Spamfighter Has Saved Me A Ton Of Time

There aren't too many programs that I consider "must haves" that get installed on nearly all my machines, but Spamfighter makes it onto any machine that I check email from.

I've been using spamfighter for several years now, with older version of Outlook Express to my newest laptop with Outlook 2010 and it's been a huge time saver for me as it's enabled me to focus on the emails in my inbox that need attention rather than having to spend 5-10 minutes a day having to clean out my inbox. That being said, it's still a good idea to check your blocked mail folder once in a while as false positives will happen - there simply isn't a spam filtering method that's 100% accurate.

The free version of spamfighter is likely good enough for most people needing a spam filter for personal emailing needs. After a couple years of using the free version i did eventually upgrade to the paid version for the unlimited blacklist entries and to remove the ads. Your needs may vary.

I can't recommend Spam fighter enough.

States Spamfighter Pro Is Windows 7 Compatible, Wh

states spamfighter pro is windows 7 compatible, which it is NOT, also states their SLOW-PCfighter removes all errors which it does NOT, need to claim with paypal for refund which they do send but paypal holds this so you can return item to them, which as a downloadable item is impossible so you tell paypal and they then have to wait for spamfighter to repospond so they can release the refund, but this is spamfighters response

"We have made a refund to you. You have not been satisfied with the speed of that. Hence you have contacted Paypal and made a claim that you need a refund, as you feel that we do not want to refund you. We have refunded you accordingly on October 27th. If you check with Paypal you will find that this is the case. Paypal are waiting for a confirmation from us that we will refund you based on the claim that you made to Paypal. We will not do this as we have already refunded you on October 27th."

even showing them paypal accounts that the refund has not been released they do not care.

further to my review, this is another message from spamfighter staff

"Well tell you what, go check with Pay Pal then because you obviously don't believe us. If you are not happy with that then please by all means contact a solicitor and start whatever proceedings you deem are necessary.

In the mean time I have sent out a email to all our partner companies, all my linked in contacts and recommended that they do not deal with you. Because if I can spare one other company the time and effort spent we have spent on you then we will have made good deed for the security software industry and any other software related industry for that matter.

Tell you what. Please send me your personal paypal account and I will personally pay you the 11.95 we owe you. That is a fantastic cheap price to have you out of my life."

The Product Works To A Certain Extend, But Fails B

The product works to a certain extend, but fails badly in filtering lots of types of spam. Terrible customer service, their staff are arrogant, rude and don't care.

Product doesn't beat all spam and in fact Microsoft Outlook detects plenty of Spam that SpamFighter doesn't.

I have been using this product for about 3 or 4 years and it used to be great but has gone considerably down hill over recent years.

I have spoken to them a number of times and they say they are more concerned about making money than fixing problems with products... their words, not mine.

I would definitely not recommend this product and would avoid using them altogether. They had such great potential so it is a real shame.

I Used This And It Worked Quite Well So I Bought I

I used this and it worked quite well so I bought it. Well, it's turned out to be nothing short of a disaster. I've missed so many valid emails that it's gotten to a point that I'm embarrassed in front of my clients to tell them that I've missed another of their emails. And, this on top of putting them on my white lists. That white lists means nothing - it doesn't ensure I receive emails from peopl on that list. This program is a joke.

Couldn't install on XP with Office 2003. Invalid pointer error. So having read the reviews as well I guess this software is not well tested enough on enough machines to be stable. Sorry guys but I cant recommend something I cannot install.

Good when working, but frequently does not open with OE leaving one to manually sort through loads of spam. Help seems unable to help. Usually advice is to delete and reinstall but this does not solve the problem for more than one session.

Finds Spam Ok But Spamfighter Took The Diabolical

finds spam OK but SPAMfighter took the diabolical liberty of emailing everyone in my address book, without my knowledge or permission, trying to sell their product

I Had To Remove The Spamfighter Application After

I had to remove the SPAMfighter application after only a couple hours on my computer because I had to terminate Outlook five times during that time. I think I probably had a conflict maybe with my McAfee but I don't like the idea of stopping the scan of incoming email to let a spam filter, that doesn't catch all my spam, be my sole source of protection. I had great hopes and may try it again at some point in the future.
