In December, 2020, we contracted with Anthony Sylvan to start a pool renovation in March to avoid bad weather. Without any announcement, some clown shows up in our driveway and tells us they are ready to start. This is in early January, two months early. He says he drove all the way from PA to Georgia. I tell him we are in the middle of a kitchen remodel but he's kind of pushy. He says he'll be back in a couple of weeks. In two days he shows up again, unannounced, and starts to drain our pool. I should have told him to get off our property and I was close but out of respect for the subcontractor I let him continue. That was a mistake. Virtually that same day Anthony Sylvan calls to say they don't have the tile and will have to delay construction. Great. I already removed our safety cover in preparation for them starting. While on the phone with this guy I look out the window and my 17 year old dog is literally drowning in our pool. He died that way. OK, he was half blind and deaf but he didn't need to die like that and it was totally unnecessary. So I fired Anthony Sylvan but now my dog is dead, my pool is drained, and they refused to pay to refill it. I estimate the cost to refill my pool at $600 so I gamble and hire another company. At this point in time (February 2021) my pool is tiled and ready for final plaster but there is no window of decent weather to complete the job. Thanks Anthony Sylvan. You just had to think only of yourself and the fact that you had no other work to do so you found someone you thought you could bully into starting early, and DID! Unfortunately that was me. Don't let Anthony Sylvan take advantage of you.

We contracted with Anthony & Sylvan Pools over 10 months ago. We intended to have the majority of construction done last year, and the final plaster and fill to take place in late March / early April. After raising many issues along the way, and having most ignored, they finally came out to plaster the pool and fill, but apparently the pool was no where near ready. It took a full 9 months to get to the point where they could actually put water in the pool... and now it leaks.

They have sent out their own internal leak specialist... who couldn't find the problem.

Then they sent out a third party leak detection company that spent two days looking, but could not find the leak.

I found the leak in about 4 hours, and confirmed it within the first day. They still have not been out to address the leak, or even called to discuss, even after I told them specifically where it was, over a week ago.

Along the way, they damaged our lawn, gardens,and driveway, failed to address items we pointed out in real time, and had tremendous turnover of construction foremen. Garbage and construction debris littered our home for over 6 months. They could not have possibly cared any less, and blamed everyone else.

To a company, every subcontractor told us how difficult they were to work with. One went so far as to say the majority of their work was not primary pool construction, but going back and repairing Anthony & Sylvan errors and poor workmanship.

The sales process and experience was terrific. Then we made the mistake of writing a check, and then paying in full. To say they are non-responsive to the customer would be a kind.

Lots of promises. Lots of people saying they were the one that would solve all issues. Lots of wasted construction delays.

We struggled with Anthony & Sylvan from day one. Won't commit to a schedule, don't control their subs and they are the worst at managing the project. Expect twice as long to build and set your expectations very low because they spend most of their time covering their ass. A very frustrating company to work with, but if you are one day late of prepaying they will shut your project down, and even after they get your money, then they will not show up for weeks.

They use the same subs as all pool companies so don't let them fool you that they are better than anyone else. They do have one good field guy that does the start-up. We live in Charlotte NC

Choosing Anthony & Sylvan was the worst choice ever. It took almost a year to complete our pool project. We had multiple project managers due to turnover. There was no quality control which they touted during the sale. At every turn there was an issue that we had to fight to get resolved. Even when we identified an issue, some were never resolved and new issues are emerging which they point to contract and say no warranty even though there were issues identified during the installation. Every time they are out we deal with incompetence. I have never dealt with such a horrible company. Save yourself the stress and go with someone else. Update: Anthony & Sylvan has been working through the issues.

Great experience from design to completion. Every team member worked with me thru each step. They all made sure I knew what my options were before starting work. I loved the fact that they give so much square footage of concrete and you have a choice of were you want to put it. Example - I could of had walkways of 5 or 6 foot the whole way around or you can have 4 feet on three sides and a 12 foot pad at one end like I chose. Great all around experience. Even after the sales staff draws your plans you can change things with in reason with no extra cost. The pump that was installed is much more pump than I need, however it doesn't cost more. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We built our pool 4 yrs ago with Anthony & Sylvan. This was our first pool and we did in depth research prior to choosing the company. Anthony & Sylvanoffered the most comprehensive package that was tailored to our needs and by far the best value. For the most part, the construction process went fairly smooth, but when there was an issue, I would just call our project manager and he would take action immediately. In fact, even after our pool was completed, he still made himself available to answer questions and he would come to our home to address the issue personally too many times to count. He was more than happy to help us. As time went on, there have been a few issues that have arisen that needed to be addressed. The warranty team lead by a gentleman and wonderful assistant was right there to help us out and made sure the issues were resolved. The relationship with everyone we have dealt with has been amazing. From warrannty, the service team and the team at the Montgomeryville retail store have not only provided their office numbers, but have provided their e-mails so even on the weekends, we could contact them. I have been amazed by their quick response. We have had Anthony & Sylvan open and close our pool which has made this such a stress free event. We test our water at the Montgomeryville store and the staff is so knowledgeable and extremely friendly. They make you feel that you are a special customer. I am impressed by the way the entire company at Anthony and Sylvan all work toghether and if one department can't help, they go out of their way to contact the department that can and even follow up to make sure that everything was done to your satisfaction. I believe that they differentiate themselves from other companies by focusing on customer satisfaction as their primary objective and treat you as a valued customer. I would recommend Anthony and Sylvan to anyone that was going to construct a pool. It is a complete ecosystem where every aspect of pool construction , service, warranty and guidance from the retail store in maintaining your beautiful investment all work together and strive to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction. They are extremely loyal to their customers that I believe they place the highest value upon.

Their retail staff are super! They really know what they're doing and my pool is well taken care of thanks to their computerized water testing. Thank you!
