We also had to wait for the order, but not too much. Though when you are hungry every minute counts.

Understaffed, but pleasant. Took a long time to take the order. We ordered food at the same time as drinks. Food - simple things like a burger and a steak baguette - took 25 mions to arrive. The food arrived before the drinks. Our waitess was embarrased by this, made the drinks and cam back within 2 minutes.

No sugar came with the coffee. The steak in the baguette tasted "old". Burgers were nice, but 2 of us had a funny tummy within 1 hour of leaving.

noone asked if things were ok during the meal.

An appletiser was taken off the bill for our inconvenience.

Visited the new Cafe Uno in Brentwood, Essex yesterday, Sunday Sept. 4th. What a beautiful restaurant so modern, chic & clean. We were greeted by the manager with a lovely big smile & made to feel so welcome. Service was fantastic & the food delicious. Staff were so knowledgable about the menu and as they had sampled everything were keen to help with your choice of food. Presentation was excellent & everyone in the restaurant looked as if they were having the time of their lives - including the staff. What a lovely atmosphere in which to enjoy a delicious, well cooked meal. We shall certainly recommend this restaurant to friends & family and we shall certainly return in the very near future.

arrived on feb.1st. having phoned to book a table and inform the staff of a voucher i had just printed from moneysupermarket.com which extended their 50% off offer. was told no problem and was booked in. on arrival i decided to confirm the voucher situation only to be told the offer had expired !!!!

no comunication between their head office and the restaurants on this i would guess and no common sense from the staff to look into it or make a sale by honouring the voucher...we left...and they did not care !!!! service - not here !! sorry cant comment on food and will be able to - as will never go back.

Staff were friendly and polite, which was nice as in most places you do not get. portion sizes were of a decent size and a good price as most places are now over priced. All in all a very pleasant place to go.

what's wrong with some of the reviews. I am Italian born and you will not find any place in town to come to close to this place. It is a great place with great food and service.

Take my word, I am a world traveler and you won't find any better. Segafredo espresso, Bindi cakes, hommade gelato & and awesome pizza!

wine prices that you can not even match at grocery stores! I am regular fan and eat here at least 4 or 5 times a week.

There were six of us and we all loved the food...we have tried to replicate at least two of the dishes. We cannot speak highly enough of the service, food and atmosphere. If you are interested we tried a beautiful Risotto dish (and I am a harsh critic of risotto...must be perfect) and it was. A Carbonnara dish ....also excellent....etc etc

Also dessert.....Yum! Need I go on. Price point...ON

At Cafe Uno I experienced seemingly indifferent service from staff, food very poor (a long hair around a prawn, salad which was brown and limp) when order was taken a list of things that they had run out of was listed, like ciabatta, cheese for pizza and vanilla ice cream! These are basic ingredients.

Left with the feeling of disappointment and poor value for money. Will not be going back!

not the sort of place you go if you want to impress - I think it survives because of its location and its outside seating area - Overall not a great experience - needs to employ friendly staff

I love it there. Lovely food, good qualitly of service, clean and hygienic, staff are plesant, food is quickly prepared and fresh.
