Pay The Extra Money For An Edirol, A Zoom H4 Or So
Pay the extra money for an Edirol, a Zoom H4 or something similar. Build in mics are very convenient too and the mini disc does not have it so, you end up spending $200 or more on a good mic anyway.

I Bought My Sony Mz-nh700 Mini Disc Player Today,
I bought my Sony MZ-NH700 Mini Disc Player today, and I have to tell you that I'm 98% pleased with it. I think that this model is a fair price for the performance and build quality.
The sound quality beats every low and medium grade MP3 player.

I Brought My First Minidisc A Year Ago (a Sony N71
I brought my first minidisc a year ago (a Sony N710). I decided against an ipod as I had MP3 before hand and what always adding and deleting tracks from it. The minidisc I found is so much better. I can get an album and keep it on disk instead of deleting it permanently as is the case with an MP3 player. It is as small and light as an ipod so no issues with portability their. I heard with the ipod you can't replace the battery. So after a year when it wears down you have to buy a new ipod! You can replace the batteries in the minidisc but they do last 1-2 years depend on use :D It's a great little gadget and will continue to buy them and buy the disks as it's so much cheaper than an ipod. (Got this for £84.99 :D) it is so much more convenient, cost effective and useful than ipods/mp3 players. So buy a minidisc rather than an ipod!
