Waste Of Money
I feel completely ripped off. £87 a ticket is not my idea of reasonable for a show let alone a show of such low calibre. The children's parts on Friday 29th were cringe-worthy. I've seen better singing and acting in a school play. Then the grown-up Simba must clearly have been new to the stage. He was dreadful. The puppets were really annoying and badly done. The producers need to be fired. The person in charge of the fall landings as well. He botched the second one up seriously. Gosh, how can they charge so much money for this. Milking the tourists?? I think so. Do yourselves a favour. Choose another West End show. This one is seriously awful. If I could I'd demand a refund of my money for wasting precious hours of my life.

Asking For Donations=disappointing
show was excellent, the lighting perfect. The costumes beautiful. The
orchestra on key. The closing sales pitch and asking for donations by having
people stand and ask for anything even change a total disappointment. Having
paid $609 for tickets $100 for souvenir and $39 on snacks. I'm sure those
profits could go towards the charity of your choice rather than make me feel
obligated to show that I care by giving more. The way it was handled was not
what I would expect from The Lion King production. I considered the production
a high quality and high class show but unfortunately the whole show was
overshadowed by the request for change or donations. I felt like I was at church
when they bring out the basket for the second offering. I would have liked to know that the shows plead for their charity after the show. Times Square/ Miskoff Theater March 2015

Stunning
This show gives me goose bumps! The costumes are stunning, in fact the whole show is a visual treat, add to that a couple of the performers have beautiful singing voices and the acting is very good. Brown Lindiwe Mkhize who plays Rafiki is something really special, her voice is incredible, it gave me chills, but she's also funny and warm and brings the whole show together. If you're in London looking for things to do, this show is a must.

Oh.my.god Amazing
I have just got back from London after seeing this show with
my cousin. It is our favourite film of all time (we are 22 & 25!)
so we was extremely excited to see the lion king at theatre and
it did not disappoint! Absolutely amazing! The actors are
fantastic the costumes are phenomenol. We sat in row G1,2
(restricted viewing) however I did not feel restricted! There is
so much going on We was in awe of everything. I would
recommend this show over & over! 3 words to sum it up...
Fantastic amazing & breath taking! (: go and book it now! (:(:
Amazing Trip To The World Of Africa
"The Lion King Musical" is one of the "must-see" attractions of London. The story of little lion Simba, growing up as the future King, is highly moving and not only designed for children.
The actors and actresses do an amazing job and are really talented. The Lyceum Theatre itself is worth seeing as it is only for "The Lion King" performances and therefore has an African touch.
As soon as the first scene starts you feel yourself sent to the African desert. You could see that the producers really tried to make the musical very detailed, having put a lot of effort into creating the stage set and the costumes of various animals participating in the musical.
Furthermore, the music is haunting. When I went home after having seen the Musical, I couldn't stop listening to my favourite songs for days.
Nevertheless, tickets are quite expensive so you either have to book them in advance, or hope that you will get a good ticket if you try to buy it the day you want to go. Expect to pay at least £40 if you want to have a seat without a restricted view.
But let me tell you that it is really worth seeing and it was among the best experiences I had in London.

Absolute Merde!
The Lion King was the work of satan. Nowt else to say except it looked like the costumes had been nicked off a hobo. Devil-worshippers!
The Standard Must Have Changed!
Went to see the Lion King 12th January as this show had been recommended by a few friends and family. Must say we were disappointed as the performance lacked several of the highlights that we were told to expect. We had very good aisle seats but the show had obviously change from the original as our performance did not match that of our friends and family feedback and the performers really did not lift the show.
We were not alone in our disappointment as the faces on others leaving the theatre looked pretty glum!

Great, See It!
This show is spectacular. Very creative and colorful costumes, clever dancing and overall a delightful performance. I really felt like I was transported to aftrican landscapes. The plot we all know, but it was done very well..
