Figaro, Norwich

Terrible service at Figaro, Norwich. They still have the thing where the waiter holds onto the oversized black pepper grinder as if it's the most precious spice on earth. Same with the parmesan. Asked for a green salad & was told it was impossible. Chicken pasta special was bland, cold & over-priced. Menu really limited to pasta & pizza. My daughter's pizza was only about 8" diameter. Tatooed waiter surly & unhelpful. Just don't go here.

Overall a good experience on a quiet Tuesday night. The waiter was charming and funny but was not overbearing in any way. Pasta dishes were excellent - perfectly cooked and very flavourful. Generous, too. A classic local Italian ristorante and, as proudly chalked on a board outside, an independent one - and all the better for not being part of a chain. We will definitely return.
