Magners Original

my fave cider in the world, love rounding the gals up for a good old bevy.

I purchased a 18 pack of tinned cider and stored it in a cool place ready for a summer BBQ

On going to use the drink I found have the cans had perished and where leaking despite this being well within the use by date

I sent two emails to Magners who chose to ignore both

This shows how much they appreciate their customers

Magners tastes synthetic, with a chemical taste, which makes me wonder whether any apples were ever harmed in the making of this alcopop?

The colour looks like Tizer, another synthetic drink.

Magners; best avoided, and try a REAL cider... there are plenty to choose from.

Unfortunately, I cannot give this Magners review a zero stars rating which it richly deserves.

Magners is Ireland's gift to America. When I lived in Ireland, I drank Bulmers regularly. I am not a drinker by habit, but during my years there I made exception. I do not drink beer because it takes bitter to me, as does most wine. Bulmers was the only alcoholic drink I have ever had that was actually refreshing. For years, I missed it, thinking I would never again taste that sweet, tart beverage. Then Magners came to America. I read up on it, and it is Bulmers, exported under the name Magners (due to some international trademark issues). I waited for a couple of years for it to be distributed here in New Mexico. I am moving again to another Magners-free state. Better drink up, while I can!

I found the tatse of Magners Original quite bitter. It up-set my stomach a little

This is not real cider, in my opinion it's just a cheap alcoholic product that has been heavily marketed.Just shows you how effective a multi million pound advertising campaign is........................if the ads are good some people will spend their hard earned on tasteless rubbish.

Magners is the cider equivalent of alcopop. And ice in cider, does that remind me just a bit too much of the obligatory ice in your drink in MacDonald's? Why is it so expensive? You can pay £3 or more for a bottle of this stuff. I just don't get why people drink it. I suppose the only good thing is that it will introduce people to cider and ween them off lager and alcopops and then they may accidentally try something nicer like real ale or proper cider.

Ice in cider? Adge Cutler would turn in his grave.

Magners Original is far too bland to be considered a good cider.
