Very Convincing Graphics And The Players Basically

Very convincing graphics and the players basically look as they do in the movie. Great choice of weapons.

Outstanding game one major upset "GUNS" but outside of that box the game deserves a 10 but I reward it with only a nine. Well recommend The Warriors.

I Wouldn't Really Spend You Money On The Warriors

I wouldn't really spend you money on The Warriors PS2 game. Although the storyline is good, the graphics aren't! Although, if you have seen the film, you may like the fact that this shows you what happened before the start of the film.

There Are A Lot Of Gta Copiers Out There Right Now

There are a lot of GTA copiers out there right now (50 CENT, TRUE CRIME). But, whenever I see that Rockstar logo you know that you are always going to be treated with some decent story, addictive gameplay, and above all, in most cases, an 18 certificate and bad language.

Those of you with any sense would have seen The Warriors more than once. As soon as the Coney Island Wheel appears with that incredibly chilling music you know you're going to enjoy yourself. You start off about 90 days before the famous meeting, a new recruit, Rembrandt, as in the film, is a great graffiti writer. And so you're shown the ropes by the more senior gang members, all staying true to the film in personality and style. As well as taking missions to build the Warriors reputation, you also have flashback levels, where you find out how the core members joined the Warriors and made them into the outfit they became.

With actions and activities you'd come to expect from hoodlums; stealing, thieving, smashing, mugging, beating, running, and hiding, all enter in the actual gameplay, having to commit petty crime to make your money in order to buy paint, and health in the form of amphetamine. (Just mug the dealer after the transaction to get your money back.)

Graphics wise, this game does not let you down. They are not the crispest, but really give you a feeling of late night New York in a time where you just don't walk the streets at night.

In game fighting and computer AI. The fighting at first is a joy; finding out the different take-downs, button combos, special moves and wall smashes, but after an hour of playing you realise how bare the fighting is, and this is where you start to get bored. (How you can get bored stamping faces into the concrete I don't know, but you do).

So when all the pre-levels were dead and gone, and the game reaches the start of the actual film; that's when you start to want to keep playing; going through the night of the meeting, the famous Baseball Furies fight, the Lizzies, as well as the station toilet rumble all feature.

This is a good game that could have been so much better!!!

It Seems That Everyone Who Has Played The Warriors

It seems that everyone who has played The Warriors has seen the film. I haven't.

So I haven't the faintest idea about the storyline or the characters before playing it.

The game initially feels like a scaled down version of the GTA series but with some basic fighting moves thrown in. In addition you have some influence over the other characters in your gang. The action moves through a storyline that I assume attatches itself to the film and you simply fight your way through New York.

This game is fairly easy to complete so I would suggest that you initially select a harder setting than you would normally choose in order to get the best value from this game. Also the language and violence is strong so you cant really play the game if there are people around who are easily offended.

That aside, I really enjoyed this game. It is not that difficult, you will probably only get 40 - 50 hours out of it but it will be some of the more enjoyable gaming you will have.

A worthwhile addition to a games collection.

Suggest maybe a second hand purchase or a weekend rental.
