Great Riding Bike!

Just traded in my 2012 Bonneville in on a 2016 America. While the Bonny looked great, I was never comfortable riding it. It sat very high and had a high center of gravity. It always felt like it was ready to slide out from under you.

The America on the other hand is perhaps the best balanced bike I've ever ridden. It feels weightless but you know you are riding a big bike. It is effortless to ride. A couple of quirky things you have to get used to. The 883 engine requires a bit more throttle to get it going. Also, you have to run the gears up a bit higher. I spend a lot more time in 1st and 2nd gear than on my Harley Road King.

All in all however a terrific bike. I would ride it any distance.

Most Comfortable Bike I Have Ever Ridden

I just recently purchased a 2006 from PJ's Triumph of Albuquerque. I was literally sold from the test drive. I have never had such a comfortable ride in my life! I also have a 1998 Triumph Trophy 900 and this America is like a night and day difference as far as comfort and ergonomics. The Trophy cuts the wind much more efficiently, and picks up speed much faster with a higher top out speed. Thats about it. The America has a much better feel on the seat, pegs and grips. The America feels like it corners much better and overall I feel like I have much more control in general on the America. The astoundingly high amount of chrome on the America is what really put me over the top. I am super happy with this bike and will most likely end up selling off the Trophy and focus on my New Baby :^)

My First Motorcycle

Just did a 1,000 2-up road trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with no problems. I purchased the bike new last summer and added saddlebags and a windscreen. I have had no mechanical issues during the first 11,000 miles. It also draws a good deal of attention wherever I go. I like the quiet engine and it seems to handle very well for a cruiser although I have scraped the foot pegs on several occasions. The one thing I don't like are the plastic fenders which look and feel cheap compared to the rest of the bike. There has been no problem with torque or horsepower.

Excellent Bike; Comfortable, Smooth And Sufficient

Excellent bike; comfortable, smooth and sufficient power to enjoy the ride. Best fuel range 195miles on a tank.

Very disappointed with the alloy components; wheels, headstock corroding under the lacquer.

Truimph fitted alarm does not like being caught out in a rain storm and will cut in/out at a moments notice.

I'm A Set Up Tech At A Honda,yamaha,american Iro

I'm a set up tech at a Honda,Yamaha,American Iron Horse dealer. I personally test ride every bike we sell as well as all trade ins, and the America is my bike of choice.

The build quality is well ahead of anything else on the market, In my experience the handling, comfort and power are as good or better than anything else in its class.Plus my boss just loves that I ride something we don't sell.lol. Genuine Triumph accessories are reasonably priced in comparison to other O.E. parts and their workmanship is top notch.

The only drawback I see is (at least in my area) a limited dealer network. Overall my favorite bike out of the 15 or so I've owned and the countless bikes I've ridden.

The Triumph Bonneville America Bike Has It All...l

The Triumph Bonneville America bike has it all...looks, style, build quality and great handling. As a cruiser it is eyecatching and comfortable plus it looks like it cost twice the actual price so it's great value too. Nuff said.

Great bike. I own a harley ultra classic, which I love, but this bike is a blast. The Bonneville America handles great, has plenty of power, and is comfortable too. Great value for a unique bike. Draws more attention then my chromed out Harley.
