Very Poor Service

I have been a customer with D&A for 12 years at MK store but the last 2 years have found the customer service lacking. I went into the MK store Midsummer Arcade after my glasses arm broke and have no second pair or contacts. I was quite upset that I needed a quick solution to get something sorted as I need my glasses to drive. The lady at the front desk firstly had no smile so explained my dilema but said that there was nothing they could do and if I needed to be seen it would take a week to get an appointment for cintact lenses. The lady was very un helpful, could not offere and alternate and I left really upset. I went into the Boots D&A and explained my situation the lady was smiling and said she could do a temporary fix. 1o minutes later my glasses had a new arm as they had a spare. THis is what I call FANTASTic CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I totally agree. I went to long causeway Peterborough as previously I have had good service but when I had retest as my original eye testi was unable to see in my glasses in Feb. I was asked to pay full amount when I ordered and nearly 2 months later I have no glasses to wear. My old ones had a broken arm so unwearable and the lady in th ranch told me to tape them. I did suggest how I can drive home as had to leave my new glasses for new lenses. The then went to tape up and came back having cellotping them and the arm fell out before I even put them on. I had to go home to find my glasses I had prior to this not now correct prescription and return. I was told that the glasses would be sent off urgently only to find out they were in the store for one week before being sent and now still waiting nearly 3 weeks later. I am supposed to be driving at night to airport and unable to night drive in currentglasses. I am totally in despair at what to do. Never will I got here again.

Misleading Selling

Purchased a ‘trial’ pair of vary focal glasses at a cost of £380, however after a few weeks use it was apparent they did not help improve my vision and in fact caused me headaches during and after use. I took the glasses back for a refund as they were not suitable for use, but Dolland & Atkinson Clevedon would not refund the money spent. After seeking a refund from the Clevedon branch I contact Boots as they are the parent company. Whilst they were sympathetic, they could not action a refund as Dolland & Aitchison Clevedon is a franchise business. Twice, Boots promised they would ask the manager of Dolland & Aitchison Clevedon to contact me. These calls never arrived. I feel Dolland & Aitchison were misleading in their ‘trial’ sell and they failed to deliver anything more than unsuitable gasses and poor customer service. Sadly I could not recommend.

Excellent Service By Topon

Excellent service by staff after the first pair of spectacles I chose proved to be uncomfortable and ill fitting.

I was made to feel this was not a problem, extra time and patience was taken

in finding a pair more suitable.

I am very pleased with the service I received at Wigmore Street.

My eye test also was excellent with time and care taken.

Excellent Care.

I converted to D&A after feeling that SpecSavers was more like a cattle market than an opticians. A friend recommended them and I haven't looked back since. You get a personal approach instead of being pushed through as a number. The staff at D&A have always been so friendly and more than happy to help. After a year of trying various contact lenses and struggling to find anything comfy, once I'd changed to D&A the optician suggested two weekly lenses and I have been using them since (two years now). They are so comfy and less expensive than the ones I was sold by SpecSavers. I would never return to SpecSavers and definitely recommend D&A.

13, High Street Kensington Branch Scam The Nhs!

this lady optician is prescribing all her clients some glasses even if they do not need it, i experience it twice and many of people i know are in the same situation, i noticed it when she wants me to have glasses and i did not feel the need for it and for my children too, so i went to another optitian and the second one told me i and my children do not need any glasses!

Ripped Off!

I booked in for an eye test and contact lens check at the Kensington branch and was told the contact lens check would be £50. After checking a few other places on Kensington high street, I realised D&A were £15 more expensive than any of the others so I phoned them back to cancel the appointment. I was told that they were happy to price match the cost of the checkup so I decided to the appointment. You're asked to wear your contact lenses for the checkup which you need to take out during the examination. I was then offered another pair of two week disposables to replace the ones I came with. I was then charged £15 for two lenses!!! So no plans to ever purchase contact lenses from them in the future, what a rip-off!!

I Have Never Had To Wear Glasses Before, And Was S

I have never had to wear glasses before, and was shocked to be told I needed varifocals. No alternative was offered. It was a very hard sale even though I said I wanted to wait for my husband to be there to help choose! I ended up getting sucked in and spent £354! I was in total shock. The fitting was poor, and nothing was explained to me. I will not be going back.I would have liked time spent talking about my lifestyle, and a proper explanation as to what was wrong with my eyes. I'd like to understand my prescription and how the glasses work. None of this was done. Plus they charged a £10 form filling fee as I had a form from work which I will not get refunded, so beware!

Its sad that they felt they needed to force you to buy it could be the reason people are leaving in droves hard sell is commonplace just say no and think about it. you have the right to cancel if you want and if you have any difficulties contact their head office you can do it online. I would always go to places where the advice was good and not pushy without too many targets

Good luck with your varifocals

Dolland And Aitchison Offer A Very Professional Se

Dolland and Aitchison offer a very professional service to their customers. The two opthalamologists whom I saw were excellent.

Whilst I appreciate that the technology involved in the manufacture and the production of contact lenses is involved, as a customer paying £360 a year I would like them to provide the perfect vision that I receive from my glasses. These also provide integral sunglasses, and all for a fraction of the cost of contacts.

I Used D&a In Swindon Town Centre. The First Time,

I used D&A in Swindon town centre. The first time, it was fine; Expensive and uncompetitive, but fine. On by second and third visits it was absolutely disgusting. They'd taken on a new optician. The first time I saw him, he made 'cheeky' comments - the kind that are fine between friends, but totally out-of-order to a stranger. The final time, he was half an hour late for my appointment - and then allowed someone to jump in front of me, on the basis that she'd only be in for a five minutes - making me even later! I was on my lunch-break from work and was on a tight schedule. It turns out I had the first appointment after his lunch break; To start with he insincerely apologised for being late, but later admitted that he was just being lazy. Absolutely rubbish. I won't ever be returning to a 'traditional' high street optician. I'll be using supermarkets for my main glasses and will consider getting prescription sunglasses from one of the online mega-cheap places.

I had my eyetest at the Plymouth shop,Cornwall Street, the man who tested my eyes was excellent, he was called Wilson and the lady who helped me choose my glasses - Sue Taper- was also excellent. I will certainly tell

my friends and family of the excellent service I received at this branch.
