My wife has kidnapped my MP360 off me.She makes cards for a hobby and has never let her down. This is the best printer I have ever bought as it does what Cannon says it does. Who ever gave it two and a half stars must have a Friday afternoon product.
I bought this printer about four years ago and has never gone wrong.

I love this printer, it makes things print out really good, and so life like! I would never change or get rid of my cannon printer, scanner, copier, well recommend Canon SmartBase MP360 as I haven't experienced any bad points personally with the Canon SmartBase MP360.

I hate Canon SmartBase Printer, I find it very difficult to operate... and it costs me loads because my all in one printer seems to waste loads of ink. Infact the only good thing about this Epson in my opinion is the multifunctional skills.

This worked fine for a while, and then suddenly the print quality declined to the point that I had to use the best output setting to get anything resembling reasonable text. This always using Canon ink. I took out and cleaned the print head - no improvement. Then the scanner developed an interesting 10 minute delay in scanning the simplest image. I re-installed the drivers at the suggestion of Canon - it worked for a while, but then the problem came back. Now the delay is so bad that it's unusable.
I wouldn't recommend the Canon SmartBase MP360 multifunction printer, unless you want to use it on the end of a chain as a boat anchor.

Before I Bought This Canon Smartbase Mp360 I Had A
Before I bought this Canon SmartBase MP360 I had a Epson CX3200, but since getting a new PC the software for the Epson would not install and neither me or Epson could get it to, so I looked around and decided to go for the Canon MP360 as I had heard good things about them.
First thing I done was photocopy the setup guide that come with the printer and I have to say that I was very impressed with the results, the photocopy was very clear and sharp and nice and black, I would compare the photocopy to be as good as a stand alone office photocopier it was that good.
Next I printed some text and graphics and again they were very sharp and clear and was easily better than the Epson I used to have. I then scanned some colour and some black and white pictures and these were sharp and clear and the colours were right in the scanned pictures.
The printer I found it to print at a fast enough speed for my needs and it printed very quietly. I found the printer very easy to use, all the controls for the printer are on the top and there is a copy button, a scan button, which you need to press to do that function you also have to press either the colour or the black and white buttons which are at the bottom of the panel of the controls, these will either scan/copy in colour or black and white depending on what you are copying/scanning. There is also a cool feature on this printer where if you start printing and the output tray is closed on the front of the printer it will automatically open to allow the paper to come out, that may sound like a bit of a gimmick but when I had my Epson I forgot a few times to open the output tray and this resulted in the work not been printed out correctly and or the printer getting jammed as the paper could not feed through.
I have only printed with this printer in the standard print mode, there is a higher quality printing mode but I have not used this as I am very happy with the printing on standard mode, even printing on draft (rough printing to save ink) the quality is very, very good. Also the ink cartridges are a lot cheaper than most, you can get the original Canon ink cartridges colour and black and white for around £18, cheaper if you go for compatable type, where the same 2 cartridges would have cost me £50-55 for Epson original ink cartridges.
Overall I cannot recommend the Canon MP360 enough, some 3 in 1 will maybe be good at say printing but not that good on photocoping and scanning and vice versa but the Canon MP360 is very good at all 3 and that is not the norm for 3 in 1.Buy the Canon MP360 you will not be disappointed.
my smartbase has been a marvel since day one until now. i changed both colour and black cartridges after doing a lot of printing. Since doing this i cannot get the black ink to script, i am having to change the colour to print text when i am able to. Without taking the printer in to be looked at(costly) i do not seem to get any reponce from the outlet as cover has expired, it is approx 18mths old, any help plese. All cleaning funtions have been done, softwear reloaded following instructions to remove first. any help ideas please.

I Purchased A Canon Smartbase Mp360 To Replace Our
I purchased a Canon SmartBase MP360 to replace our old printer a "HP Deskjet 500C" (which I originally got from a friend). I must say so far I'm very impressed. Apart from the fact it takes a while to start up. It prints off top notch quality pictures. When it does start up it prints off very quickly. All in all I must say I'm very impressed.
