Rude And Unprofessional
Bromley branch is a shambles
I started my a 1 week assignment as a traffic marshal as I was between jobs due to agency take over and studying for my cpcs so I took a job on the Thursday... I was told the umbrella company they used would charge about 12 a month for payroll... so I agreed ... when I started the job I was put with a guy who all he spoke about was his love for cocaine and shoplifting and crime All day in which devalued my experience in such a nice area where I grew up. I also was the only one who actually did my job all day, I then got a call from the payroll company NWM on the Monday at around lunchtime with this rude lady saying it comes to £67.50 a week payroll fees before tax and NI and was deliberately going round in circles trying to confuse me with bs and pressure selling tactics belittling me and talking rubbish When I complained to hays they also acted clueless for 2 days thus wasting 4 lengthy phone calls and rinsing my patience with more rubbish and rudeness. I also didn't like working for a guy who's name began with m who sounds like a teenager with his street ghetto words and accent I found that unprofessional too. I resigned after my second day as it was a shambles and I didn't want to work for people who pay peanuts don't pay for lunch hours and are rude and Disorganised. My time is precious and I know my worth as a highly regarded professional.
Awful
This is why recruiters receive a bad name. Rude and lacking in common decency to respond to an email - despite the fact that they requested a time for a chat. I sent an follow up and they still didn’t bother to reply. Deters someone trying to find employment. Unsupportive and useless
The HR recruiter is terrible
Never Approach This Company!!
I would give this company zero stars if I could. Had an appalling experience last week and will NEVER again attempt to seek employment opportunities with this organisation.
I am presently on a temp contract with my current employer which comes to a close early next year. I thought let’s look and apply for a few jobs to get ahead of the game. I came across a job as ‘marketing assistant’ which links close to my skill set so I applied!
I received a call the next morning from a lady from the Glasgow department who discussed the role in more depth and told me my CV suited the job well. She even said she spoke with the employer who was very keen on my CV too! I was told my CV would be passed on and I would probably receive an interview by the end of the week as the employer is looking to start someone quickly. I was also advised I would receive feedback with my application. This gave me encouragement that I was one step closer to obtaining a job.
It got to Friday and I heard absolutely NOTHING. So I emailed Hays in a nice and police manner looking for feedback into my application. I also stated if my application wasn’t successful if I could be provided with suitable job opportunities that link to my CV skills and experience.
From sending this email correspondence I have heard NOTHING. I would have appreciated an email confirming the status on my application. I thought it was Hay’s job to help people find employment and aid them by finding suitable opportunities?! It’s clear individuals within your company aren’t doing their job but instead ghosting and not responding to emails.
If you are reading this and in desperate need of a job avoid this company like the plague. It’s a cruel way to treat individuals who are striving to find employment in these difficult times.
Didn’t Bother With Any Feedback After Interview
No feedback after interview yet again sending out an email that the employer is still looking for someone. Regardless if you did good or terrible feedback should be a norm.
Incompetence From The Start And Change Rates
I had a nightmare experience with Hays Recruitment, Birmingham. The initial recruitment process seemed very good and consultant seemed helpful and engaged. We agreed before interview on the rate advertised. After I got offered the role the rates in the ad were no longer correct and were a mistake. Ha! That old chestnut. Sorry I was using the wrong framework. Ha! That old chestnut. I am not born yesterday I knew what she was doing. However we agreed to meet in the middle after I wanted to decline role. The onboarding was a nightmare - incompetent and surely to god they are used to contractors who have gaps in their CV. I spoke to a senior manager from the client organisation who confirmed the rates in the ad would have been confirmed by HR.
When I was obviously worried about problems with their timesheet system she just laughed and thought it was funny.
The whole process was so stressful I felt depressed and not great when starting a new role. Consequences were that the onboarding took so long that I had very little time to get myself familiar with the new organisation before I had to launch a major scheme. I do believe my experience with Hays triggered a bout of depression and inevitably caused me to leave my a fairly well paid role due incompetence. Only Value Larger Employers With Money To Spend
I have found that their great treatment as a small business wanting to fill a vacancy is not great. They are clearly focused on larger organisations where they can get the most profit from multiple vacancies and repeat business. Consultants treat small and medium sized organisations as if they are barely worth the trouble engaging with and only then from squeezing as much money from them as possible. As an employer - not a great experience.
Annoying, Slow, Time Wasting And Unprofessional
They didn't copy most of my ID at registration, the compliance team seem completely incompetent and lazy sending half finished un formatted forms to candidates expecting them to do,( surely that is what registration is for right?) no one needs to work for them, there are plenty of other good employers out there. I only gave one star because you have to in order to submit a review.
Corrupt And Amoral
It is very obvious these large recruitment businesses still operate and run a blacklist of employees names who not to employ or just simply harass with promises of fair play and callbacks. They don't. If you are one of the many unfortunate unemployed trying get back into work and using Hays, then HELL has a quicker chance of freezing over than Hays ever getting you a job. Even the jobs you would have lowered your specs on just to get an interview, the applied online application you would have sent to Hays only comes back to you within a few hours same days stating you have not been selected in the process. And these are jobs much lower than your graded skills and required salary. Most recruitment agencies were running a blacklist inventory back in 2009 until it was rumbled by the Police corruption agency. It's fair to suggest these awful recruitment offices still have a blacklist only much more subtle with todays technology between themselves sharing names and CVs for instant rejection thru email. If you phone them, they only establish you thru your full name and postcode in conversation and you can detect the tone change and their answers become wishy washy, confirming they would ring back, they don't.
Q&A
A man who says he works at the Manchester location. Tells me he is a recruiter there. Has me give him my info bc he's putting in the application since I'm not there to do it. when it's all said and done he said I have to send y'all $1,000 to process and accept my details and to make my paper's and ticket/visa ready. Please let me know what is going on.
Can any body tell me what the notice period on a temporary assignment would be as the company I'm working for would like me to go on their books full time. I was told it was 12 weeks plus 1 and I could go on a weeks notice from hays. I tried this and hays said it was a months notice I've only done 12 plus 1 is this true does anybody know?
