Run Away

They were a great company 20 years ago. Now they are terrible. I moved websites to a new host. Cancelled domain reg. Closed account. Got billed for SSL when I have NO SERVICES with them. They refuse to refund SSL as it was more than 15 days ago. I closed account a month ago. Contacting support, account is still open, they refuse to refund. RUN AWAY! THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND LIKELY ILLEGAL! If they were honest I would not write this review.

Aplus Lost Entire Site

Had you asked me 2 months ago I would have been happy with their services. After nearly 10 years hosting my web page, created and revised by three separate web designers (two of which are now dissolved) APlus lost all my data and information and has no record of any of that data on any of their back ups. (We had even used their online site data backup which is also gone) Their response after numerous calls over several weeks to tech services and Customer service was simply We're sorry, the information is lost and cannot be recovered. That was the limit of their attempts to re-mediate their mistake, leaving me with having to rebuild my entire web site costing me thousands. This review applies to there new division as well 'Deluxe for Business'.

They may have been a relatively inexpensive annual service but now. all my other costs will double to restore that which is lost.

Worst. Host. Ever. Avoid Aplus.net If You Are Rese

WORST. HOST. EVER. Avoid Aplus.net if you are researching this!

I'm usually an easy going person but this company has greatly tested my patience. After a move with their MySQL databases to a remote location, it completely mucked up my sites and they were basically 'broken'. I stitched them back but they constantly had issues. There was once a 3 week period where I couldn't even access my databases.

They've even gone above & beyond in the cPanel to disable the ability to remove additional FTP accounts and domains so that you're billed for them. You have no way to disable this without calling in.

Finally after 2 1/2 years I just got fed up when my websites started crawling in order to access them that I moved to a different host service who at least answer my tech questions within minutes unlike APLUS which take days. Trying to cancel with APLUS has been an even worst nightmare as I've been ignored and hung up on. I will now have to fight with my credit card companies on all future charges.

Be a smart consumer to avoid this company. Go with a reliable host who actually cares about its customers.

After 10 Years With Aplus.net, I've Given Them Up

After 10 years with APlus.net, I've given them up for good. Their technical support, while continuous, is inconsistent. Their escalations department is rude. In fact, I've found the executive staff far less accountable than the rest of the staff. It was my web master who urged me to go elsewhere and, after destroying site content and refusing to fix it, even changing our user name and password so we could not access and repair our own content, even making false accusations about our company, I could not recommend APLus.net to anyone.

Beware!!!! We Have Been Using Aplus /codero F

BEWARE!!!!

We have been using aplus /codero for dedicated hosting for a few years, and whilst we were not overly impressed by there support capabilities and lack of knowledge they did deliver out of the box solutions ok. However real problems came when we decided to move to another host. We have tried to cancel the account for 3 months and been ignored. Still we have been unabled to cancel and are being billed. we have had to take this up with Visa Credit Card Disuputes. So Beware!!!

They Were Terrible, They Build My Website And It N

They were terrible, they build my website and it never work after 2 years it still does not work I have not gotten a single sale because the shopping card has an error, it shows error 101, at the end of the sale, cancelling the sale. I'm so mad and disappointed because they won't refund my money, and can't fix the problem. Their technical support was nonexistent, didn't know what there doing.

Many bad points from my experience:(1) A Plus were too expensive for my personally, I had my card blocked by my bank(2) I gave up some domains and 1 year after they wanted to charge me for renewal as far as I am aware(3) despite my reclamations and complaints, I wasn't able to solve the charges yet in my opinion(4) unhelpful staff as far as I am concerned from my experience(5) they put Google ads on hosted sites(6) very complicated system for me personally therefore I do not recommend this web hosting company - Aplus.net.

I will recommend A Plus hosting only if you have enough patience to fight everyday for something. Not very good hosting. The customer support can't seem to answer my questions because they are outsourcing and they don't know the details of the hostign CP.

I Finally Got Billed; As You Can See Below: One T

I finally got billed; as you can see below:

One thousand two hundred five dollars and ten cents - and one suspended

account.

That is the price I am paying for trying to help.

Its amazing how it is easier to get rid of someone who tries to point out

the mistakes than it is to fix them.

When I signed up for my account I was really happy, after watching the flash presentation, what came to my mind was - "Wow i am dealing with one, if not, the best dedicated shell providers out there"

So much bureaucracy, so many thing to sign and send back to them by fax,

it made a plus look even better and better.

When i logged into the account, and tried to download something, i got the

amazing rate of 4mbits , I had never got that fast. Ii was living a fairy tale, a dream, but then it all turned out into a huge nightmare.

After realizing the free bsd version installed was 6.1, I decided to update

to version 6.2 , which was impossible to do. The kernel wouldn't even compile.

So far so good, that happens all the time.. i got into the live chat, and while i was telling the helper what was going on.. i realized the hole was much deeper.

I decided to do some security checks as a routine, and got alarmed to what i

saw. i tried to notify the live chat assistant, and he had nothing to say. I insisted he either didn't know or acted like he had no clue what I was talking about.

I asked some questions like

- why do you charge for IP setup, when they are all misconfiguration on

the same switch

- why the system is all opened to everyone sniif it, and get access to

all passwords going on through those ips

- why i keep getting tons of arp requests from other machines, like

they were trying to steal my ip.

He had no answer for any of my questions. So i decided to show him what i was talking about. I scripted something, and grabbed all the ips running on my switch. over 1000 ips, of course it was exaggerated. I could have taken 10 ips, 1 ip.. that would be totally low profile, I could have back doored everything I could have sniffed everything without saying a word, and in less than 24 hours I would have tons of passwords with me.

Believe me, if I was going to act in a malicious way, I would never had told

the helper desk guy about the security holes. Everything would go so discreet, i could sniff everything for months.. and it would never be noticed, and i am sure you know that. Instead i grabbed over 1000 ips at once, and what have i got ?

A suspended account

So I tried to talk in live chat - got no answer I called the guys - explained the entire situation and a dedicated server support said: "so you were trying to teach us a lesson?" - believe me, i am not a nerd/hack kid, I hired and PAID for a service in order to run a legitimate business, well, he at least told i was supposed to call back on Monday. Dont worry, I will.

I feel very sorry, for the way you see this. The a plus mentality is so far from the reality, "you tried to teach us a lesson"

That's really how you see it ?
