My Boyfriend And I Went To Ixia For 10-11 Days At
My boyfriend and I went to Ixia for 10-11 days at the beginning of August this year.
We arrived at Hotel Lito and immediately I had a bit of a gut feeling that this was not going to be how I had imagined it. Straight away we thought it was dead - no one at the bar and no atmosphere. We had to then trek up a lot of steps to get to the main reception, which was difficult with heavy suitcases and the heat even at 10pm. The nights are noisy in the hotel as you can hear absolutely everything aka slamming doors and drunken people.
The reception staff were not very friendly and they came across rude most of the time. The elderly couple, who I assume own the hotel, sit on the top of the steps and they are just as unfriendly. You smile at them and get nothing back.
Breakfast is continental as we thought it would be, but it is basic and boring as it doesn't change throughout the week. And if you are thinking of having lunch/dinner all there is, is a bar run by one guy who arrives late each day and whose food I wouldn't exactly trust.
Pool area is nice but sometimes difficult to get beds - it lacks total atmosphere though.
Main positive is that it is a clean hotel with new towels and bed sheets every day. We didn't pay extra for our fridge although other people have said they did. Make sure you buy mozzie repellent of some sort.
The overall Island is beautiful - Ixia beach has a wonderful breeze and if you meet John on the beach (he owns the sun beds for the belair hotel) then you will get chatting to him and get free fruit! Also if you go left out of the hotel then head on down into the main area for dinner - we recommend 'The Coconut' restaurant, food is fantastic and cater for all, the waiting staff are brilliant and so friendly and the overall atmosphere is fun.
We also took trips to Rhodes Town by bus which is 2 euro pp and only a ten minute bus journey. From there you can get busses to Faliraki (2 Euros pp) and Lindos (4.50 Euros pp), where we also went. We recommend you visit Lindos especially - it is just beautiful but not the place to stay as it is quite far from Rhodes Town.
Overall a wonderful island and brilliant part of the island to stay which I am sure we would sometime return to.

Myself And My Boyfriend Had A Great Holiday At In
Myself and my boyfriend had a great holiday at in Ixia, but the Lito Hotel was nothing special. Our views from the balcony weren't very spectacular, and the view was of the Hilton Hotel next door and loads of bushes. There was lack of sun loungers, so most days we went across the road to the beach, but you have to pay €3.50 each a day. There was no entertainment within the hotel in the day or at night. The pool area didn't get much maintenance, as there were ants all over, and we also saw rats. The food in the snack bar was shocking, and it was hard and not cooked properly. Unfortunately, we didn't try breakfast as we thought the food in the snack bar was awful. The rooms was clean, as the cleaners came every day, and the reception staff were really helpful.
In July/August time you really do need air conditioning, which is €6 a day, which we thought was expensive, but you do need it as you can't sleep at night, and you can also hire a mini fridge for €20 a week.
Nightlife is rather quiet, as there are only a few bars and restaurants, although we did find a great English bar called Velois, where the staff were really friendly. The bar had big screens, and it was also rather cheap. Alternately, you can visit Rhodes Old or New Town, which is €6 in a taxi. There is a lot more going on there. Also, Faliraki was a good night if you fancy it loud.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, as you'd be deeply disappointed, and I wont be staying there again. I'd like to return to Ixia but to a better hotel!!

This Lito Hotel In Ixia, Rhodes Is Fine If All You
This Lito hotel in Ixia, Rhodes is fine if all you require is a roof over your head. Breakfast is nice enough but very average. My main gripe is that the rooms are advertised as being air conditioned and having a mini fridge, however, you have to pay extra for it once there. 6 Euros a day for air con and 20 Euros a week for the fridge, I found a bit much. I didn't use the snack bar at all because the majority of food is English and very cheap - again I think you get what you pay for. I thought this was a poor effort. Despite there being no hotel entertainment, you can hear the entertainment from the Hilton hotel next door until fairly late on. All I used the hotel for was sleeping because there was nothing to keep me there during the day or night. Outside guests are not allowed to visit, which again I was not particularly impressed with - my friends were unable to ensure I was back safely at night time, and I was unable to show them the view from my balcony, which was spectacular. I would visit the hotel again, now I know what to expect.

Lito Hotel Is Fine For A No Frills Holiday. The Br
Lito Hotel is fine for a no frills holiday. The breakfasts are continental style, no bacon and eggs etc, however plenty of buns croissants cooked meats and cheese.
The pool area is very nice and plenty of sunloungers.
Lots of mosquitos in Greece make sure you have sprays or lotion.
Ixia itself is very pleasant with restaurants and shops although if you go the short distance into Rhodes town there is a lot more there.
We had a lovely holiday with no complaints about accomodation although if we returned would stay in a more expensive hotel, you get what you pay for.

Lito Hotel Is A Basic Clean No Frills Hotel. Has A
Lito Hotel is a basic clean no frills hotel. Has a nice pool with free sunbeds and a little snack bar for daytime and evening food. There is also an evening bar which is ok but nothing special. The breakfast as other people have said is not worth getting out of bed for. As a rule the hotel staff are friendly and helpful except for the night manager who is not the most welcoming of people after a 4hr early morning flight. If you do choose to get a room here you must go for a sea view otherwise all you will see is the back of another hotel. Ixia is for couples or families with small kids as their really is nothing for older kids or younger couples to do. Having said that if all you want is a nice quite relaxing time by the beach or the pool and like eating out then this is the place for you. The beach is mostly shingle with a little sand but is good for watersports (windsurfer's paradise). The best places to eat out are Jason no2, Alexsandro, Demitrios, and Imperial Chinese.
I hope this helps any one out their who is looking at this hotel or resort I had a good time here but for me the resort was just a little to quite for me and my partner.

Ixia Resort Was Good But Not A Lot For Older Teena
Ixia Resort was good but not a lot for older teenagers.
Good choice of restuarants off to the left of Lito Hotel but a bit of a walk.
Not much off to the right.
Visit Coconut, Jason 2 and Demetros restuarants avoid Alexandros as you may encounter the unfriendly manager and very poor food.
Must to visit is Rhodes Town very close and Lindos just to experince the Donkeys!
Hotel pool okay and beech (pebbles) just across the road. Very Good relaxing holiday.
Went with Libra Holidays in August 2003.
Enjoy Regards Bob Dodds
