and then after 20 mins had to ring again to chase them up. We would never use this useless service again.

Absolutely Useless!
The orders are never right!
We get shopping delivered to the house as we are all on the move with work. This weekend we got HALF the order and was told to expect the rest today, we had to chase them up to be told it will arrive tomorrow morning 2 DAYS LATE!
ALWAYS WRONG, ALWAYS LATE, ALWAYS SHORT-DATED!
The only thing they are consistent with is their failure to provide a simple service.

Asda Blantyre Disgusting Nasty Cruel
Yesterday my mum was having a delivery and was running back. And the driver phoned and wasn’t prepared to take it away ( 5 mins) he said that it had to go to somebody like a neighbour, my mum was being pressured to do what he wanted.
So some people find it hard to have food delivered to other people and my sister was pressured by Asda to accept it, she couldn’t and had to bin in. I put a complaint and then speaking to Asda customer relations they was offering to re deliver the entire order and pick up the old order. I explained my sisters condition like anybody with a similar issue can’t cope with it being there. Nobody enjoyed throwing it away but it’s about understanding how it affects my sister and also how the pressure put on by the driver to allow a 3rd party to receive the goods.
So he said you don’t have them ok I understand your families position and how upset your sister was feeling, so now I need to ask the store manager if he will do it, as it’s will be his discretion. The manager declined putting all the blame at my mums door and not giving and care for my sisters condition. Basically not getting involved leaving my mum out of pocket where is started because of them
Q&A
With click and collect can you use a delivery pass to fix a regular collect slot?
I have a inquiry, I recently purchased the non fat soft cheese Quark costing 50p. This week I purchased it and it cost 96p. The asda was Taylors Lane Parkgate. The product was not on offer before so why the 46p increase?
